That clown shit was going down during my sophomore year of high school (2016). I went to a private school that was only a couple miles from the local public high school. Literally, it was close enough for both cross country teams to run it there and back once a week for practice. Well, the clown thing got so bad that there were a couple groups of full grown men in clown costumes threatening students by standing just off school property where they could be seen through the windows at both schools. Students, including me (a 5’2” 15 year old) started carrying knives, scissors, and whatever sharp shit we could when school ended. Shit got so bad at both schools that some of the kids with cars would drive the loop between the schools to keep an eye out for the kids walking/waiting for their rides. One of those clowns ended up getting nearly killed because a senior from the other school slammed him with his Jeep. The clown was terrorizing a girl walking around the school to the local ice cream shop. She had to sprint away from this dude because he had a fake machete in his hand but she wasn’t close enough to see it was fake. It was apparently one of those super dull ones you can get from a ren fair that is still made of metal. The senior saw a clown with a machete and turned off the path he was following to chase the guy hoping that letting him know he was being watched would make him stop. It didn’t. The girl ran a block and was almost at the ice cream shop before the senior realized that the clown thought he wasn’t going to do shit. The senior gunned it over the curb and into my school’s lawn and slammed the guy from the side. It was a Jeep Wrangler with a full off-roading set up that was clearly well used considering the mud all over the lower half of the truck. There wasn’t a dent on it. The girl bolted into the giant crowd of students at the ice cream shop already. It was still warm enough to be open and most students who didn’t have to go home right away hung out there. The clown got rolled hard into the giant evergreen tree in the school’s front lawn. We found out later that the kid got nothing more than a slap on the wrist for driving on the lawn and the the clown ended up in the hospital with a broken femur and couple of cracked ribs. The truck didn’t do much damage but the tree he slammed into did.

@@queeninlea They had to give him a citation for driving over a curb and a sidewalk (saftey hazard an that) because it was in the police report for the clown. The cops didn’t really care, but they had already gotten in trouble for letting a couple kids at the public school off for doing doughnuts in an abandoned mall’s parking lot. They mentioned the clown being hit by a vehicle in on the school’s front lawn. The only way to there was through the curb/sidewalk.
Plot twist: the freaky spazzing monster was the real mom and just wanted Sara back after the fake mom kidnapped her :)
