    I spent days preparing samples for photomicrograph samples and didn’t have the result you got. Beautiful.

    Nice work, and I would have loved to see how you detach the dial from the brass rod.

      thanks! Previously I do heat fixture till superglue softened and detach dial with thin knife, but recently just using thin knife and cut under dial but carefully to not to band it. also stopped using acetone to clean dial after detach -just clean with knife and metal brush. Please refer to my other videos for more info.

    It's very hard for me to find a watch I like, I'm very into very beautiful dials. I LOVE THIS DIAL. It's so so so pretty. I'm looking now into making my own dial and the hardest part is coming up with an idea that I would like if I saw it in a store shelf. Good job man.

    Great work! Hand made leather strap too I think? Maybe consider using a piece of straight wood clamped to the desk to hold the wet or dry sandpaper in place. You can use the edge of the wood to keep the grain parallel. I think a very good result, I would be proud of that work and making a video too! It's not easy. Well done!

      thanks a lot for your comment! For sandpaper, I have to use very flat surface and more water will solve issue, but thanks for your idea! Ya....it is hand made strap :)))

    That is amazing work. Have you considered using a Fiber Laser instead of the CNC machine? Is there an advantage to the CNC that the Fiber Laser can't match?

    • @watchmakeratelier
      @watchmakeratelier 10 місяців тому +1

      Thanks🙏 yes I did, and I do believe it will do great a good job but with great difference. Here is why i use CNC : Laser can not make sharp enough ages of the cut (close to bright cut). It is difficult to control depth of cut precisely. Not to mention, facing, drilling, profiling....
      But again, there is great work done by others using laser.

      this is water soluble cutting oil. I have mist spray, but it is way too much for this work and don't have to run compressor :)
