    Get the smaller plastic cuff keys, easier to hide and won't trip a metal detector. Sew them into the hems of your pants with a way to get them out easily, or inside the back of waist. And get a ceramic razor blade or some thin kevlar cord strung between non magnetic finger loops to cut your way out of other things.

    I always had a natural sewing ability ever since I was a little girl, at 6 yrs old I even had a Holly Hobbie Sewing machine (banned these days because of a moving sewing needle) I was making barbie clothes.
    I was a young mum having my son at 17.
    When my son was in yr 9 high school in 2003 (aged 14), he asked me to sew some stash pockets for him & boy did go hard, I made little stash pockets all over his pants & tops, small pockets in the cuffs, behind brand names & pictures on his tops & bigger stash pockets all the way down the seam edge of his pants & ofcourse those tiny pockets around the waistband of jeans & pants just like in this video.
    I thoroughly enjoyed making those alterations aswel as seeing him make use of those pockets.
    Like Chinese whispers, I realise news travels far (&sometimes changed), I often wonder how many people & how far the idea of my son's stash pockets go to, that was told by his friends

    Linked cuffs can be broken at the swivel with little effort or practice, if the key hole is opposite your hand side or you cannot shim.

    • @JurassicPrepper
      @JurassicPrepper  3 місяці тому

      in order to meet NIJ standard, cuffs have to withstand at least 495 foot pounds of force, would be difficult for even a body builder to muster this while in the cuffed position. there are many ways you can pick cuffs though or cut through them with a diamond wire saw.

    The only issue is see is that unless it is some form of official or even official security they won’t be using hand cuffs but more likely zip ties, which some you can break. I actually carry 150 lbs breaking strength which you are not going to break by hand. So along with a key some form of small knife( ceramic?) or Kevlar cord might be prudent.

      Are you referring to high security cuffs like those made by ASP? We can switch the key with one that works with a keyway blocking blade, but that is a very small market segment of the handcuff market. I'll mention cuff keys that bypass a blocking blade in a future video. Most cuffs are Peerless or Smith & Wesson standard double locking.

    Great info, but according to FBI crime statistics, the US violent crime rate has fallen significantly in the last 3 to 4 years; and is still trending downward. Now, there are places where it has gone up, but overall, violent crime is down; especially, compared to 2019-2020. There are plenty of sources online that backed this up. Here is an excerpt from one such article: “In 2020, the United States experienced one of its most dangerous years in decades.
    The number of murders across the country surged by nearly 30% between 2019 and 2020, according to FBI statistics. The overall violent crime rate, which includes murder, assault, robbery and rape, inched up around 5% in the same period.
    But in 2023, crime in America looked very different.
    "At some point in 2022 - at the end of 2022 or through 2023 - there was just a tipping point where violence started to fall and it just continued to fall," said Jeff Asher, a crime analyst and co-founder of AH Datalytics.
    In cities big and small, from both coasts, violence has dropped.”

    there's 5 kinds of handcuff keys, including the more rare type that's like the keys used in vending machines. So the key needs to be double-ended and the one that you wear in back needs to be different from the one you wear in front. If you're flexible, you can wriggle your arms down until you can get your feet between your legs and have your cuffed hands in front of you. With little cross-bar in the middle of the key, you can still rotate it. You dont need the double lock tip for ESCAPING from cuffs. That part is there to keep a cuffed suspect's wrists from being cut by the tightening of the cuffs when he tries to escape. Tha'ts the least of your worries when YOU are the one who's cuffed.

    • @JurassicPrepper
      @JurassicPrepper  3 місяці тому

      95% of the entire United States handcuff market actually consist of only 2 companies. Smith & Wesson and Peerless Handcuff Company. Both of which are normal double locking cuffs that open with both the traditional metal keys and plastic keys shown in the video. Less than 1% of all United States law enforcement use highly specialized cuffs like ASP High Security handcuffs.
