Was waiting 🎉 thank you for your teachings. I'm absolutely enjoying. Was teaching on part 1&2 to my family today. They definitely gonna hear about part 3 tomorrow. God bless you all❤
Hello guys! Big time and recent fan. Been binging a lot of your content and a fellow Floridian. I was super excited to see this episode as I almost considered reaching out and asking for this topic. I was sure you would hit the mark on a crucial misconception (that I have a soapbox I like to get on about) but you missed it!! There are so many sources that have analyzed this and show the inn and the stable are inaccuracies. They are NO WHERE in the text. The only thing mentioned where this idea comes from is the word manger. But animals were primarily kept in houses. By perpetuating this myth, you also missed a huge opportunity to make a Gospel connection like you do in all your main points. The word KJV translates as “inn” is actually “kataluma” in Greek. Do you know where else this kataluma is used? At the Last Supper and it is the word for the Upper Room. Do you see the (better) gospel connection? When Christ was born, he couldn’t be in the kataluma, but by the time he was at the end of his ministry, he would be Lord of a kataluma and host a Last Supper to institute the symbols of the new covenant. Here are a few sources I have found on this matter that are very compelling: answersingenesis.org/christmas/christmas-no-room-for-an-inn/?srsltid=AfmBOoqlUmdPtdhHycNpF8z9M8_4d5ymsZdywu__Eh_R-XFesP6-bPiv hebraicthought.org/jesus-born-relatives-house-not-an-inn/ www.dannyzacharias.net/blog/2016/12/6/there-was-no-innkeeper-and-there-was-no-inn-either-some-christmas-reflections (I also thought more would be made of Bethlehem’s history - King David was anointed by Samuel there and as well as the story of Ruth and Boaz)
Thank You!!!
