Steamed Buns are one of the traditional Chinese breakfast. The original buns are plain and just made from flour. This is another version with pumpkin added. Enjoy!

I like steam buns so much. These look great, especially if served with green tea.
Right, they are good with tea too 🍵

Hi Ling & Mr Camera man
Your steamed pumpkin buns looks tasty & so fluffy 😋
Our best friends mother makes the steamed buns with pork meat & we loved them 🤗
We like them so much when visiting China town we purchased about 4 dozen ( to share also )
so easy to steam or put in the microwave for a great treat !
It’s been a while since I’ve had any living here in Fl

Thank you Ling
I couldn’t remember the exact name but my brother knew 😁🤗😁🤪
I tried 2 recipes before and didn't work well, it turned into a doughball after steaming.
I Made your recipe today and works perfect!
thank you for sharing. Will definitely make it often
Good job 👍 So happy to hear 😊
Excellent you ❤️❤️
Lucky you have a person to talk to when you are cooking by yourself , the cameraman !
I’m lucky ☺️
Thanks Ms Ling for the video.I wonder if i can use the above and stuff fiilings in it
Yes you can!
Looks delicious and light. Is it slightly sweet? Would Traders Joe's canned pumpkin 🎃work? Tfs. 🙏
Yes, you can the canned, E G 😊
They look awesome. Could you fill them, too? If so, what do you suggest?
You may fill with red bean paste. Enjoy 😊
Or just sweet pumpkin
Thanks for sharing recipe. Just wondering: did you have to refill the boiling water during 20 minute steaming?
Good question! I would check if water went down too much and add more hot water.
can I increase the pumpkin like 1:1 ratio of flour and pumpkin?
You may try. It probably will be softer.
吞口水!
试试哟 😋
Do you have a bun in your oven?
Haha, no 😀
I've had them before but I never made them from scratch
Will you try, Ronnie? 😊
@@ChineseHealthyCook there's only about 10 recipes I can bake really good - but it's still not my strong thing in the kitchen but I'm trying to get more versatile
How else can this be steamed , I don't have this steaming gadget! Anyone has any suggestions
As I said, you may use steaming rack in a pot.
Very cool 😎
How many gm is a cup of flour😊
240 grams
Could u put pork inside
Technically you can or put red bean paste 😋
Red bean paste 😉
I really like your ideals how you make your food keep it up you'll make very good food I also like your ideas how you make the things like you to watch your show all the time the best Chinese🥡🍜 food I like you are amazing🏆🏆💯 keep it up so hello from Malta🏝☀️⛱🛳🏖
Thank you 😊
I've watch other video making pumpkin steam bun-cake, and failed with a bitter taste, as I used baking SODA, which is a bad idea as there isn't any acidic elements to activate the carbon dioxide. Next time I will use yeast or baking powder instead.
Hope it works out next time.
