I was a working mom/wife with three kids. I had the same live in nanny for ten years. She was amazing. She was a retired teacher. In my opinion, younger nannies are not reliable. Your new nanny being four hours late is a red flag.
When i was raising my kids some 25+ years, I had an older nanny. Past child bearing age, she was in her 50s, went to secondary school, so she could read. Her kids were in school, she was tired of her husbands BS😂😂, (i had to bribe him on a few occasions with provision hamper 😂😂) she needed to work for her sanity and was still agile to do the work. I made her my assistant and house manager, she reported to me directly. So she supervised the younger one who was in her 20s. It worked very well for me. We are still very much in touch today. You may want to try that route. Best of luck. Oh i just remembered. A friend of mine who had her babies much later in life has a live-in nanny, she however pays the nanny's kids school fees, outside of the nanny's salary. Soooo, both the nanny and hubby know they cant mess up because of that blessing. Expensive, but the peace of mind she says is.....premium.
I want an event like that. For mothers - lots of food, talk and real issues, prayers, advice, music and dance, gift sharing, self care and love, fun and laughter. A whole package.
Hi Sisi Yemmie. I can totally relate with you and all this nanny wahala. I also have twin boys and another boy and it was really difficult getting a nanny as a mother/worker with three boys. I have been through almost ten nannies in the last 2 years and i dont even know how... its not easy being a mother of multiples without much help. But i am sure you'll figure it out. Much love from Ghana❤
Sisi Yemmie, we feel you 'jare'. All mothers can understand what you are going through. My encouragement to you and all mothers in the house is that MOTHERHOOD is in phases. I have 3 boys they are 15, 12 and 3. I reflect and I could have done some things better. ie enjoy the time my boys were babies and toddlers better .There was a time I was a stay at- home Mom and I literally didn't go out for events or parties. I also had several nannies. Now I'm learning to enjoy the moment and every time I spend with the boys because my husband always reminds me that soon the boys will be gone so the memories I create for us all is what we will remember. So Sisi pls relax, be encouraged, take all the help you can get and live. The joy of the Lord is your strength.
I’m sorry to hear of your troubles, Sisi! I’m Kenyan, work full time and gave birth in Nigeria and God blessed me with the best nanny everrrrrrrrr! Was diligent, worked hard and went above and beyond for us, was always on time and always showed up even when she didn’t need to like on weekends. She’s a mother herself, so I knew she would know what to do with my child, and I was confident she was always safe and well taken care of with her. The only reason we parted because I was relocating and I always pray that if anyone needs a nanny (with Creche experience) and has a heart to treat her like part of the family, may she find her!
Reading is one of the best things you can instill into your kids! With a book you are never alone and it opens up an enormous adventure for you! 👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽
I understand you very much in regards to the nanny issues. It is probably best that you find older single women. Sometimes, they are more reliable and tend to show u for work without too many excuses. I live in the U. S. and we strongly depend on grandma from back home. When they come they keep baby for us to work. Separatly have a young girl who is a babysitter for date nights and small outings.
My present nanny has been with me for over 7yrs and when she first started with me the medical test said she was pregnant , but she insisted she wasn't. Turned out she wasn't. I went back to the lab to see the head of lab and he explained that the blood pregannacy tests looks out fora particular hormone and it could be found in someone who miscarried and didn't know or was breastfeeding. This same lady eventually got pregnant more recently and I let her go for about 9mths , she resumed when the child was 6mths .
I have a baby boy and I most say it is not easy😩😩… Glad I have a crèche that hold him till 6pm for me to get back from work But weekends and events is on me I go everywhere with my boy 🤗
Its there is too much pregnancy around me😂😂😂. The kids fest event was beautiful to watch too. 16:43 awwww❤❤❤the twins smiling at us got my ovary shaking💃💃💃
A lot of working Moms don’t have the option of taking their kids to work because most jobs or businesses are not designed for children, so it is understandable that you struggle with this. You may want to get 3 nannies so that you always have “back up”. It is only for this season and once the twins start school you can go back to 2. Basically, things have to be adjusted to enable you also focus on your career (since you’ve stated you don’t want to slow down in this regard ). You are doing amazing and in no time this season will pass. Well done Mama!
You are not alone. being a mother is not a child's play, you can get a nanny with grown children already, say above 45yrs. As to how we de cope?😅 I can't count how many times I have changed jobs to focus on the children/family...navigating a career path can be restrictive without additional help apart from the other spouse, especially those of us in diaspora. I had to cultivate the habit of making weekly food timetables, loading the freezer with cooked meals, laundry twice a month, grocery shopping once a month, anything wey finish don finish be that. I dont even know what's "me time" anymore this days😂
Get an empty nester...I know one. You just need to treat her very nicely and pay her well. She's a successful mother of young adult children, lover of young children and a super Christian woman. That's the kind of a person you need Sisi yemmie...well done o. The Lord is your strength.
You’ve a beautiful family. You should try and limit too much food intake. Tiara seems to have a belly and she’s pudgy. So many illness is attached to over eating. They can eat but you’ve to feed them healthy food and more activity. I was pudgy growing up. Trust me I know of which I speak.
@zenahj5526 please stop. She is just a child and will grow out of it Don't use your experience as evidence of what should be or would be for others' kids
Omo I'm currently in these shoes. I have a set of twins too and it's not funny. The last single nanny I had also got pregnant. My mum eventually helped with a small girl but omo she's adding to my stress. It's not funny at all
Can we take out time to appreciate how beautiful Sisiyemmie looks in this vlog? 😍

What exactly is a Super Christian? That sounds like someone that should be a nun, not a nanny.
She's God fearing, responsible and has intergrity.

Pls where is this place located, the meat pie looks yummy
Yes.. please do a video on your nanny experience!!!😅
