    Great song and performance! There were a couple of times that his eyes were saying, "What's wrong with this crowd?". They look like the kids from 1955 who were listening to Marty McFly jam 😂. Huge Charlie Sexton fan!!

    Saw him in 85/86 on his TX tour. Been a fan ever since. So talented and easy on the eyes. 😁

    I had this album I loved Charlie, he had a really great vocal style and was just beautiful!!! Great underrated tune, I would have been incapable of standing still however!!🎵🎶🌠👍☺️

    Awesome !!! 30 plus years ago now - still resinates !!! This was obviously Charlies early and awesome days !!! What a frickin dead audience tho - I would have been dancing and singing along at the same time !!

    oh man!! Sexton had , All the 80's icons accessories, and he had the guitar chops too!!, I love this song!! Surrounded by great musicians, they sure had his back! This look was short-lived, I bet he feels lucky getting out just in time, Arc Angels!!!! Whoo!! Doyle!!!

    When you end up touring with David Bowie and Bob Dylan, you are pretty AMAZING!! 🙌🏼❤️ I was obsessed with him in the 80s and it’s been reignited!

    Crazy good. Especially at 17 years old. The only thing that bugs is the back up players a.k.a. keyboard and other guitar are a bit too enthusiastic. It's The Charlie show but, nonetheless, great. Saw Arc Angels 2012. Kicked ass. True musician.

    On this day in 1986 {April 19th} a music video of Charlie Sexton's "Beat's So Lonely" was aired on the Dick Clark's ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'...
    At the time the song was at position #54 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, four weeks earlier it had peaked at #17 {for three weeks} and it spent twenty weeks on the Top 100...
    Charles Wayne Sexton will celebrate his 51st birthday this coming August 11th, 2019...

    OMG was this video shot in a morgue, or what??? Jeez not too lively crowd, or maybe it was the first time they ever heard Charlie Sexton. I don't recall him playing any dates close enough for me to see him in person, but I'll tell ya what I would've shown a lot more enthusiam than these people. I think anyone who ever had a chance to see him live had something special going for them :)

    TEXAS spawned another David Bowie: Charlie is the epitome of cool - my fav' version of his musical evolution were with the Arc Angels - killer blues/rock band.

      Happy playing with Bob Dylan's band all these years. Agree - he could have had a very successful solo career had he wanted it. Lots of sacrifices though. And I think in his heart he is more of a guitarist than a lead guy.

      @@heatherreeddykes7231 Yeah, I'm a Charlie Fan..and bad timing, crappy marketing...his focus on substance over gimmicks...it made alot of wonder what to do with him...thats my guess. But in the end i think he's happy..plays quite alot and has made so many outstanding contributions.

      @@niece7959 I love it all. Bob Dylan, his work with Doyle Bramhall jr. I remember when this song came out and them saying he was doing sessions with Keith Richards at 15yo, plus all that other great stuff when he was still a kid. I believe he’s 17 here.

    I love it but my goodness the crowd is "Dead" to say the least !! Were they sippin ambien milkshakes or what ?? Charlie Sexton is one of my all time favorites and here in the states we would have been a "more energetic crowd"

    Charlie took over for Jesse Taylor at 12 years of age, after Jesse lost a fight with a brick wall. SRV was his babysitter, Joe Ely took him on tour. David Grissom as well. Double Trouble (Whipper & Tommy) played with Malford, Grissom & David Holt and with Charlie & Doyle 2 as Arc Angels. Arc Angels is on tour now.

    This song was not only featured in the John Hughes film “Some Kind of Wonderful“, but written into the plot’s climactic party scene. That being said; how is it excluded from the soundtrack? Not only that, but the bonus features for the movie include a music feature with no mention of Charlie Sexton.

    saw him and Peter Frampton cutting heads to White Light White Heat at Bowie's Glass Spider show in Dallas in '87. The clips I've seen online from that tour don't show them really going back and forth like they did at that show. It was really cool.

    Charlie was up for the role of Eric Draven in The Crow. He turned it down and the studio went with the late Brandon Lee

    The Caucasian Prince!!!!! Charlie is such a talented musician, but i can't help but laugh at this part of his career. He was such a teen heartthrob flavor of the week back then but has stood the test of time.
