That’s a huge issue for this deck. You could set up a great board and get hit with a feather duster or something and have nothing left. The baronne helps, and zeb has that protection effect but I’ve definitely been completely blown out by a little bit of backrow hate lol
Finally got around to trying the new cards for the deck. Seletricce is just what the deck needed. Rev synchron is about 3x better than assault, as it helps make afd and pivot into the crystal wing regulus lines, looping regulus with the discolloseum is also rlly good. Scelta works wonders for putting bricks like regulus and discolloseum back into the deck, and being able to easily pick and choose which spells ull be resolving multiple times is amazing. With a pureish build with nothing more than just 2 rev and 2 tuning along with a discolloseum and a regulus all held together with like 3 slots for a handtrap of choice, u can easily end on boards like zebufera+ trap + toad or with some better hands stuff like zebufera + crystalwing + regulus + grave setup and/or trap on field. I do still play a small performage engine just for the extension capabilities it has but ive bumped it down to the bare minimum.
Rev and regulus does make a lot of sense. I may have gotten too focused on trying to fit Baronne in a combo to see outside of that. The new support is amazing. Turned a pretty meh archetype into something really cool with just two new cards
That’s actually a pretty reasonable tech. Between penguin and jigabyte you might be able to come up with a consistent enough line up to make that toad in most games. We just need a Bonfire for every type in the game to make it work lol

I think you’d have to pick between one or the other because you would need the Vaal monster on board for either play to work unfortunately. Maybe we’ll get one more extra deck spellcaster or something that’s in archetype to bridge the gap

The problem of this deck is spell/trap removals that goes on the angel, and with that it starts to lose interactions in the opponent’s turn

Hear me out. Guard penguin. Take damage, trigger summon, gain Lp. With the new water spellcaster gives you access to bahamut/toad
