I've been using bountiful Earth. Humate from IFA spring and fall with great results. Similar product to what is used in this video.

Great video, How many square feet does the 50 lb bag of soil conditioner cover? Can you put as much down as you like? Thanks, Tom

package says 15-25# per 1000sqft

You can go as heavy as you want. I typically go 10lb/1000, personally.

In Davis County our water is now off. Do we have to water in (rain) the soil conditioner?

It needs water to break down, yes. So timing it around rain would be beneficial. There is no risk of it burning the lawn.
