So what the ML fall in love with the FL's singing voice 1st without knowing how she looks like but he was married to her and he should respect his wife as a woman and as a human. Doesn't mean she is fat and she doesn't deserve to be respect. As in Kingsmen movie says "manner maketh man" so he is not a man when he doesn't treat his wife right. FL should just record her singing voice and let him sleep with the recording, there's no need for reconciliation and back with him in person. Just because she slimmed down and became prettier, he loves her. That's love is cheap.

Watching this was hard because throughout the ML claims he loves Buckwheat but doesn't SEE her even though they're married. He only notices her once she became thin. In anger, he called her a fat and ugly pig. Those were his real feelings. Then she loses weight and he sees her. No!! If you know a person's heart, you will see it regardless and he didn't. He believed a thin, pretty woman over his thicc wife who has been by his side all along. Why does he get redemption in the end?? Let her put on weight again, then see if he loves his wife thicc as equally as he loves the thin, beautiful wife. It's also crappy that they fat suit the FL and have this BS redemption story where she's pathetic when she carried weight but amazing once she lost weight. She was a talented musician the entire time, but it was only after she lost weight that people paid attention. I like both leads, they're very good actors and have done well in other stories, but the fat-phobia in this one was just BS. On the positive side...dad was her ride or die and mom recognized her after years of not seeing her because both parents lived her unconditionally and knew her heart...so for great parents, I'll score this a little higher than I would if the parents were also toxic...8/10

I'm enjoying this. Have to get past the first couple minutes in though - people are insulting his wife in front of him and he says nothing...? He's cuddling with another woman planning his divorce from FL? I wish he had more scenes with the FL. Most of this is verbal attacks from SFL with ML just standing by, with occasional moments of him thinking something is not quite right. I love the scene where everyone (and the ML) get to see the truth. He gets a dose of reality showing his own actions/behaviours. And he really has to work for forgiveness. I really like the FL's family. And the ending is cute.
