Theory: What if omen was used for an experiment for the kingdom to teleport to mirror earth? Hear me out here, his "shrouded step" ability allows him to teleport to different places within a short distance. His ult allows him to teleport to place within a large range. I feel like the smartest person in the world, although I shouldn't say that.
When omen tp's he doesn't travel to another dimension, so far the only agent that can do that is Yoru. Omen literally tears himself apart, literally erasing his soul momentarily which is probably why Skye "loses him" you cannot trace something that is split apart infinitely many times to the point that it sort of disappears from thin air.
Yep, he tells Yoru that "They are no match for you, rift walker. Not even close". Not "no match for us", just "you", possibly meaning he don't have the rift walking ability.

Rift Walker is just a title he uses when talking about him. I also dont believe we have any true canon way Omen is able to teleport, just theories. With the extra-dimensional theory it makes sense especially with his voice lines with sage, but we dont have any concrete evidence. Edit: if im wrong about the teleport and not knowing much about it its because i tried to look for where it said how he teleports and a few threads and never found anyone giving proof of how he teleports
Someone may have said this but Omen's hobby of kniting could also be a coping mechanism he has. He constantly tears himself apart like fabric so him kniting is a way of putting things together again for him.
A few more observations and theories: -Omen's smoke makes a geometric pattern when it spawns. The same pattern is seen on Reyna's chest when she's in her ult form. This implies that Omen's radiant is similar to Reyna's and may be a death type. -Three characters share nearsight blinds (Omen, Reyna and Skye). The other two are both life and death types, so this also implies that nearsighting is a power for spirit type radiants, if Omen really is one. -Given that we know Viper experimented on either Reyna or Reyna's little sister from the player card, it's possible that they had samples of a death type radiant (if her sister had the same radiant as reyna) that they could have used. The experiment that killed Omen was likely designed to turn him into a radiant through giving him whatever they got from Reyna's power, but it killed him and likely destroyed his main body (likely by disolving it into shadow since he's a shadow affinity). Without a main body to resurect, Sage's res failed but still conjured his spirit which posessed the robotics. -We know from his ult description that Omen accesses a shadow realm when he ults. We also know he realm warps because of his interactions with Yoru, where he can feel Yoru's soul chipping away from warping. -Since we see Omen's body in his player card, it's possible it still exists somewhere. If so, it's probably in the death and shadow realm he ults through and part of his spirit is still connected to the corpse, which is the "split" he mentions, and how he knows so much about the consiquence of riftwalking. He's not conscious of how he knows, but he can feel it

Maybe Omen's brother tried bringing back their mother with alchemy but the transmutation backfired, his brother losing his left LEG and Omen losing his body. So then maybe his brother had to sacrifice his right arm to retrieve Omen's soul and bound it in his armor that you see today.
They prolly wanted to name him fred but the community thought it was too cute for him sooo they scrapped it. They found some edgier name like jared or smth (the only explanation I can think of).
Not sure if I'm the only one, but hearing Omen say "how many times did I get ripped apart, how many times did I die" Makes me Hella sad, and even got a tear in my eye

Refering to Skye's voice line and the story of Omen, I think He teleports via dimension of death. So that's why Skye dont sense Him that moment bc She only sense life. Plus an other thing that He died so many times and traped between life and death, He walks thought them at will. That's My therory
I'm fairly new to the lore of Valorant, but hearing about this is interesting. Now that I know Omen is just a soul trapped inside of his armour, that almost explains why this undead being is able to die to bullets and explosions like every other agent on the protocol. Unlike, say, Reaper from Overwatch, Omen's soul is currently clinging to the armour he wears. If that armour is damaged, it makes sense that the soul could almost leak out? It's interesting to think about!

In theory, teleporting is, from your position, entering a pocket dimension that is like a shortcut dimension and exits a bit farther. Like if a metre in the dimension is 6 in the normal dimension
I thought it was just breaking down yourself on a molecular level and reassembling yourself at a different location. It would explain why Skye says she "loses" him: the agent that can sense life loses connection to someone when they teleport. Even Yoru says Omen's ability is different than his.

To add to your idea of Omen not being cool with Sage, when he gets revived I always assumed he was being angry at himself for “letting go” but upon inspection of his lore I think it’s anger towards Sage for bringing him back to his personal hell. “I let go for a SECOND.”

ALSO, sage was only able to revive part of omen, as her voiceline suggests "I was not strong enough before. but now, I am strong enough for us all" she might be referring to not being able to fully ressurect omen. Also, one of the interactions between viper and sage says this "S- Viper, have you thought about my offer? You dont have to. V- Never assume you can help me. You can't help me, you can't help them. This voiceline might imply that sage is offering to try and bring back omen fully, because now she is stronger. The "them" also implies that somebody else is involved, who is likely omen. I’ve heard somewhere that Omen rips his body/armour apart when to teleport using his soul, that’s why when he hasn’t fully teleported is just a ghost like thing.

A theory I heard from my friend that makes sense as well is that when omen teleports he splits his soul into two and destroys or reuses the other half which is why sky loses him because she is looking for the old copy

It's only repeated many times in game not in the actual lore, as why viper hate Sage is because back then Sage has not perfected her abilities back then hinting Sage revived omen successfully but not perfect like. Omen's name *was* Fred according to a omen interaction with Viper, but now in a new one, Viper says Ja-. We don't know his name could be but I'm guessing it's Jack To "keep himself" together, Omen wears a strong armour suit that holds his spirit in to prevent it from coming out. However, whenever he uses his ult, His suit seems to split apart, but appears on his body again. Viper did a experiment on Omen that made this creature In order to get back to human, Omen has to kill people to achieve that goal. Omen likes to use Dark Humor and just likes to talk creepy normally like this. ( The voicelines you have mentioned through out the video ) In Fracture, it might be possible that Fracture is Omen's original birthplace. ( Not where he was born, but where he was created ) Fun fact: Omen looks like a monster drink
Omen's original name is Fred. We know that because of Viper's line. They changed the line now and Viper says another name. Cant remember it tho. Look at the games's file
The line doesn't sound like "Ja" to me, I think it's actually "Jo." "Joe" is not pronounced like what VIper says, and neither is "Jack." It's the vowel sound in "awful," but also the sound in the name "John," or "Jonathan." Considering Viper's accent, I really don't think Omen's name starts with Ja-, as most Ja names like "Jason" or "Jack" sound like the a in "ack" or "hack," or the a vowel in "state"
sometimes he speaks to himself in 3rd person "I feel the strain, block it out Omen" which may suggest that he is connected with some entity from shadow realm, also he speaks to Sage "Everytime you give life... you ever wonder where it's taken from?" (or smth like that) which may mean everytime Sage revives someone she takes life from shadow realm (or she gives soul from the shadow realm to someone dead) which means something lives there and that's why Omen have his powers (as we know Omen's body got ripped apart so he is mainly the entity/soul from shadow realm and that's where his powers come from and that's why he has so little memory of his past life)
I wanted to add two things about omen's name. Viper's voicelines used to say Fred instead or Ja- a few acts back. I think it's been changed a few times too but I'm only 100% sure about the Fred voiceline. Before chamber was added, when all the maps had doxxing texts on all the agents presumably coming from chamber, omen's text started with a list of names. I don't have a screenshot so I'm writing out of memory but I think it went something like this: "Fred, Jason, Max, (list of other names). How many times did kingdom use you into so many different aliases?" If someone has a link on that event I would really appreciate if you could share it :D

I believe that when omen said that he remembered that Sabine (viper) used to use her experiments for healing, I think she someone used it for a less humane way. In order to save more money or to avoid more casualties, she experimented on omen, over and over again until he was on the brink of death. Then she would heal him and repeat the process, and each time he would lose more of his memory.But then one time it was too far and he died. So to save him she brought in sage to revive him. And so when he was brought back the many experiments he was tested on still makes him feel pain. So the reason why Sabine is so nice to him is not only cause she pities him, but also so he won’t discover what she truly did to him. That is why she won’t tell him his name. Also I think that when cypher withhold info about omen’s past, he actually worked with Sabine, and not for the massive price. Maybe him and Sabine are working together about a bigger picture. That is why viper doesn’t mine cypher calling her Doctor Sabine, and him invading her privacy.

I think there are two Omens in one. Like he has to minds for one body. There is the human part, the one knitting and trying to figure out what happened to him but doesn't mean any harm to his friends, and the one who absolutly hates everyone. When Sage was bringing him back, maybe something came with him. Voicelines such as "I feel the strain... Block it out, Omen" or "I am not just a shadow" come from the first one, and voicelines such as "don't die here, Sabine. I need your secrets". Also, I don't think Viper is such a bad person. She is a mad scientist, but also a brilliant one. She made crazy experiments with potentially devastating endings, but she also tries to make things right. Her ultimate goal is to save Omen as well as Reyna's sister, but she refuses Sage's help because she dislikes her methods and has so much pride she wants to fix it on her own. She probably doesn't want Omen to remember because she is scared of what the thing that inhabits his body might do if it ends up freeing itself from Omen.
Newest lore thepry, omen is octopus, refers to kraken +radianite+human(maybe) ; octopus gun buddy, his ghost skin, his flashes and smokes as ink, 8 tentacles as 8 way of point in compass which his ult can tp anywhere.
Another possible theory I would like to add is that Chamber has something to do with Omen's death/experiment, because we can see in Chamber's reveal trailer that Chamber was shooting Omen statues. We have never seen any interaction between Chamber and Omen but I believe Chamber could have a personal grudge against Omen and that is why he decided to kill him.
In the Die For You video, Sage interacts with an unknown man on a dying plant island thingy. Sage sees a wilting purple-ish flower, and tries healing it. She ultimately fails and gets stuck inside a crystal. During this, a man is seen holding the island up. Once Sage breaks free, the roles are reversed, and the man is seen looking up at a giant Sage. I believe that the island is meant to signify Omen, and the man is him before the accident. Sage failed to fully heal him, and now feels guilt. The man likely protected Sage, and after his death, Sage took that role. Makes sense to me.
I feel like Omen's backstory is he was one of the volunteer lab rats for viper in the hopes of curing his disease. Or it could just technically be when the radianite explosions happened and he was one of the victims. Somewhere along the lines viper must've promised him a cure and allowed her to do experiments on him but there wasn't much she could've done for him atm. In the end she mustve tried to use her poison gas on him, since according to cypher her poison doesnt only affect the person physically, but also psychologically. Unfortunately the gas might've just caused him an amnesia and further worsening his condition turnjng him into like some man made smoke instead of recuperating his cells and turning him back to human . He is in the state of being alive and dead at the same time. Which could be a nod to when he talks to sage about the morality of her abilities. The ability to bring someone back from the dead. And so he wonders if when everytime she uses that ability she actually takes a life in exchange. Thinking aboht it now would be cool if it was connnected to earth 2. I keep imagining a,moment between sage and omen where she sympathisizes with him for she also cannot explajn why he is the way he is but she gives him hope every now and then. I dont know im weird cause i ship it. Blame the halloweeen banner. I like omen alof cause no.1, he is purple. My favlrite color also, he's a person you actually wanna hug and protect. He forces himself to be tough and wants to see what happens to him till the very end and basicallg his need to become human is what drives him to fight. He's not a bad man obsessed with his power. Viper was probably not HIDING omen's name, viper probably called omen by his name a lot before but now since omen does not know his true name calling him by his name would be pointless cause he would not realize that it was him.
i imagine he was some sort of recluse after the incident of becoming the spirit is and when brim and viper started valorant he was the first person they thought of to join.
The way i see is there are TWO (2) main theories on omens origins: 1. The Good Omen (Most Likely i think) Basically what he does in his past life is something good like asissting with research at kingdom, lab tech dude, but was somehow in a bad condition (following a terrible event perhaps?) that viper had to experiment on him. ONE THING that is most likely true among both these theories is that before Omen became Omen, there were previous reiterations of him, explaining why he has multiple naes (Fade Docier) yet his original is named Jo… (maybe John or Jon). Perhaps these reiterations of him needed other souls (souls of real people with names that he takes on like an Omen v2 codename), or it was just simply Viper naming his versions randomly. 2. The Bad Omen This is basically where Omen also lived a life of secrecy, other names of him probably were the aliases or the disguises he took but only Viper knows his real name… Jon (probably), but this doesnt explain why he is experimented on, we didnt know the full scope of Vipers experiment but it wouldnt be a stretch to consider her maybe doing facial/body reconstructing surgery (explaining different names for different new faces) but somewhere along the lines she messed up, things went bad, he maybe ORDERED Viper to do it too much times. But this doesnt explain their sort of friendly banter, if Viper messed up Omen would hold grudges, if Omen messed up Viper would be half ashamed and also half i told you so omen. But this could all be vetoed if they had done the experiment countless of times on Omen where it just seems like another day at the office.
I have this mandela effect that omen literally is under the radianite metor when it hit our planet. He is the first one to have radiant powers. He is basically Dr. Manhattan. So the moment he remember his past, he will become extremely powerful lore wise.
I think it has something to do with the kingdom testing Sage's powers or testing something that Omen had by "tearing him appart", Sage would have to revive him again and again until it didn't work for some reason and he only got brought back to life partly. So maybe more of these experiments is what created miror earth? Also i might think the experiments had something to do with implanting radianite in "normal" people.
In the Golden moments, Omen turn, It says on the screen Gaining Shadow and "Reforming" So I think he unforms when he uses his ult and then reforms again. It's just a theory
What if Sage DID save Omen, but they were in a battle in Fracture and the explosion caused his soul to tear apart as he is being ressurected, the parts of Omen that were sucessfully resurrected was his body, but he wasn't "fully saved", there are still parts of him missing

i think the whole thing between viper/sage where sage asks about the deal and viper says she can’t help her and that she’s failed her has to do with omen maybe? maybe omen and viper were close and with whatever happened to omen sage could’ve kept him alive or healed him but she failed?

Most likely , out of all the realities of omen, the best form of himself was a spirit in an armour and not as a man so , sage pulled him from the second reality and switched with dead omen , thus he was only half alive as no realities had him fully alive
For me everytime omen rift apart, everytime he died. His memories also rift apart. Enable to remember himself he have to kill and absorb his other self that being rift and divided from him.
I know its a late reaction but i believe omens name is joh-n, i think sabine callas (viper) lead the experiment and omen died in radiation (since thats almost vipers full agentkit right now) and that being the reason sage couldnt ressurect his full soul and when he teleports maybe whats left of his soul gos away for a second to another realm to reduce his pain from feeling the fade away feeling again that he mustve felt when dying

Okay... Well... I am not arguing. Jus' take it as another theory. From the voice lines, I too discovered something's. Omen is in a state where he is neither dead nor alive. He lurks on the border. Everytime he uses his power, he rips himself apart and reforms himself. Even during his ultimate, there is a vulnerable period which is called "reforming" period. Viper is actually someone very close to him. That's why she doesn't like the idea of omen killing himself again and again for them("One more time"). Sage probably failed when reviving Omen (likely due to the high radionite levels in his body left after that experiment). That's why Viper says that "You can't help me, you can't help them" thingy to Sage and that Sage failed her...

I'm fairly new to the lore of Valorant, but hearing about this is interesting. Now that I know Omen is just a soul trapped inside of his armour, that almost explains why this undead being is able to die to bullets and explosions like every other agent on the protocol. Unlike, say, Reaper from Overwatch, Omen's soul is currently clinging to the armour he wears. If that armour is damaged, it makes sense that the soul could almost leak out? It's interesting to think about!

In theory, teleporting is, from your position, entering a pocket dimension that is like a shortcut dimension and exits a bit farther. Like if a metre in the dimension is 6 in the normal dimension

I thought it was just breaking down yourself on a molecular level and reassembling yourself at a different location. It would explain why Skye says she "loses" him: the agent that can sense life loses connection to someone when they teleport. Even Yoru says Omen's ability is different than his.

To add to your idea of Omen not being cool with Sage, when he gets revived I always assumed he was being angry at himself for “letting go” but upon inspection of his lore I think it’s anger towards Sage for bringing him back to his personal hell. “I let go for a SECOND.”
There was also another theory, that skye "loses him" when he teleports because he is literally everywhere, he has split himself so many times he is across the earth, and when he teleports, he kills himself in the process and lets the other "omen" at that spot take over. ALSO, sage was only able to revive part of omen, as her voiceline suggests "I was not strong enough before. but now, I am strong enough for us all" she might be referring to not being able to fully ressurect omen. Also, one of the interactions between viper and sage says this "S- Viper, have you thought about my offer? You dont have to. V- Never assume you can help me. You can't help me, you can't help them. This voiceline might imply that sage is offering to try and bring back omen fully, because now she is stronger. The "them" also implies that somebody else is involved, who is likely omen. Viper refuses even though sage could probably do it. Nice vid! omen=cool

A theory I heard from my friend that makes sense as well is that when omen teleports he splits his soul into two and destroys or reuses the other half which is why sky loses him because she is looking for the old copy

Omen's name *was* Fred according to a omen interaction with Viper, but now in a new one, Viper says Ja-. We don't know his name could be but I'm guessing it's Jack
To "keep himself" together, Omen wears a strong armour suit that holds his spirit in to prevent it from coming out. However, whenever he uses his ult, His suit seems to split apart, but appears on his body again.

The line doesn't sound like "Ja" to me, I think it's actually "Jo." "Joe" is not pronounced like what VIper says, and neither is "Jack." It's the vowel sound in "awful," but also the sound in the name "John," or "Jonathan." Considering Viper's accent, I really don't think Omen's name starts with Ja-, as most Ja names like "Jason" or "Jack" sound like the a in "ack" or "hack," or the a vowel in "state"

(or smth like that) which may mean everytime Sage revives someone she takes life from shadow realm (or she gives soul from the shadow realm to someone dead) which means something lives there and that's why Omen have his powers (as we know Omen's body got ripped apart so he is mainly the entity/soul from shadow realm and that's where his powers come from and that's why he has so little memory of his past life)

I wanted to add two things about omen's name.
Viper's voicelines used to say Fred instead or Ja- a few acts back. I think it's been changed a few times too but I'm only 100% sure about the Fred voiceline.
Before chamber was added, when all the maps had doxxing texts on all the agents presumably coming from chamber, omen's text started with a list of names. I don't have a screenshot so I'm writing out of memory but I think it went something like this:
"Fred, Jason, Max, (list of other names). How many times did kingdom use you into so many different aliases?"

I believe that when omen said that he remembered that Sabine (viper) used to use her experiments for healing, I think she someone used it for a less humane way. In order to save more money or to avoid more casualties, she experimented on omen, over and over again until he was on the brink of death. Then she would heal him and repeat the process, and each time he would lose more of his memory.But then one time it was too far and he died. So to save him she brought in sage to revive him. And so when he was brought back the many experiments he was tested on still makes him feel pain. So the reason why Sabine is so nice to him is not only cause she pities him, but also so he won’t discover what she truly did to him. That is why she won’t tell him his name. Also I think that when cypher withhold info about omen’s past, he actually worked with Sabine, and not for the massive price. Maybe him and Sabine are working together about a bigger picture. That is why viper doesn’t mine cypher calling her Doctor Sabine, and him invading her privacy.

I think there are two Omens in one. Like he has to minds for one body. There is the human part, the one knitting and trying to figure out what happened to him but doesn't mean any harm to his friends, and the one who absolutly hates everyone. When Sage was bringing him back, maybe something came with him.
Voicelines such as "I feel the strain... Block it out, Omen" or "I am not just a shadow" come from the first one, and voicelines such as "don't die here, Sabine. I need your secrets".
Also, I don't think Viper is such a bad person. She is a mad scientist, but also a brilliant one. She made crazy experiments with potentially devastating endings, but she also tries to make things right. Her ultimate goal is to save Omen as well as Reyna's sister, but she refuses Sage's help because she dislikes her methods and has so much pride she wants to fix it on her own. She probably doesn't want Omen to remember because she is scared of what the thing that inhabits his body might do if it ends up freeing itself from Omen.

Newest lore thepry, omen is octopus, refers to kraken +radianite+human(maybe) ; octopus gun buddy, his ghost skin, his flashes and smokes as ink, 8 tentacles as 8 way of point in compass which his ult can tp anywhere.

Another possible theory I would like to add is that Chamber has something to do with Omen's death/experiment, because we can see in Chamber's reveal trailer that Chamber was shooting Omen statues. We have never seen any interaction between Chamber and Omen but I believe Chamber could have a personal grudge against Omen and that is why he decided to kill him.

In the Die For You video, Sage interacts with an unknown man on a dying plant island thingy. Sage sees a wilting purple-ish flower, and tries healing it. She ultimately fails and gets stuck inside a crystal. During this, a man is seen holding the island up. Once Sage breaks free, the roles are reversed, and the man is seen looking up at a giant Sage. I believe that the island is meant to signify Omen, and the man is him before the accident. Sage failed to fully heal him, and now feels guilt. The man likely protected Sage, and after his death, Sage took that role. Makes sense to me.
What if omen is unable to die. He "kills" himself when he teleports, only to be reborn in a new place, losing his previous memory. Just a guess lol

I feel like Omen's backstory is he was one of the volunteer lab rats for viper in the hopes of curing his disease. Or it could just technically be when the radianite explosions happened and he was one of the victims. Somewhere along the lines viper must've promised him a cure and allowed her to do experiments on him but there wasn't much she could've done for him atm. In the end she mustve tried to use her poison gas on him, since according to cypher her poison doesnt only affect the person physically, but also psychologically. Unfortunately the gas might've just caused him an amnesia and further worsening his condition turnjng him into like some man made smoke instead of recuperating his cells and turning him back to human . He is in the state of being alive and dead at the same time. Which could be a nod to when he talks to sage about the morality of her abilities. The ability to bring someone back from the dead. And so he wonders if when everytime she uses that ability she actually takes a life in exchange. Thinking aboht it now would be cool if it was connnected to earth 2. I keep imagining a,moment between sage and omen where she sympathisizes with him for she also cannot explajn why he is the way he is but she gives him hope every now and then. I dont know im weird cause i ship it. Blame the halloweeen banner.
I like omen alof cause no.1, he is purple. My favlrite color also, he's a person you actually wanna hug and protect. He forces himself to be tough and wants to see what happens to him till the very end and basicallg his need to become human is what drives him to fight. He's not a bad man obsessed with his power. Viper was probably not HIDING omen's name, viper probably called omen by his name a lot before but now since omen does not know his true name calling him by his name would be pointless cause he would not realize that it was him.
i imagine he was some sort of recluse after the incident of becoming the spirit is and when brim and viper started valorant he was the first person they thought of to join.
The way i see is there are TWO (2) main theories on omens origins:
1. The Good Omen (Most Likely i think)
Basically what he does in his past life is something good like asissting with research at kingdom, lab tech dude, but was somehow in a bad condition (following a terrible event perhaps?) that viper had to experiment on him. ONE THING that is most likely true among both these theories is that before Omen became Omen, there were previous reiterations of him, explaining why he has multiple naes (Fade Docier) yet his original is named Jo… (maybe John or Jon). Perhaps these reiterations of him needed other souls (souls of real people with names that he takes on like an Omen v2 codename), or it was just simply Viper naming his versions randomly.
2. The Bad Omen
This is basically where Omen also lived a life of secrecy, other names of him probably were the aliases or the disguises he took but only Viper knows his real name… Jon (probably), but this doesnt explain why he is experimented on, we didnt know the full scope of Vipers experiment but it wouldnt be a stretch to consider her maybe doing facial/body reconstructing surgery (explaining different names for different new faces) but somewhere along the lines she messed up, things went bad, he maybe ORDERED Viper to do it too much times. But this doesnt explain their sort of friendly banter, if Viper messed up Omen would hold grudges, if Omen messed up Viper would be half ashamed and also half i told you so omen. But this could all be vetoed if they had done the experiment countless of times on Omen where it just seems like another day at the office.
I have this mandela effect that omen literally is under the radianite metor when it hit our planet. He is the first one to have radiant powers. He is basically Dr. Manhattan. So the moment he remember his past, he will become extremely powerful lore wise.

I think it has something to do with the kingdom testing Sage's powers or testing something that Omen had by "tearing him appart", Sage would have to revive him again and again until it didn't work for some reason and he only got brought back to life partly. So maybe more of these experiments is what created miror earth? Also i might think the experiments had something to do with implanting radianite in "normal" people.

In the Golden moments, Omen turn, It says on the screen Gaining Shadow and "Reforming" So I think he unforms when he uses his ult and then reforms again. It's just a theory
What if Sage DID save Omen, but they were in a battle in Fracture and the explosion caused his soul to tear apart as he is being ressurected, the parts of Omen that were sucessfully resurrected was his body, but he wasn't "fully saved", there are still parts of him missing

Most likely , out of all the realities of omen, the best form of himself was a spirit in an armour and not as a man so , sage pulled him from the second reality and switched with dead omen , thus he was only half alive as no realities had him fully alive
For me everytime omen rift apart, everytime he died. His memories also rift apart. Enable to remember himself he have to kill and absorb his other self that being rift and divided from him.
I know its a late reaction but i believe omens name is joh-n, i think sabine callas (viper) lead the experiment and omen died in radiation (since thats almost vipers full agentkit right now) and that being the reason sage couldnt ressurect his full soul and when he teleports maybe whats left of his soul gos away for a second to another realm to reduce his pain from feeling the fade away feeling again that he mustve felt when dying

Okay... Well... I am not arguing. Jus' take it as another theory. From the voice lines, I too discovered something's. Omen is in a state where he is neither dead nor alive. He lurks on the border. Everytime he uses his power, he rips himself apart and reforms himself. Even during his ultimate, there is a vulnerable period which is called "reforming" period. Viper is actually someone very close to him. That's why she doesn't like the idea of omen killing himself again and again for them("One more time"). Sage probably failed when reviving Omen (likely due to the high radionite levels in his body left after that experiment). That's why Viper says that "You can't help me, you can't help them" thingy to Sage and that Sage failed her...
