Noctis has a demo man that floor breaks (15:30). He has a move that picks up of the ground (14:44). He has a long range spamable low that is hard to punish and has a mid mixup option (7:59). He has a i15 frame punisher with good range (15:13). He has a super long range keep out mid (7:44). He has a decent low crush launcher (9:11). I hope (2:55) isnt the only homing game he has but other than that Noctis looks hella good!
His Combo Finisher looks great. Him and Master Raven will be a really exhilarating match up. Flashy teleports, and weapons flying everywhere. I don't know why they gave him a "slide" I feel like they give too many characters slides. Using the magic grenades as part of his throws is a great way of including them. I think they did a good job but I'm worried all these cameos are creating an elite group of characters with a set of spacing tools that the rest of the cast haven't been included in. It's like there's a subset of characters forming, some legacy, some new, some special guest, that are completely rewriting Tekken's zoning/spacing game but half the cast are being left out of the club.
Just because Tag 2 had every useless character (and clone) included, doesn't mean every Tekken afterwards should include all characters. This doesnt make any sense from a balancing or development cost perspective. With each generation of consoles, development costs go way up. T7 has 36 characters in the base game, thats an insane amount. Characters costs money. Characters like Noctis and Akuma, whether you like them or not bring way more attention to T7 than a trash character like Anna, who is only liked by a vocal minority of the Tekken userbase. Also, it has been said FROM THE START (january 2007, with the first big info dump on the release date) that the DLC would be GUEST CHARACTERS ONLY. Get with the fucking program and move the fuck on, or go back to the cancer that is TTT2.
I miss my girl Julia, Lei, Zafina, Anna, Baek, etc. But if you look at the character select screen, there are still 10 slots available. So hopefully we'll get Legacy characters announced sometime soon
Guilty Bystander So, Kuma and Panda are clones and they are in the game. Moreover, they have a lot less 'Character Usage' than Anna. Also, Anna is no longer a clone of Nina since Tekken 5 because she has an entirely new moveset.. What are you trying to prove, hypocrite?

Dragunov also has less range than Jack and Gigas, but you gotta be a god to be able to space him out even with those guys. Backdashing out of a character with good range is nowhere near as easy as you think. But who cares about that, did you just see how much freaking range his weapons have? Seriously.

Disappointing that you can't fully customize him. He does have a lot of costumes but it would have been better if we could change both his top and bottom clothing.
