Wouldn't that just remove the element of mystery in the original MV? The original MV shows what happened immediately after the blackout but now during it. The duration in the blackout is the mystery.
You know what i noticed? Italy found a note from the phantom thief A seemingly notorious thief that commits the perfect crimes, The note in which says that he or she will steal the diamond of happiness tonight. And Italy being Italy does not take this note to the police or even shows it to anyone else.
I think everyone played a part in the crime. here is the reason for each person, and or the part they played. The journalist: he helped because he wanted to get a spot on the front page, and with the stolen Dimond and him getting a photo will get him that place. I don't understand what part he played, however. the police officer: They said the gun wasn't on the baggage check, and the officer would probably be armed with a gun. I think his motive might have been striking a deal with the mafia, and his benifit was keeping the crime rate lower. so he brought the mafia onto the ship with him. the actress: I think she was there to create one of the many distractions, as I think she dropped her wiskey on purpose. she was acting like she was very surprised, which as a actress she is very good at. she might have wanted a share of the riches of the Dimond, and she could act out what happened onstage, possibly giving her a huge boost in popularity. the politican: He spilled his wine, which I don't think he got shot because if the bullet broke the window it would be out at sea. I think the doctor drugged him, knocking him unconscious, causing another distraction. I belive he could have been a attorney, and defending or prostacuting such a serious case could greatly add to his reputation if he gets the right verdict. the waitress: I belive she was there to help aid the distraction of the politician, as she was looking fearful while the doctor was operating. I am not sure about the waitresses motive, so I would love to hear your ideas about what you think! the magician: He didn't use the doves in his magic trick, so they where most likely another distraction. his show might have also helped people not notice the time getting pressed, aiding the grand plan. I think he might have done this to get the funds to expand his show, earning him much more money and succes. the mechanic: He was the one who shut off the lights, and he was prepared because he already had the report filled out so quickly. The lights where turned off for 2 reasons. for everyone to get the signal to do what they needed, such as the distractions. Also, for the dimond to get stolen without the gaurds see who the culptit is. I'm also not too sure what his motive was, however. the mafia: He was there to distract others and act as a red herring. the officer was keeping the mafia under control, so people thought they where safe. this made the distractions cause even more panic and chaos. I belive he wanted a share of the cash as well, and he also struck a deal with the officer, the officer promising him a cleared name. the doctor: he knocked out the politician with the medicine. and with the gunshot people thought the politician died, causing even more panic to distract everyone. I think because he knew people where going to think the politician died, and by reviving him he will get many more publicity. the aucioneer: I think he was the one who invited everyone to the ship to commenced the grand master plan. he got a group of people to work in sync, which explains why he "forgot something" and why the time was being pressed. I belive he wanted to be able to steal the Dimond, and with all the chaos and panic the distractions caused, the crime was possible. it wouldn't be under any other circumstances. I think that the whiskey on the rocks was important because you know what would show up really obviously in a glass of wine or champagne but not among the ice in whiskey? A diamond. Also, it would be easy to disguise among the shards of glass that the waitress conveniently cleans up, where in she bangs into he Magician who just so happened to release birds right after, which q assume he transfered the diamond to them and they were homing doves or smth
So like 50%of the comments say it was France but in my opinion it was either Canada, Russia, England or Prussia. Canada is essentially France's son or brother or whatever, right?so the fact that it looks like France would make sense. And he would have much more motivation than any other character. England has a huge opportunity to bring a gun with him past the clothes check in his hat and being the magician he would have an excuse for a top hat, and if you look closely you can see that he put his hat back on after the lights came back on. Not to mention the same attire. Prussia, the doctor, was taking care of the politician, who fainted, after looking after the patient he would be able to see if he was actually shot or not but he didn't say anything even though the bullet was found with no blood on it. He could have easily knocked the wine glass into the politician to make it look like he was shot( the wine would look like blood and the glass would look like it was Broken through the shot) and as it said the politician fainted, he could have been knocked out by the "medicine" Prussia gave him. It could have also been Russia, the politician, since he could have done the wine glass trick himself, and the doctor looking after him could have been an accomplice or simply flustered by the whole ordeal, because he never pointed out that there was no wound. And even if the doctor noticed that there was no wound, he could simply say he was surprised by the gunshot so he wouldn't be suspected because of that. He could also have been faking the fainting in order to get a chance to get the diamond while everyone else thought he was unconscious and unable to move. Or the whole video could pull a 360 on us and it could have been Japan, who wanted to pretend the diamond was stolen to get the insurance money ( the diamond could have even been fake From the beginning). He could have been the one who sent the letter to the reporter to get someone from the media to record the ordeal live, easily taken the diamond out of the box and thrown it out the window creating the hole in the glass. I still don't get why this person changed the name to phantom thief " U " or if it even has anything to do with the thief but if I get any more ideas for this ill post a reply with my new opinion.
