I've been wanting one of these for a long time now, they're so cool not to have. I like the look of these a lot, and also I didn't quit guitar and I won't be quitting anytime soon.
@@CircuitsAndStrings Right, I don't want scratches from using a Guitar pick. Using a Guitar Pick on the Uke will enhance the sound, and also a strap will support the instrument.
Very informative video, thank you! Been trying to get as much info on the Telecaster ukes as I can. I have some questions if you have the time! How heavy is it compared to a regular concert ukulele? I had my eye on the Epiphone Les Paul ukulele for a while, but when I tried one out at the store, I was surprised at how heavy and solid it felt (and frankly the weight turned me off of buying it). Is the Fender Telecaster uke hollow or solid?
Sorry for the late reply. It doesn't feel noticeably heavier than a normal shaped concert ukulele. It is a hollow acoustic. I feel that the top is responsive. That seems to be a big complaint of the Les Paul uke. The top is dead. I think that Barry Maz of Got a Ukulele is reviewing this tele uke this weekend. That could be a helpful resource.
@@CircuitsAndStrings I appreciate your reply! That was the impression I got from the Les Paul, it had a muted sound compared to the others I tried. I also looked up Got a Ukulele and found their review of it. Glad I didn't buy it online! I'll keep an eye on their channel for their review of the Telecaster. Thanks for the suggestion.
Generally Barry is hard on guitar shaped ukes. But I really like Teles, and I think it sounds good too. I think the biggest oversight was not installing strap buttons.
what’s the difference between stratocaster and telecaster? i nearly bought the telecaster uke today and when searching for it i learned that there’s a stratocaster too.. and now i’m feeling lost again and unsure which one would be best (yes, i’m a beginner. very much so). i’d be so so grateful if you could reply. thank you, m🙂 🙏
They both should sound similar. The Stratocaster should have a larger headstock and double cutaway. The Tele has a smaller headstock and single cutaway.
@@CircuitsAndStrings thank you so much ☺️ i’ll do a little more research (which will include googling “headstock” and “cutaway”! ☺️). with warm wishes, m
@@CircuitsAndStrings It's an updated version. How about a Sitarlecaster Ukulele? A Sitarlecaster is a Telecaster w/ a Buzzing bridge to make it sound like a Sitar.
Very cool video, I think im gonna buy the same uke in butterscotch blonde for myself. Btw, does anybody know where can I find tabs or a tutorial to play the 3:01 demo ? It sounds very cool but I couldn't guess the chords. Thanks a lot ! 😁
I think the butterscotch blonde is the coolest color for the Tele uke. As for the song, it’s a little riff that I wrote that I have never named. Maybe someday I will write out some chords for it.
@@CircuitsAndStrings meh, maybe screwed is a little too strong. There are plenty of great ambidextrous options, so if I choose one that I have to flick with my middle finger that's on me. I can't entirely blame the designer for ignoring a demographic that's only about 10% of the population to produce a product with cleaner lines, but whatever. I like how it sounds too.
That is one cool looking uke!
I agree. It’s really fun.
Nice little ukulele. Definitely classic style.
Now it just needs some strap buttons. 😀
Can't wait to give one of these a shot. That butterscotch one is calling to me. Good demo, bud.

I am glad. Please don’t ever quit the guitar. 😊
@@CircuitsAndStrings don't worry, I won't quit :)
The Pickguard will keep the Uke from getting scrached by the pick when you go to use one.
You don’t want scratches from shredding on the uke. 🎸

Woa I love it!! Can we add some effect on the sound? Like saturation etc..?
Because it has a pickup and an output jack, this uke can be used with all sorts of effects pedals.
Wait a minute, you already made Telecaster Ukes, but Fender made them after you did.
Yes, I have made some tribute Teles in the past. But these are genuine Fenders!
I have never had a chance to play a ‘52 uke. I wonder how they are? All it is really missing is the pickguard.
@@CircuitsAndStrings A pickguard that'll keep the Uke from getting scratched when you're using a Pick to strum.

woah...i'm normally a very patient man, but that unbagging of the Uke' nearly caused me to become violent...lol
I hear you. As I was struggling to pull out the box, I was thinking to myself, “this is why I don’t normally do unboxing vids”.
😆
@@CircuitsAndStrings a good video none the less! Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching. 😀
Love the uke!
BTW, is your unboxing tool a CRKT CEO?
Thanks for watching.
You definitely know your knives. 😄
Yep, CRKT CEO. I’ve only had it for a week, but it is a super sleek knife. 🔪
@@CircuitsAndStrings it is nice, but alas, I'm left handed.
Ah man. That must be annoying. I’ve been watching a lot of knife videos lately. It seems like lefties get screwed a lot. 😕

What is one knife that you would love to see a lefty version made?
How would a left handed player cope with this instrument?
A left handed person would have to restring it and play it upside down. Maybe eventually they will make a lefty version.
Can you use these with amps?
Like, do they have a jack cable output like regular electric guitars?
Yes, they have a output jack. You can plug it right into an amp and rock! 🤘
What the hell is with the switchblade
I wanted to open the box with style. 😁
Fender just made this when you already made two electric tele uke lol
I have made some, but this is a genuine Fender!
Telelele is the only acceptable name
