Never played this game as a kid. Have zero nostalgia for it, but I gotta say... This is some epic and chill-inducing fight music. It's so sweeping and heroic. Feels like a call to arms or something. Like a musical rallying cry. I can see why these games are so special to so many people.

this is freaking excellent. nubuo uematsu is absolutely genius. the drama, the strife, the anguish, the struggle, there's so much emotion and it's all present, right now. it's not distant, far off somewhere. it's all coming to this. 0:59 is my favorite part. he takes us up, up, up, and we're let down. then we're taken up again, and up again, and up again - and we're let down again! like every time we get a glimpse of hope it's just taken away. and at the same time the bass notes have completely slowed down, as if every step is more painful than the last, as if you're carrying the weight of the world. it's not just a battle. it's everything you've ever loved in your entire life on the line. it's avenging zack and aeris. it's protecting marlene's innocence. it's maintaining your honor. it's redeeming your past. and it's saving the entire world from the brink of catastrophe.

I play piano, and only started trombone a few years ago. The saddest part is that trombone is hard for me for ONE REASON ONLY...my hands are not long enough.

The first Giant went down after the one healer was targeted, giant taken down by the King. The second went down to a five way combination attack. Between the King of the country they were in, The King of the Neighboring country, the King's brother, A Ranger, and the descendant of The first Archmage of the whole continent.
I am a piano novice and just started playing 2 weeks ago. This takes me back to my Play Station days, but it’s hard to imagine this piece even being possible to be played by a human. LOL I have a long way to go!
Best arrangement for this piece, I prefert this to the piano collections ver, it's more true to the original! Now we need an equally good arrangement of the the FF7 Boss Battle! :D
