I use to work for one of the teams that raced GT3 cars in the Extreme Supercar series. It has to to be noted that getting a factory built GT car to be competitive in the series is a lot more cost effective, rather than redesigning a road car to be competitive. Reliability and maintenance being the biggest factor. I must also say that the passion that Cobus and the team have for what they have built is very cool to see, Rarely in Motorsport in SA do you see a group of guys working so well to improve on a concept and push the limits further. As a motorsport fan, I'm excited to see how far you guys can push the design concept. Best of luck for the year ahead
I was impressed by Scribante's heavily modified GT-R, and this Porsche was just as good. I think that the photos posted on Facebook also have documentary value. I appreciate you uploading a great video.
Congrats guys on your achievement so far. It is gratifying to know that there are people in RSA that are experts in their field, one always expects to see this overseas only. The mechanicals sounds awesome. You guys rock!
Nice guys this is the best way to market, motivate people to come to you rather than make some generic message that we are forced to watch every time. Very nice!
The turbo fans looks great guys, subtle change in carbon-fibre direction. The entire car looks great, the colour reminds me of Frisco which is such a cool reference if that's what you were going for!
Great video, very interesting to see what goes on in the motorsport scene in SA. Would’ve been good to see some more of the technical details of the car though, brakes, suspension etc. As stated by someone else, the team should definitely try to take it to Pikes Peak and run it against the American built Porsches there - that would be a real challenge!
It is a long list of specs, parts & tech in this car and the guys knows them inside out. Well done! Very impressive. * Like the GTR in the back ground. 🙃
Does your workshop only work on your cars or do you do customer cars as well. What would this 997.2 engine cost to build to this level. Would you be able to fit this engine into a Cayman. P.E.
I have lived in Stuttgart, for a few months, there are bridges in the city where you can sometimes see the Porsche's on the test track. All black, and fly so fast, you barely see them.
To beat the others, do what is already done, throw money at it and time then hopefully the driver has a good day. Id rather see a v6 mid engined Micra or mr2 spyder with a v6 than an overpriced porsche but thats just thinking outside the box and not where this is with its glorious music and mainstream appeal.
This is South African racing at its best! Best team in SA, probably in Africa. The way the guys talk about the car and their jobs I'm in awe....

Well done, Kobus!! It's awesome to see him doing what his passion was from when I met him when he was 11 years old! Working on engines from that age!

Absolutely a masterpiece. Welldone Franco and team. 🙌
The car is fast and impressive, what a machine and an engineering masterpiece.
Damn, wish we in the USA could watch that series.
Nice guys this is the best way to market, motivate people to come to you rather than make some generic message that we are forced to watch every time. Very nice!
The way it shot past the Lambo to take lead at Killarney was insane!
Wow this Porsche is gorgeous. It sounds insane. Idk much about South African racing but It sounds dope. They should take it to pikes peak.
The turbo fans looks great guys, subtle change in carbon-fibre direction. The entire car looks great, the colour reminds me of Frisco which is such a cool reference if that's what you were going for!
A Porsche for the ages, well done team and design team. Can put it up there visually with the 919, 956, 918 etc. Classic.
The pastel green paintwork is beautiful.
Listening to Kobus Jonker talking through the details!! He knows his stuff!

Super nice GT Turbo! Awesome guys! Can't wait to see you at Killarney again.
Well done..Bravo!!! That is one badaxx 911. Wishing you the best and hope you take home the victory flag.
Incredible! Have you considered taking it to Pikes Peak? It looks like a mountain climber.
hi from the uk. that was very interesting and I did enjoy watching. 👏👏👏👏.
Please do a video on their Lamborghini and beautiful FAW truck that transport these vehicles. Well done Silvio and the team at Scribante!
Africa is so Beautiful ✊🏾👌🏾✊🏾
Stunning work!
africa proud. yes man
It is a long list of specs, parts & tech in this car and the guys knows them inside out. Well done! Very impressive. * Like the GTR in the back ground. 🙃
“Our secret sensors.” 😁🙌🏼
It's from south africa? It's perfect

Is there no Time Attack series in SA for monsters like these and the ones from the Knysna hillclimb to compete?
Top class 👏👍
That merc! 😮
Die kar kom baie mooi.
Ek hou hom al lank dop.
Die grys lyk goed maar die mill spec kleur lyk better.
SUPER
Nice build, whats the 100-200 time for it? :)
How does one get into racing for one of the teams in the SA race series?
Is that whine the straight-cut gears or a super-charger? I know a bit but not enough lol
Gears definitely
@@Realtime1501 Thanks :D
What a machine
Stuggarts finest

im sorry but what series? i dont have the funds to watch satellite tv
Im waiting for the Hilux GR Sport and Ranger Raptor drag race
dat gear whine .. damn
Secret knock sensors 😂
Het Hom by passion for speed gesien is a master pece
It's possible you may get more views of you showed a lot more driving... Like a full lap. Talk before and after.. but the driving is what many want.
It looks like a time attack(Hillclimb)car not a race car.
I did not see any silly wings on it. And there was no mention of a hill. How do you surmise? lol
Wheres your helmet pal?
Imo they ruined it why take a turbo s rather use a gt2rs as a base. The turbo s is luxury performance and the gt3 is race performance
Could go so much faster with a spoiler on the windshield…
faster ,faster

I Mean its cool i guess.
Yeah, I guess it is cool ... absolutely zero government handouts 🫢
Money can buy happiness
At least it's not as ugly as the gtr
Amazing!!!
Proudly South African MotorSport🫡
Eskom Engineers should/could take some advice from these fellows!!
When can we see the car in action at Swartkops
Well done, Kobus!! It's awesome to see him doing what his passion was from when I met him when he was 11 years old! Working on engines from that age!
