So they say Trump broke one law and they charged him 34 times for the same violation. Hunter illegally bought a firearm and he said he had it for 11 days. Those 34 counts will be charged as one count in terms of the judge's verdict on punishment. In other words, Trump is not being given 34 different jail terms or probationary terms. Fox should have told you this, but then there wouldn't be so much anger and upset to keep people watching, which means fewer advertising dollars for billionaire Rupert Murdoch to pocket.
People should know that Trump was forced to shut down his charity, and fined $2 million, for stealing the donations for himself -- money that was supposed to go to kids with cancer. He was also forced to shut down his university and fined $25 million for fraud.
Trump is a former president and convicted rapist who's been found guilty of 34 counts relating to a porn star payoff and his 2016 election interference. Two more criminal trials are pending.

To answer your question about appointing a judge… those judges are SUPPOSED to receive cases like a lottery system. Merchan was not even on the list of available judges and yet was awarded this case. Representative Elise Stefanik is supposedly looking into this very suspicious anomaly.
