He is fighting cancer/anemia please pray for him that he is pain free and for our Lord to take him when is time we don’t want to make the hard decision. ( If we have to we are going to do it because we don’t want our baby to suffer) but preferably that our Lord Jesus Christ makes the call. At the moment he is taking Prednisone and holistic meds. I've worshipped at Lakewood when I visited, I have met and spoken to Joel, and I have heard 100+ of his sermons. I believe he is an imperfect person (like all of us) who does his best to spread hope, faith, and encouragement. We are blessed to have him alive today and speaking hope into our hearts. May God bless him, his family, and his ministry.
BTW, I have never seen as much socio-economic diversity in a large congregation as I have at Lakewood. That speaks volumes!
I could never quite get into the rhythm of trusting God in everything until I began listening to Joel. Through his sermons, I am growing into a whole new way of life. Looking back I now saee ways I was trying to control life which I had been completely unaware of. Seeing clearly that the idea of "doing it without God" is a complete illusion, I have been blessed with a huge increase in peace, and reduction in anxiety and worry. I am a believer of God ever since I was a child but through the years, I have continued to suffer different kinds of pain and for quite some time, I was doing my own thing. Though I know that God was always there, I kept on doing things that were not right. Until I get tired from it all, I felt the pain of being all alone and then I realized, God is just waiting for me. So, I started watching Joel Osteen on TV and I felt God's love thru his words and I became more and more eager to listen thru podcasts and on this channel. Joel and his family are God's angels sent to all of us to help us get through it. May you live a long life, you and your loved ones so that God's words will continue to touch the world's heart. Have you noticed the narrator voice in your mind telling you each word, line, paragraph, and chapter that you're reading? Next time you read anything, listen for your narrator. It's pretty cool. God came to me in the middle of the night, in a dream, and said, "Be still and know I am God." I have been in civil court with an evil neighbor for the past 4 years. I need to hear these words today as I have been facing an illness that has no cure per the doctors. Between the pain, stress, searching for answers and up ending my life, I have to keep reminding myself of Gods promises, or I sink.
