I'm glad you mentioned the Coronavirus. When you were preparing the stock, I made a mental note, to add garlic. The better our immune system, the better our ability to fight the virus.
I know this was posted two years ago but actually vitamin D has been proven to be far better for fighting any viruses especially covid as not only does it actually boost your immune system but it has been proven to help protect your lungs against covid which is where covid actually attacks before any other part of your body so your lungs get the worst of it. Garlic does nothing unless you are eating a cup of it every day.

I have had migraines in the past, I know how awful they are, the light sensitivity, the noise sensitivity, even the smell and taste sensitivity After literally suffering for years, my doctor put me on blood pressure medicine and I have been migraine free since. I will have to try making this, since my wife recently tried the store-bought stuff ( a good brand) and now craves it. I have no doubt this recipe will meet her approval. One of the reasons I love to watch is that you show homemade food such as my grandparents and Mom made. Having a strong faith and sharing it with your spouse is an important part of life, love and spirituality. My wife and I don't usually cook together but do spend that time in the kitchen together. I've always lived in a home that had the kitchen as the main area for people to interact. Since it's just the two of us in this time of shut down, this time becomes very important.

An old recipe says to add mace , a spice I could not find in a grocery store ..had to order it on Amazon and it’s basically a nutmeg but it sweetens the broccoli soup w/o having to use sugar ... it says to just use a dash of mace which I looked up and is just 1/8 th of teaspoon .. I loved your recipe just put a dash of mace in and it’s so good ...thank you for the recipe 👍😊

I use about 1/2 cup of leftover mashed potatoes instead of corn starch to thicken + add little more flavor. Thx for sharing Becky, stay blessed

I had no idea sugar was added to commercial soups. I made soup a lot during the winter we just love it I love the taste of celery in my soup.

An old recipe says to add mace , a spice I could not find in a grocery store ..had to order it on Amazon and it’s basically a nutmeg but it sweetens the broccoli soup w/o having to use sugar ... it says to just use a dash of mace which I looked up and is just 1/8 th of teaspoon .. I loved your recipe just put a dash of mace in and it’s so good ...thank you for the recipe 👍😊

G'day Becky.. I've not made broccoli soup in ages, but I'm sure going to do so soon. It looked so yummy.
Over here in Queensland, Australia it's hot and humid. Also being subtropical we don't ever get snow. I think we will have a thunderstorm before the night is over. But, it's still good soup weather.
