Looks like great fun. Hope to participate in the BMW GS experience in 2 years time as "She who must be obeyed" said I could get my GS when I'm 65.Thanks for sharing your experience mate.

I haven't even test ridden one yet and I'm convinced enough to buy one.....LOL This was a great first hand review, from an existing GS owner, so thanks for doing that!

Thanks for the kind words Jim. They are certainly impressive versatile machines, with 40 years of evolution and fine tuning. Definitely go test ride one. 👍🍻

The blue and white Rally rider should take his key out of the gps locking device as if it comes out he will b up the creek with out a paddle , the key should stay in your pocket being a push start motor cycle

What’s better the Rallye X or GSA? And why? That’s the decision I have to make…😥

Hi Michael, without sounding like I'm sitting on the fence, it'll depend upon the type of riding you plan to do. Personally I would probably choose the GSA as it has a longer fuel range, and comes with the extra crash bars, larger screen and fog lights etc. But I did love the Rallye X due to it's lighter weight and better handling. They both felt very similar to ride until you went to throw it into a corner, then the extra weight of the GSA was apparent. I have done a couple of trips where I have had to carry extra fuel externally on my bike and sometimes wish for that extra range. Both would great commuters, but if the riding is more hard core dirt, and range is not an issue, go the Rallye X. Hope that helps. 🍻👍

@@nextmotoadv247 That's exactly the problem I am having...If I get the GS I will miss the fuel range and if I get the GSA I will forego the more nimble bike. But the reality is I am probably not going to do much more than a gazetted dirt road so the GSA is probably the better solution. Decisions, decisions...first world problems :)

@@lifelongmotorcycling sounds like GSA all the way! Still very capable. Just look at what the GS Safari instructors do with them. 👍
