Thanks for your review. Compared to the enve AG25, are they equivalent or better in terms of stifness, comfort, responsiveness, speed maintenance, etc ? Thanks
I have 3 sets on a gravel, road and TT bikes of different rim depths. Good quality wheels. The gravel set have over 10,000 miles and have been through the wringer with zero issues.
I received my farsports gravel wheelset about a week ago and absolutely love them (40mm deep/30mm wide). They have a great reputation and value for money in terms of weight and build quality.
Great review! I had not heard of this company, so really appreciate the insight! We’ve had a set of Light Bicycle wheels on my wife’s Warbird for 4 years and I’ve been running a set on my mountain bike for the same period. They are light, well built and I’ve never had to do anything but lube freehubs! LB is also a Chinese company. It’s great to have options like this!
Thanks for the review! How do you feel about these vs the Roval Terra CL if it was your money? Seem to be a similar spec, know you’ve ridden the CLX so wondering what your thoughts were in terms of ride quality. Thanks again!
Thanks JOM. To me it would be a plus not having to mess with rim tape. I had a flat once where a stick not only punctured the tire, but also damaged the rim tape.
Thanks Hans. I would love to know how they build these wheels, particularly getting those nipples inside the rim (I assume through the valve hole), and fished through to the spoke hole.
I believe there are nipple inserts and magnets with which you can guide the nipples to the spokeholes. Takes a bit longer to build a wheel or replace a spoke, but it's no biggie 😎
Looking forward to the rim brake wheelset review as my general outoodor use bike is 2010 CX bike sram 2x10 v brake build and looking for budget friendly wheelset to buy as I am only down to a alloy tubular wheelset for racing left. All the clinchers I had are worn out for safe use. Another wheel company to look and at compare my options.
I need to chop chop on that review, as it's been in my queue for way too long. All I will say is, it's been performing well for over a year, highly recommended. I suggest you visit the custom side of Farsports at wheelsfar.com (this Gravel wheelset was ordered here too). My rim brake wheelset features the Feder 40mm tubeless ready rim (the Classic Rim will save you some $ but more weight), DT240 Swiss Hubs, CX Ray Spokes. Superb build quality, still very true. I'll be ordering another set of these, or something similar soon. I have no plans to run disc brakes on the road any time in the future. In the meantime between my review appearing, I sincerely hope this helps!
@@GravelCyclist Thanks. CX bike can take up to 700x40-42 tires so it can triple up as my gravel bike as well. Not just CX and road. So wheelset has to do it all. 28mm tires is minimal due to many local bad old pavement/cement roads and regular mixed surface rides. Stuck looking at budget carbon wheels. These will be my first carbon wheels. As most alloy wheelsets are way more in cost, not close in rim width, same weight to heavier, or questionable durability for my uses.
I thought in the event I decided to ride higher pressure, narrower tubeless roadie tyres, that may be useful. I'm not sold on hookless for higher pressure applications.
I've heard a lot of good things about farsports. Someday, Chinese wheels will take over. Just not enough people know or care about them since everyone thinks chinese = junk
The problem is you never know what you’re getting, and unless you have a relationship with a supplier you could get random counterfeits. We have a lot of Chinese suppliers that are pretty good, and sometimes we get samples and they’re absolute bottom tier.

Did you need rim tape to seat these tyres on the Farsports rim?

So cool, mine is on the way. I heard good things as well.
@AX5324 how long did it take for your wheel set to be delivered?
@@arraizdc about 3-4 weeks with duty prepaid to EU.

Exciting to see very reasonably-priced lightweight carbon wheels. Definitely on my short list for my next set!
Did I miss an affiliate code to help JOM when making a purchase for these?
Hi Kristopher, no, but thanks for thinking of me! Unfortunately, no code at this time, but I sincerely hope you enjoy the wheels!
No spoke holes in the rim bed, nice!
I’ve had the older, deeper farsports model for about 18mths, they are still going well!
Nice!

This video is brought to you by LGC photobombing in the background.
What is the model of these wheels? I am looking for basically exactly what you have just brass nipples.
Here you go... wheelsfar.com/gravel-wheelset-built-with-dt-swiss-240-exp-sp-p0061.html
@Gravel Cyclist if you had $1000 to spend, are these the wheels you would buy?
Hard to go wrong with these wheels for that price.
Are they 6 bolt or center lock?

@@GravelCyclist Fellow Aussie UA-camr Oz Cycle has done a video on fishing nipples.

@@marcokalle2452 It takes the kind of patience that I don't have.
@@hansschotterradler3772 it was more a reply to mister @Gravel Cyclist himself, sorry for the misunderstanding

Nnnnooooiiiiiissssseeeeeeee
I like your background
Let me know if you want me to tension map the wheels for you.
I could see this being an addition to future wheel reviews, but would probably have to ply you with beers from the HS brewery as we record 😄
I'm sure something could be arranged:)
Hi, any particular reason choosing hooked over hookless?
I thought in the event I decided to ride higher pressure, narrower tubeless roadie tyres, that may be useful. I'm not sold on hookless for higher pressure applications.
@@GravelCyclist - If you happen to need to run a tube in an emergency, the hooked version is a lot safer choice as well.
Do you know of a rider wt limit?
Pretty sure the Wheelsfar.com website has that info somewhere.

I like the wheels but who’s the beauty?
That be my GF / The Lady Gravel Cyclist :) She began riding outdoors just five months ago, already has two gravel 100 mile rides completed!
Background??? What background….
As a 220lb + rider these probably are not strong enough?
Check the Wheelsfar.com website, I am certain rider weight limits are posted somewhere.
Their website claims 125kg (275 lbs)
275 is weight limit but get brass nipples. Heavier but stronger for a small weight penalty.
