Thats how man settle things. They take it on the chin and dont rat out anyone, kudos to House for taking it like a Man and to Chase for being man enough to apologize.
House respected and appreciated people who challenged, and stood up to him. He liked people who didn't just comply to social norms and were more brutally honest.
@@LyraniaLothar Good point. I think it is cause House felt his motives were unjust. So I agree that it was abuse of power since the cop could have been going after what House felt were real criminals.
U know in season 3 When House punched Chase, Cuddy didn’t even pretend to care. Cuddy let House get away with Murder. I don’t know why none of the team ever pointed that out.
Kudos to House for not ratting on Chase. He probably knew it was payback for punching Chase in an earlier incident. In the end, they resolved their differences like real men!
however nearly the entire series is hinted that Foreman is basically like House and who would probably suceed him... but in the end all the sudden Chase becames House.... its very clear in season 8 how Chase more and more diagnoses like House and its the leading medic ...and it was the only who when House was missing stoped worrying about finding House and began to look solutions by himself ..alone if he needed to..
It's not really that way..It's true Foreman was said to be like House, but Foreman himself didn't want to become like House..That's why he left in the first place.. Foreman always wanted some kind of proof to do things(not like House),while Chase always seemed like the gut type of diagnostician. That's why he became deen of medicine. Further proof..Chase wanted the job with House even when Cameron left..Chase stopped practicing medicine after House got arrested..When asked why he said something along the lines"I had faith.I knew that once he's out of prison i'll have my job back" My opinion.
This^. Chase is literally the younger version of House and, essentially, the show's way of showing us through Chase how House became who he is. Chase through the first 3 season was the best diagnostician on House's team, coming up with right diagnoses and brilliant ideas to treat or test patients more than Cameron and Foreman together. And, really, the only thing Foreman and House had in common was that Foreman was a selfish jerk - yet he still was a different kind of selfish, as he was more focused on his career, while House was focused on solving puzzles - same as Chase. If anything, all those talks about "Foreman becoming House" were to either a decoy of Chase-House transformation or just to specifically show the audience how different Foreman and Hose are.
I think the reason Foreman turned from heir apparent to Cuddy 2 was because he suffered some brain damage with that disease that forced him to re-learn things. Also, Foreman didn't want to become like House. Chase turned out not to have a problem with that.
Someone would say eye for an eye. In season 3, House punched Chase who managed to figure out an diagnostic illness for a very young patient whilst he was trying to leave the hospital after having given up due to the stress trigger from an annoyed detective.
+Jesse 89 (Spoiler alert). When Chase killed the dictator, House covered him and Chase said something like "You will always be the boss". Last season, when someone told him that he abandoned medicine when House was in jail, he said "I had faith (that House would return)". Chase was never the person who would object to House's practices. On a number of occassions he was Greg's companion, on speeddate night, Bowling night, or on fixing bets with House on who will get fired. Chase enjoyed being next to House more than anyone ever in the series, although Foreman was considered to be the most "corrupted" by House's set of work. Also Chase was the only person who never quitted. He was fired, because "he learned everything he could next to House"..
House didn't ever go hard on Chase. He saw him growing a great medicine doctor and brilliant diagnost. Foreman always wanted to be House's heir, but Chase was a way more similar with House.
This scene rates right up there with the time they argued in front of Stacy. Cuddy asked House if he was being intentionally dense. He answered with an exaggerated “HUH???” Lol
Since they already where close to loosing him to Tritter, and they were the reason he even was on withdrawel, I'm pretty sure they decided not to press charges against him, including Chase himself.
He didn`t want to get rid of the original 3, but Foreman wanted to leave (and did leave) and because he didn`t want Foreman to go, he fired Chase. Because he fired Chase, Cameron disliked that and quit.
I believe he was chosen for the Lieutenant firefighter role because he played a character that had the guts to stand up to a tough boss as a Dr. House. But, It’s always wrong to hit, punch or disrespect your boss in anyway.
Yeah, I´m with her for that one. "We cant have doctors punching each other out", still... House. He rathers clearing you from a deeply "shit" than to admit he was involved in that shit.
I remember the episode where a girl was basically allergic to sunlight. House thought she had a flesh eating disease (or something like that) and Chase said that she had another condition.
"Oh my god who got punched?" That is one of the funniest lines. Hugh's delivery is perfect!!
Yep.
that's because he was a successful comedian!
typical house respecting anyone who stands up to him xD

House.
Chase: punches house in the face to get people to leave him alone
House: smiles faintly

Even now, this is a favourite episode for me. Using Taub as a human shield and the simple line
“I can outrun you”
"I can outrun you"....
It's actually kind of cute seeing him trying haha
Made me think about house running away from cameron

just so many different levels of expression saying the same thing XD
The fact that he got shot before puts this really into perspective 😂

Yep.
Niklas Nordbäck So what if people saw Chase punch House? Back in season 3 the entire first floor staff saw House punch Chase.
Its implied by Cuddy that all three doctors present reported Chase. Therefore having a normal reaction.
"I was mowing the lawn when the phone rang" is as classic as "My dog ate my homework" 😜
Chase is the only person on the series that worshiped House from the beginning to the end.

House punches Chase:

Chase punches House:

Since they already where close to loosing him to Tritter, and they were the reason he even was on withdrawel, I'm pretty sure they decided not to press charges against him, including Chase himself.
So what was the point of getting rid of the original 3, have house try and find 3 new people to work under him, just to have the original 3 come back?

Cuddy: I can't have doctor's punching each other
