In fact, I'm trained but have not actually worked on the field. These videos keep me up to task, and I can not wait to go to the field. Thank you so much.
Happy you like it Nikolay! You will learn here more then there, but still the 'paper' will be useful ;) BTW there will be soon the best course ever available :) Good luck and all the best, see you on site!!
Thanks Greg, yes the paper is all what I need as I have been working on site for many years (started as labourer then carpenter then completed HNC and started working as site manager and just few weeks ago completed my BEng degree in Civil Engineering and now want to be a setting out engineer. As always, please keep up with more good videos.
Thanks Taswer, I do not have access to TS02, but imagine that is very similar to TS06. I will try to get one of new generation models like TS03, TS07 and show in my channel.
You are doing a noble work of teaching people the art of surveying. Amazing video, very helpful. I am a recent graduate in Civil Engineering from London and looking to start work in the field of surveying, could you suggest me some good surveyors to work for in London and how to approach them for a trainee /junior position. Thanks.
I really enjoyed d video, it has really helped me to remember sum of d tins I used to kno wen I had access to TS 06 Plus..pls, wen are u going to release a new video..??
Hi Greg. Thanks for your tutorial videos. I saw someone has already asked for the virtual versions of the TS16 for practicing purpose. I almost have the same question. As far as I understand, there are/were/have been several software from Leica with different names which simulate different model of instruments. Like you mentioned in this video, the one is used here is Leica flexine. So my questions are: are these software open source or paid? What's the name of the latest ones which simulate the robotic instruments, ideally TS16 and 15? And how can I access them. Thanks
I downloaded them from SCCS page, but can't find it there anymore. It was for free. Separate simulators for flexline, viva and captivate series. If you find it please let the community know
Hi! Yes there is, but I can't find it anymore on the page I got it from, will check other page sent by one of our friends and if it's ok I will leave the link 😁
@@SITENG Thank you, really appreciate your help. Im working my way through all your videos and making notes as I go so this would be really handy to practice at home.
Hi faramosh! When you look at the EDM you can find the centre of it seeing the lights. There is a different colour when you are on the left and different when on the right facing the instrument and thus you can find where the instrument is facing exactly (e.g. when you do a stakeout).
Greg do you keep all your station points under one job and your setting out points on a different job? Then change jobs after you do you take your backsight?
Yes, I keep control job separate and don't mix it with any other points also doing resections in separate job not to keep all the data in my control job
Using this interface for the video is an great idea !!! It will be much helpful when you will use it for all your videos : is easier for us to listen your comments and watch what commands you use on controller...
I mean from EDM or inside programme there is local survey witout reference point...so i would b very thankful if u could give me some new idea fr the layout of new bridge
Thank you very much for these videos. I am really learning so much. Prior to this settings, do you already have your fixed points (RT1, RT2, RT3) known? If yes, how does one achieve such? Thank you again.
Hi Ovie! The control points will always be given to you. I will show control points drawing in the drawings section. Sometimes you will have only position of grid pins (primary control) around the site and then you will have to survey/co-ordinate your new retros to be able to set out the site.
Thank you for the brilliant resourceful videos. I have one question , is it possible to correct the data if the reflector level was mistakenly set to 20m instead of 2 m?
In fact, I'm trained but have not actually worked on the field. These videos keep me up to task, and I can not wait to go to the field. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for sharing this you are helping me out alots thanks

Hi, Im just starting out in construction. Is there a virtual option for the TS16 so I can practice with the settings at home?

Hi Sergi, I will do. Actually I am missing a video for TS15 setting. It will be with the interface :)
I mean from EDM or inside programme there is local survey witout reference point...so i would b very thankful if u could give me some new idea fr the layout of new bridge
You will need a reference point, you will need to set up the station, especially if this is a bridge :)

I have one question , is it possible to correct the data if the reflector level was mistakenly set to 20m instead of 2 m?
Thanks Zerai! You will have to export data and take 18m off your levels. You can do it even in excel. Hope it helps :)
@@SITENG thank you very much. I highly appreciate it. I managed to correct it and looks plausible.
Great!
Hello engineer I want to ask how much is the price of ts09 in dollar?
Dependant on accuracy, but between 6k - 9k I would say. I am not dealing with equipment sales so the best if you look on net
@@SITENG thank you
no problem!
