I noticed both subs need to grab more and also the parry is for when you feel like you can no longer block with high probably. So you're blocking and blocking blah blah blah and then when you feel like you lose the confidence to read the next block, you use the parry because it eliminates the need to have to read whether to block high or low. You have to be in their mind and you have to read your confidence level and directly proportion your parry to your lowered confidence threshold. Once you feel like you're below 50 percent, that's when it should happen. It's never advised to bait a parry because the whole technique here is from a defensive approach. It's not an attack. Tough part is knowing when the jump in happens because parry doesn't parry jump-ins.
but great matches, love seeing Tony and frosty try to use probably the most difficult variation in the game. It's a perfectionist variation. It's dark souls dude.

Unbreakable has some cool stuff. Real talk, I thought Cryomancer in the early days was pretty dope. You could get near 50% off 50/50s with it. When they tried to "Buff" it in XL they somehow ruined it's dirty stuff. I also wonder if any pros utilized grandmaster shatter combos in the corner? Insane damage.

I was a main player of umbrekable subzero and men i enjoyed so much this matches. But its a hard one and not very rewarding(low damage combos), you have to play defensive counter react gameplan trying to abuse ice armor and the parry plus the subzero mix can be very reactable. So Frosty also wasnt optimal in various situations, the character can reach 41%42% 1 bar corner combos and not rely so mutch in hardknocdawns(frosty and tony have plenty of situations like this) since you dont have any special to do set ups like grandmaster variation. Anyway love the content. 🎆👍🎆
I'm an advocate of not blocking and instead abusing throw and parry in unbreakable. It's mind games that really makes the variation shine.
@@AllThingsAction The aproach was "use the tools that are given to you". My personal style was abuse ice armor and ex. Never use it on knocdowns or enders, always for an extra mix even if your oponent react with down 1 poke. Its the fastest way to build meteor. And do chip damage. But this resource dont even compare to characters with special cancels. 😬

I’ve played sub zero since the games release and personally I wouldn’t say this variation is under rated, its the least fun to play (the most is cryomancer) and the weakest of the three (the strongest is grandmaster)
Reason i play is i just find like the extra conversions u get really fun. Like yk b12 db3 242 just little things like that yk idk. Fs the weakest variation tho

Honestly i hadnt a clue what unbreakable did. But im immediately hooked. Any character that applies a buff that can change the properties on normals or specials are my FUCKING JAM!!! It's the same reason I picked up Cyber Sub Zero day one. The ice drones add so much to the character. Obviously i enjoy cyber sub for more than just that. But id be lying of i said it wasnt the main reason.
Do keep in mind though, I'm still very *very* new to MK in general. Having only bought them right at the end of this year's steam summer sale. My views are not based whatsoever on what's actually good in this game. I'll develop that sense more as I practice

@@vTheStranger I've actually gotten pretty okay with Cyber Sub Zero and Unbreakable Sub Zero! I absolutely love the mechanic buffing mechanic with his ice shield that turns buffs some of his moves.
