    I'm from Texas and I've been riding Sipapu for 16 years. It's crazy to see our little mountain getting some recognition. 👌🔥🔥

    Sipapu was a little gem! I worked as a ski and snowboard instructor there for a few years. Cheap tickets, no lift lines and good snow. A lot of the features were built by an older local cat. We even had a teeter totter that was a little sketch. A few of us would build kickers in the trees over some of the cat walks. Taos is epic in powder! Especially with the chair up Kachina Peak. We used to have to hike that. I've had some great times on the backside of Santa Fe too. It's a small walk then a decent traverse then you have to hitch a ride back up, but some of the most friendly people I know ride Santa Fe. I've been in fluffy waist deep powder more than a few times in Northern NM!

    Pretty sure I was at Taos this day and at Sipapu the day yall had the huge pow day at Taos. One of the funnest ski days of my life & landed my first 180 on skis in that side hit you hopped haha. Sipapu’s a killer little mountain with fresh snow! I was blown away, and since kids under 12 ski free its an amazing spot to take the little ones when theyre old enough!

      @@JohnathanBuckhouse I live 30 miles from wolf Creek now but ironically it costs less to travel 3 hours to sipapu for the day than 1 lift ticket at Wolf Creek... I went the first of February for the first time since I was 15 I'm now 34.... Just as perfect as when I was a kid racing the chair lift down the mountain. Thank you!

      @@trioproductions5403 not my cup of tea. To expensive... For example I just bought a ticket to ski purgatory. It cost approx 70 dollars... It's 85 on non peak at wolf creek. Also the lack of mountain upkeep is disturbing... They want to build a big base area and their runs are basically fictitious lines through the trees... No grooming, no access to their best area unless you like hiking... It's just not at all appealing to me... I grew up at sipapu but I've been a few places and wolf creek is the lowest on my list to go back... And that's after coof ruined sipapu and Loveland for me..... Masks outside... Smh

    Just a suggestion but Chris should narrow his stance a bit. Give him more stability on rails and revive the stress on his hips and quads on landing! Ikno it worked for me.

    • @Cody_Pulliam

      He wakeboards a lot so he’s just used to the wider stance

    • @darkDARKmusic
      @darkDARKmusic 2 роки тому

      Thanks! You’re probably right. I’ve widened it a lot from wakeboarding, and I do a ton of squats and leg work, but it looks VERY wide here. Going to bring it in some.
