lol I hear you about the higher count fabrics. Until recently I had only stitched on Aida and 25ct evenweave. Then in August I got a shop match fabric for some new starts I wanted to do. She chose 32ct, 36ct and 40ct linens. I accepted the challenge and now my preference is 32ct linen and higher. We don't know what we are capable of unless we try.
Very true. Just over a year ago I had decided that I was never going to stitch on linen again, and nothing that was smaller than 28 count. The rest is history. LOL! Thanks so much for watching!!!
Beautiful finishes, saw your pillow on Carolyn's flosstube. LOVE your idea of 12 advent kits I will have to ask my daughter to wrap up 12 kitted up things for me as well. Happy stitching Patty
My friend Laura and I are going to do 12 new starts in December too. We did it last year instead of the 12 on new years eve. My family like to play board games on new years eve so no new starts for me then. I love your friends idea of wrapping them up. I might put all mine in their own project bag and get my daughter to wrap them up, such a great idea.
I can so relate with the going in all the way with a new hobby. I did that with my paper crafting, scrapbooking and the card making which led to becoming a SU demo. Then back into quilting and cross stitching. I could open my own craft store....lol. I have two needlepoint canvases I bought when I first got married 25 years ago that I haven't started yet, but you can't rush these things....lol
I was an SU demo for over 20 years on and off and really enjoyed it, but eventually got a bit burnt out on the classes I was teaching. Then I became obsessed again with cross stitch, and now hardanger and needlepoint. Yes, you shouldn't rush it. They'll call to you when they want to be stitched. 😊😊
I'm so glad you're happy with it! Yes, I meant to tell you about Winter Friends Welcome, but got sidetracked by other things. I loved yours so had to start it also.
Caroline Zook recommended your finishing, and I ended up subscribing to your flosstube. Sallie and I just started our flosstube (our channel name is this username).

Woooooo!! You are on fire with the high counts!!! Remind me that I have some 4.0 readers for you to try 😉👀😁
Sounds like the Advent idea will be better for you than the NYEve 12x12. I like your scissor fob- so pretty!!!
