The manager has to be part of the problem - no way he can't see it too, but he's clearly not addressing it off the pitch as nothing is changing, if anything it's getting worse every game.
This has happened to every decent striker we got after post fergusion era.the martials and rashfords kept denying our strikers.also the midfield were timid to attempt a forward pass or a through ball atleast.

No just old Uncle Cal 🤣 but i would be using cold compress for 15-20 mins on and off wrapped up in cloth every two hours in first 24 hrs-48 hrs, not too much because it can damage skin then after that same again but warm compress to ease the swell and sooth.
Plenty of vitamin c to help heal cells heal and prevent clotting but keep the eye elevated during compress even as you sleep slightly. I've had a fair share and seen a fair share back in the day being a bruiser on the streets of Manny, in a ring or on a mat, but if you have dodgy vision that's when you see medical attention.
Journalists need ask this question in press conference not rudely but ask why Hoijlund not receive passes he gives his teammates
This is a HUGE problem! Those who are criticising Rasmus for his lack of goals clearly don't understand football. The poor guy is being let down time and time again by selfishness and the odd terrible cross which he is probably absolutely stunned to see coming anywhere near him. EtH has to be held responsible for this as selfish as the wingers have been, EtH has not disciplined this out of them. Bench them for selfishness once or twice and watch them learn to pass a ball. These cretins will distroy Højlund's potential otherwise.

There are two issues with that. (Three if you include the rather annoying Goldbridgean argument of "If you disagree with what I'm saying you don't understand football...")
The first is that when they have put balls across the box, he has regulalrly been either too far ahead of the pass, or just behind it, meaning that what should have been tap-ins for a £70 mill striker, have been completely missed.
Whatever he might become, right now Hojlund isn't great at timing runs to simply knock in a flat ball played across the 6 yard box.
And second, playing with inverted inside forwards is not about supplying a centre forward. Its about having multiple avenues to score. If you "re-invert" them so that Antony is playing on the left and Garnacho/Marcus is playing on the Right, they will create more chances in the box, but fewer for themselves.
And when Scott McTominay has been regulalrly getting to those chances ahead of your 70 million pound striker, you have to at least start to ask the questions about his instincts and positioning.
Absolutely spot on! The manager seriously culpable in persisting in playing wingers on the wrong side which forces them inside on their stronger foot thus narrowing our attack which cramps the space for Hojlund! They never go on the outside to cross the ball and we wonder why our striker is starved of chances!

@@eamonnpotts5063 You make it sound like those opportunities don't exist. They do, there have been plenty of opportunities this season for Hojlund to get on the end of a ball across the box, and he has reliably been either too far ahead of the pass or too far behind it.
Example from yesterday
Around the hour mark, Luke Shaw put over a beautiful cross from the Left after a one-two with Garnacho at the corner. Hojlund is so far ahead of the cross that when Martinez hits it, Hojlund actually blocks the shot, which otherwise goes in the back of the net. An experienced playerwith good awareness wouyld have read the curve of the cross and been about a yard and a half deeper and looking to come on to the ball.
I'm sure Hojlund's potential will eventually lead to a decent player, but his current awareness, instintcs and positioning are nowhere near ready to lead the line for Man United, which is WHY we need other players trying to score goals.

Of course his timing of his runs are inconsistent. So would mine be! Not knowing whether to go or hold your position with regard him being unsure if a cross is actually going to come in or not! Our wingers forever cut inside. One. It narrows our attack. Two. They never hit the byline. And three. Predictable for opposing defenders! Ten Hag culpable massively!

Fergie had more quality wingers in waiting. Besides Garnacho, we got nothing else on the wing. You could say that for almost every position. It's easier to threaten players when they know there is a quality player/s to take their place. You sure can't threaten Rashford with Antony for example. It will take us years to get to where we want.
Do you remember when Sir Alex told Scholes Carrick and Rooney if they couldnt find Van Persie with the ball they wouldnt play well just maybe thats what Ten Hag should be telling Garnacho,Antony, Rashford and anyone else who plays. Disapointed to concede 2 goals like that when were in control of game. Have to score more and be clinical at early point in the game. Glad hojland got his goal, wingers are scared to pass and cross to him like proper wingers should be. Happy to score 4 goals and be through this is a serious realistic chance for us to win a cup this season

Story of our season unfortunately with players making daft choices at crucial times. Erik is clearly not being listened to because he seemed very frustrated post match. That being said I think there are positives, Mainoo being the main one and Hojlund being hugely unselfish and working incredibly hard. As for their goals, the first one is a bit lucky. The second one Dalot doesn’t close his man down, but it’s not like we ever got out of second gear. Once we get that 11 back match sharp playing regularly together again it’ll be fine.

You can just see Hojlund is a ticking bomb. Once he activates goals will come from half chances left and right. But not until Rashford, Garnacho and co. are doing whatever they want. I think there has to be somekind of plan when United gets to final third, it is very down to individual dribbling from the wingers. There need to be more of a plan on how to attack, patterns, runs, passes and crosses to the striker, there has to be more drilled attacks, not just down to wingers dribbling. As it is now. Really drilled passes, runs, crosses and passes.

Before Mainoo scored Antoni was at the same spot and received the same ball from Dalot and he blasted the ball. Mainoo showed how it’s done. Both Antoni and Bruno wasted many chances (although he got one goal and one assist and Bruno got the MOM)

Agreed, the decision-making was really poor at times and Rashford wasnt even playing. Only positive was Fernandes keeping things knitted together, and having Martinez's distribution from the back.
There's absolutely zero chance our wing players are being directed to feed Hoijlund in training by our coaches.
If they were they'd be doing it by now. This is an ongoing issue since he joined and it appears EtH doesn't see it or doesn't think it needs addressing.
This is why I want 10Hag to get out. Coaching must be to get goals but it's not happening which means they do not practice including him in anything. Wolves already won. United are just not good enough
I am a teacher and I address some gaping problems pupils have but they keep repeating em sometimes. I think ETH addresses em, but the kid is too young (Garnacho).

Ste I hope you see this, I play in West Cheshire in the same league as Higher Bebington Kelma and they are all proper donuts. In the away game first 15mins I went through on goal and the keeper absolutely rugby tackled. I thought it was a pen, the keeper went over to the ref right in his face screaming it was outside the box. So the ref agreed and said, if it's outside of the box it's a red card 😂 sent him off, and their whole line is calling is gobsh*tes and cheats etc trying to start fights. We had 17 and 18 year old lads playing for us, just a gang of absolute bellends the lot of them.
No matter who we play this is how we play it’s embarrassing tbh
