When you look at his goal record and the clubs he’s played at the last few seasons his career at 33 has taken a massive nose dive. Sure he’s talented but if he was that good he wouldn’t have spent the last three years being a journeyman. I don’t think he will have close to the impact Del piero had on the A league

The governing body are useless and bleed money. At least the clubs can behave and perform as a professional international organisation in the way they attract players as the APL are as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.

All 12 OCEANIA Nations should join ASIAN FOOTBALL CONFEDERATION, it would be more beneficial for all Nations, playing Regular and Better Quality Football Matches.

But considering how many names/good players have left the a -league in recent years and the lack of investment from the government I don’t think this is a bad signing at all , i think he should do well!

SFC still going the old failed formula of signing has beens. Del Piero one of few exceptions but this guy is not in that league. CCM have shown the way.
CCM were successful because the big clubs weren't performing. Look at that Sydney team from 5 years ago that had Bobo, Ninkovic and Mierjewski, totally different levels.

It's good for the league as a whole when a big name comes to the league and plays well. Or at least plays. The problem is, a lot of these guys are pretty much finished when they get to the A-League. Costa is a shell of his former self and has had a string of leg injured over the last 4-5 years.
He'll be hated in Adelaide. His countryman Romario played for us and he's a bigger legend than this wannabe
