He was an uncut gem before coach B got his hands on him. Now he is the most impactful/dominant center along with Tavares, thought they are kind of different. He is the best playmaking big, but what i think that needs to be mentioned more often is his perimeter defence against much shorter and faster guards. He has a way to stay in front of them and block them, which is fenomenal considering his body... P.S. People that say he fouls at post, clearly haven't touch a basketball in their life... And even if we say he does, go watch how defenders try to guard him. Most recent example is Voigtmann, who used his hands and knees to push him the whole game.
Finally having Fall & Milutinov available has allowed Olympiakos to switch in every posession and the impact has been tremendous. As for the P.S.... yeah, he has the technique of a lumberjack, but sometimes I feel bad for him- opponents hugging, pushing, twisting, tugging and the whistle goes against him the moment he pushes back. Reminds me of the wrestling Sofo had to put up with!
In 2021 I couldn't believe that a nomad (8 clubs in 8 seasons!) with such limited technique, coming to Olympiacos from ASVEL had anything worthwhile to offer. Sometimes it feels good to be wrong! P.S. If only he was a half-decent free throw shooter!
M. Fall has an undoubtedly high court and pass ability for a player of the center position. He also excessively pushes with his hands opposing players out of position and does wraparounds but somehow hardly ever gets called for it (0:14, 0:22, 0:37, 1:05, 2:36 just in this video). All players (especially big men) would be able to make a greater impact on the game if they were allowed to be charged with 9 personal fouls instead of 5
Mr. smart guy, Fall is constantly also being fouled in most possessions, and the refs keep the game going. It's the same with every dominating big ever ( Shaq, for example ). They get fouled more often, and they foul more often, but in order to keep the game going, the refs let some fouls go.
Was an average sevenfooter and became a gem in bartzokas system. Now costs a lot of money.Good job again baskethead.

Can we get a video about the change in the Olympiakos defensive strategy? Pretty please?

Ofc he had to adapt since his offensive game is weak. Become a passer was the best option

He has undoubtedly haunted your dreams too.
An incredible player with an amazing talent to commit offensive fouls with no ref calls
You wish. He is by far the best center in Europe
