BMW M4 has a downpipe and OTS Stage 2 tune on 93 octane on a DCT transmission.
Evo X has an upgraded GTX3576R Turbo kit, with full bolt ons, ported head, upgraded cams, on the stock shortblock( limited to shifting at 8k for safety) on E85 with a 5 speed manual transmission.
1st race was from 40 MPH
2nd race was from 50 MPH

Evo definitely had the in gear pull, but the shifting was way too slow. Gotta flat foot that thing to keep a 35 on boost. Looks like he was afraid of the 4-5 shift too.
and no brake boost... if he brake boosted evo would have jumped infront

Always appreciate your straight to the point videos!! Driver mod needed. Hes granny shifting & short shifting......the silver evo 9 making 550 would have done a better job ...matter fact that might be a good race. Silver evo 9 vs the evo x.
Glad you like the videos! That evo 9 would win. It can rev out all the way to 9k cuz of the built bottom end and its lighter. Unfortunately his car is down and don't know when it will be back up and running
@@AutoGlory I was thinking the evo 9 would win because of the better driver. The evo 9 is prolly lighter about 200 lbs but I feel the cams make a difference. The evo x should be in boost earlier and have a wider powerband. The driver needs to make the most out of every gear and rev it out. Even if the evo x only revs to 7.5k the cams should give him a advantage and be able to run upstairs.
The S55 platform is so good with just a couple bolt ons!

No brake boosting, granny shifting like he shouldn’t. He doesn’t “need” to go to 9k although it helps a lot. He needs some big turbo driver mod.

Brake boost is like the most important thing you can do roll racing the Evo especially with the manual trans and the gear ratios it has and with an upgraded turbo. To be fair they aren't really roll race or drag cars unless specifically built for it, so it's good to see it hanging in, but you have to quite a bit for the evos to shine on a straight line compared to the bmws

I don't see too many evos out anymore. He needs that built bottom end to rev to 9k though. Makes a difference

first off i’m gonna start by saying, great race.
i am the owner of the evo x, everyone who is saying the car isn’t 600whp, well it is. simply put, gearing for 40 rolls of higher are not ideal for the evo x. i have a motor being built right now for it that can rev almost to 10K, i have a built trans as well. anyone who is saying i need a driver mod can line up with me in mexico or the drag strip and i’d be glad to have some fun.
That OTS stage 2 on the BMW is pushing on or about 500whp and maybe 530wtq depending on the quality of fuel. I do not doubt your Evo is pushing 600 wheel, but it wasn’t pushing 600 in this vid.
So why no brake boost then ?

you wish you had 600hp.. if it was 600hp you would've slapped that M4 but you kept up first race and lost 2nd race . your tuner is lying to you my man. you need a built internals for anywhere over 500hp on any evo platform.
Everything but built trans and built block..m4 minimal upgrades and still hanged, rear wheel power..I’d say this, if that m4 goes pure turbos it’s game over

There are plenty of Evos that have gone quicker and faster than any f80/f82 could ever dream to go.
Very impressive sense that m4 is probably making 470-480 wheel hp
maybe a bit more but really impressive still
evo definitely isnt at 600whp.. with a 3576 without cams n just bolt ons... he is more 520whp

driver seem fine to me, auto vs manual what can you do🤷🏾♂️.
Keep in mind he's missing out on 1k rpms of powerband because of the stock shortblock. With a built bottom end he can bring it to 9k ..... which the turbos can rev out to. So that make a difference

$10k on mods vs $1,500 on mods. The Evo can drop another $15k building the block and tranny but all the M4 has to do is go on E85 and it'll be an even race. M4 upgrades turbos it's game over.

I was like go team Evo until top end was running out for him 🤣🤣. I know awd cars usually top out faster than a rwd drive car. Either way good race for both of them .
evo driver didnt shift into 5th.. he stopped at the top of 4th.

Your top speed has to do with your gear size.

Hes missing out on 1k of rpms because of the stock shortblock. Those turbos should be revving to 9k. So peak numbers is 1 thing but the entire use of the powerband is another. And ofcourse manual shifting vs dct is another lol

What I'm saying it has a lot more usuable power to go so when it shifts at 8k he's going to be at lower power when he shifts into higher gear when shifting at 8k compared to what 9k would be

@@cokemachine62590 I didn't ask so I can't give you that answer but I'm going to assume he didn't take it 9k. The stock shortblock wouldn't be able to handle 9k with that much whp or atleast not very long. That's why I know he's shifting at 8k. But I'll guess it made 600 just b4 8k
