I would've been hyped to explore hyrule castle reconstructed in botw2 but i guess we'll just have it in the air this time lol
It's set immediately after botw1, I don't think we'll see Hyrule already reconstructed, but I hope the same nonetheless
It’d be cool if after the game they reconstructed Hyrule castle, so you’d actually have something new after finishing the game... unlike botw1 where you are left with a little star next to your save file and nothing changed on your gameplay/map😐
Could happen if Link goes back in time.
@@Manuelx98. who said it’s immediately after botw ?
@@renovisionmtl5005 Just my guess. In the 2021 trailer the castle is still in ruins before it rises to the sky, it shouldn't be much after the events of botw
Hearing the Hyrule castle theme in a major key was so sick
Wasn't it just? I hadn't heard this arrangement before, but I took to it instantly and now have listened to it many times.
It really fits great!
I would like to know where to find this track tho, was it originally created by banan039, fan made or is it an og OST track?
I turned off the audio. Lunch had already ejected back up from my stomach.
Were those notes from Super Mario Bros 3/Super Mario RPG thrown in?
I love how the music in the background is just an upbeat version of the Hyrule Castle theme lmao
More like a major version. :D
I also love it.
@@sebastiankroneder2774 Kinda sounds like it could've been a concept for the King's theme
it's weird bc hyrule castle theme has always been upbeat. then botw gave it a melancholic twist. but now hearing a perfect inverse of that sounds really strange to me... it doesn't feel upbeat anymore. it just feels kinda drawn out, sort of like a twilight princess heavy orchestral rendition but slower or something idk
Listen to it at 1.5x speed! I could see a Zelda world band playing this while marching etc
I’d like to preface by saying that it isn’t my intention to put anyone down, and that I really appreciate these fan efforts, but the music really just sounds like the castle theme with some motifs and segment’s abrasively out of key.
It honestly makes me crawl through my skin, like when that one person in the band who can’t read keeps playing sharps or flats when there shouldn’t be.
I always wanted to walk through castle town pre calamity, seeing the progress of this project is amazing
You can hate Age of Calamity for its story, but you have to appreciate it for providing the necessary materials in restoring Hyrule.
Nothing but the truth.
Did anyone, ANYONE, play a hyrule warriors game expecting a good story?
@@JacobKinsley It's not about it being good or bad, it's about circumventing the premise and pulling off a cheap "what if" scenario to force a happy ending.
I wanted a good story, I found really appealing playing a desperate war that I already knew was gonna end in tears... then I found out what they did instead and lost all interest in the game 😕
It isn't just the noncanon story. I don't like Dynasty Warriors in general and the gameplay doesn't suit Zelda well at all. And the main villain was especially lame, even for Dynasty Warriors.
It would be really cool to see hyrule back to its formal glory in botw 2. With the edition from stuff from botw 1. Be kinda funny seeing different cultural type structures throughout castle town. Like Terry town homes, Kakariko village houses, and of course a few ruins to remember what happened so long ago.
.. rip
I mean, skyview landing is something right ? And Hudson is just few more step to 100% restore and even improve hyrule ! Just need a few million rupees tho 🗿
@@Ornzorasorry bro i got too many monster sculpture requests you gotta wait
Funny how simply changing the key of the song from minor to major make it sound so much more majestic and inspiring! Hyrule Castle Town look like it's about to be rebuilt and its people are full of hope! The holes and the purple flying things look like remnant of the BOTW game, so even if it stayed there, it still make sense! Amazing job, congratulations!
IKR, glad to see another musician
I love the contrast between the melody from the destroyed castle and this one
That’s the difference between minor and major keys. Only one half step in the third makes all the difference 😉
Amazing. All it needs now is npcs or some kind of allusions to the stores or houses from Ocarina or Twilight Princess.
Already working on that :)
This looks awesome as-is. But could you make it look more like Twilight Princess's Castle Town? More dense with just small alleyways, except in the center where the fountain is.
You have to have a Happy Mask Shop no matter what. It's not Zelda without the Happy Mask salesman lol
@@themaxident3373 what do you mean by that, only 2 zelda games have the happy mask salesman, i guess only 2 zelda games are real zelda games
i so wish we couldve still be able to explore after defeating ganon. this game is literally such a big part of me and i cant wait for the next game, thank u so much for putting effort into this
Well since suggestions are encouraged. Gonna make multiple suggestions as food for thought.
Definitely add some stores around where you can buy food supplies, unlike in other places make it so the stores sell an abundance of them, as you'd expect castle town to have large quantities of food supplies.
A weapon smith that sells and buys weapons, maybe one where you can custom order weapons as well. In the weapon store, perhaps you can give ores to the blacksmith so he can add durability modifiers. If a weapon you like is damaged, maybe you can get it repaired at the blacksmith?
A home you can buy in castle town, one with an armory storage box that you can store 100 of each weapon type in.
Add dogs and cuckoos around the area alongside the NPCs you mentioned.
Perhaps a fortune teller hut for variety?
Successor to Agetha from Twilight Princess who buys insects at insane prices? xD
A milk bar where you can buy milk and maybe Chelteau Romani as a new food item that gives you unlimited stamina for 10 or 15 minutes?
Last 4 are just for fun :3
Definitely writing it down :)
Also some of the chapels and churches can be just for lore and trivia. Having murals or artwork that add to the in universe lore would work wonders without needing to break your head on what to do. Not everything needs to be mini-games or stores.
The blacksmith shop is definitely a must. That was a missed opportunity on Nintendo's part.
Damn...thats beautiful. I dont have the words for this. It looks gorgeous. I mean it.
I dont know how much work that would be, but i imagine that Hyrule Town is full of people walking around and Guards at every Gate. Music is good as well. Maybe put some flowers here and there. Or more houses, in the cutscenes, it looked like a lot more houses. Honestly, in satisfied with anything you put oute, so just do what you feel is right. Youre doing Gods Work. Hope i can Download that for some coin one day.
This would be a cool DLC were you can travel between two time periods like with hero of time. A pre ganon world were you can do dlc quests related to the diffirent safe world, and the usual post ganon game we have
That sounds hella fun.
The game would double in storage😂 up to 40gb
As soon as I saw the thumbnail I screamed with delight. Thanks so much for restoring the town!
Absolutely *PHENOMENAL JOB* . Subscribed and following this project. I Love this!!
I can see it in my head. 4 years from now, he's done this with Hyrule castle and detailed the town, and there're people all around.
Omg this is amazing! I love how you could make this! And the track you have turned the sinister track into something so beautiful making it major instead of minor partly I believe? If not still! It’s amazing keep it up I love it so much!!!
This design is dope! The remixed music is genius. The original elements of Hyrule Castle from BotW but with a hopeful twist.
this is absolutely stunning! you did a spectacular job! Since you asked for suggestions, I would say more shrubs, plants, flowers etc
Finally, this looks great. I can't until you finish this mod.
I can't believe what I'm seeing rn, it looks absolutely beautiful. Keep up the great work!
Wow, this looks incredible! I personally prefer the shorter grass version better, since it looks more realistic for a town, and also because you get to see more of your awesome work from afar :)
This showcase and the music make me feel as if Hyrule Castle is being restored to its former glory... I like it!
This looks amazing! I love it, as it's something I've always wanted to see, how it all looked before the Calamity etc took over and destroyed it. You've earned yourself a new subscriber as this is totally awesome! 😍😊
You did a superb job on the Hyrule Cathedral, which is one of the most fascinating locations to me.
This is fantastic. I love to imagine what areas in games might have looked like had they never been destroyed, like as if you're experiencing them in their prime. Games like Shadow of the Colossus and Dark Souls are a couple games with such areas.
I think this looks fantastic! But to answer your question in the video: I think, in terms of pure aesthetics, at least to me anyways, that the regular short grass looks better. But if going for a more lore accurate representation, then tall grass would make more sense because it has been 100 years after all since the City was abandoned.
Either way, so far, the restoration is looking great! Keep up the great work man as always! You've got this! I believe in you! And it gets my hyped up to play BoTW all over again after all this time! Never give up man! Never stop! Much love! 😄✌
I think I"m more amazed at the change to Hyrule Castle's theme being changed to major
This makes me happy. Nice work
Always wanted to walk through the central town. Amazing project! I will love having more of this :,)
This looks amazing. Good job!
This mod looks really good, Hyrule castle town at its former glory and the pillars at Hyrule castle are blue
Brilliant work, fab!
Holy moly, since I finished BotW I wanted THIS to exist after the game ends. I love it, really cool and great job! 😍
Congrats! You are doing an amazing job!
Thats incredible!! Love it💖
holyshit awesome work, keep it up my man !
love the music! just changed the castle theme from minor to major. very clever thoughts!
this is insane, like actually mindblowing stuff
Well done! And the music too!
This is so insane. Nice work!
Omg this is epic, I love the Soundtrack too, the feelings T.T
Excellent work, looking forward to more.
this is amazing! great work!
Holy cow this is amazing!
I love how u used the same hyrule castle theme and put it in a major key to make it sound happier.
A very cool project!! Great job!!
Dude major key Hyrule Castle!! I feel like that's what they would play at the Champion's Ceremony or something, I loved it
This looks super awesome!!
Awe. I love this so much!
I hope in a few years the game knowledge expands to the point where this can be a post game, Tarrey town like side quest where you undertake various tasks to rebuild the town to its former glory. Would require a huge amount of work I'm sure but would make completing the game feel that much more impactful. Ofc Ganon would still in the cathedral but you could reasonably make it so only the castle interior is still infected.
Just a phenomenal job all round really, so impressed by your hard work and can't wait to see what's round the corner
That's just great, mate! Can't wait to see what comes next
This was so great!!
great job....the enxailmel/half-timbered netherlands style is awesome
Looks amazing!
This is wondeful! Glad to see you getting deep into the rebuild sauce.
around 2;49, the shadows on the ground seem to be moving strangely? not sure if this is from the modding though.
i thought a lot of the lumps on the ground were from houses that were destroyed to the point that they were eventually completely covered in dirt, so that would help align housing placement, though that’s just interpretation.
This is great stuff ! GG
This is actually amazing jeez nuts holy moly 😨😨😨
great work!
This is so cool! Seeing it in Hyrule Warriors was so surreal, and seeing it in the actual game is just as cool!
As for the grass, if possible, maybe a mix of short and tall? Short for the areas with more foot travel, but as you wander away from buildings, it gets taller. So like, around a well would be short grass, maybe even dirt, because people walk to it all the time and wore it down. But a random hill with no buildings would have tall grass.
I know that's a lot of work though so if I can only pick one, then I suggest short
you are a legend
This looks amazing!! I'm sure you'll get plenty of feedback and have ideas of your own on how to improve the landscaping and such so I don't have much to say there. I am a storytelling major, so I have some advice with characters!
It's important to know your NPCs because they will factor into the buildings all around town. The businesses and houses all belong to them, so once you storyboard a character you're going to develop what makes them unique and mildly interesting to the player and you will definitely want each interior to be unique to the character as you get further into development. The buildings' exteriors and interiors will be 95% of your visual storytelling in a city mod!!
My best advice for building the NPCs would be to start from the bottom of their society's structure and work up around it. What kind of people does a city like this need? Think about what purpose each citizen will serve to the community of the city, think about how their role would fit into Pre-Calamity Hyrule, connect them to the community, and then build an actual character up off that. They don't have to be anything complex, their connection to the world around them will do wonders with a simple personality.
Guard troops, separate from the soldiers come to mind first, keeping in mind that their standing army was probably not very large considering the lack of enemy countries from what we've seen and only minor monster threats. So probably only a few guards around the marketplace to help prevent theft most likely! This handful of guards won't be difficult to name and assign to families in the community once you've established them.
A more common example would be a produce vendor who sells their vegetables and fruits in the marketplace. How do you build them? Well, how do they get their goods? Are they a business person with a whole store, buying vegetables and fruits from the countryside farmers? Or are they a simple child of farmers who sells their family's produce from back home at a small market stall? Why not both coexisting or even being rivals? That's how you start with character building and the rest of their personality will fall together naturally with their role in this society. The important part is the connection to other people in town, making it feel like a social web.
this makes me really happy
YES! oh my gosh, someone ACTUALLY did it! I've wanted to see a playable pre-war hyrule castle ever since I saw a glimpse of it in Link's memories in botw. Great job
thank you. I just saw this video; funnily enough a few hours after my first hyrule castle town run through after starting totk last week.
I was relieved that the guardians are no longer there. But i did not expect gloom hands!!!! ☠️
The music sounds like it belongs at a parade. This looks awesome!👍
This was kinda how I imagined it to look like after beating Ganon ;.; You did a great job btw!
This is really super cool. The two things that come to mind for additions would be: 1) Scattered equipment, fires/cooking pots, and NPCs to make it feel alive and 2) Those "hidden" Zelda-y sort of elements like a secret shield-surfing course across a section of close together roofs, or a secret entrance basement with someone selling potions, or a functioning windmill.
This is amazing! THIS is what I want to see in TOTK 🔥
wow that looks amazing bro 😍😍
Nice recreation! would be super cool of you could somehow add like people walking around and stuff like that! Still pretty badass👍
Lol I remember this is what my ass thought the end game for BOTW was going to be back in the day, collecting gems and wood for guards and villagers rebuilding Castle Town like a larger Tarry Town quest
This is sick as fuck, good job so far and i can't wait to see the finished project
godamn my dude. lookin good!
That’s music! So beautiful
As someone who has always loved Zelda games, I played the OG 1&2 when I was 10ish...now I had a boy almost 10 and BOTW is something we share. We discussed this, rebuilding Hyrule and you did not disappoint. If I were wealthy, I'd hire you to rebuild the entire landscape for BOTW and it would be worth it. Awesome job! Anywhere where you have all your mod done for all parts of the game in one video?
Damn looks amazing
very beautiful
This game's almost 6 years old, with a sequel's around the corner, yet we're still getting quality stuffs like this. Honestly they could go with this look after we've defeated Ganon, amazing and nicely done!
this is beautiful
Wow this looks awesome.
Great job man
It is so cool seeing the castle town wall completely repaired. If you could add gates to the town as well that would be great, because it would make a better design in terms of defense.
When you are done, could you show a bird eye's view of the town's layout? Also there is a UA-cam channel called "Shadiversity" who I would love to see review the town/castle.
Omg this is the best video of 2024!!! I wish we could have explored this in game 😢
AAMMAAAAAAZZINNGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!
And that music is an awesome fit too!
Amazingly good!
Very good music ! ❤
it looks so impressive and amazing, it feels like the castle town is being played through as its drawn in the creating a champion book! the music did startle me a bit, it sounded like... music that would play after reclaiming the castle, and during the rebuilding process of the town since there are still some minor tones, but the major tones are overpowering the minor ones and gradually making the minor tones less... does that make sense? 😂 anyways !! this is so cool!❤
It could be a gradual transition from minor, to dorian, to mixolydian, and finally to major
This is amazing! it looks like it could use some more work on LODS, asset control, and textures. It seems like there are some particles and a lot of polygons you don't really need. But other than that and a few minor details it looks really good. Great job.
Switching the music to a major key was the most underrated part of this video.
This actually sounds super triumphant and legit! I hear it and think dread but then it’s replaced by a bright and shining hope.
Mad props
It’s so beautiful
Wonderful ❤
I like the touch of the more victorious sounding rendition of the hyrule castle theme from botw
Wooow..awesome
love the music
wow amazing
Wow, it’s such a heartwarming feeling
This is amazing and needs to be shared far a wide
I also love the Major Chord version of Hyrule Castle in BoTW, mega kudos to a great composition
