Yes cash, almost any sport you play you should be in the weight room. And if you are under the guidance of coaches who know what they are doing....you will be in the weight room. Not to the extent that it negates what you do in your sport..but where you still get all the benefits of strength, size, and durability.

Cash, I am a 19 year old boy who weighs 220 and am a huge fan of both you and flight. I am chubby and recently signed up to go to the gym but after flights words about going to the gym etc I didn't go that day after feeling discouraged about my dreams of maybe being thinner. I put on your reaction as I was going on a drive and after I heard your rant about going to the gym I turned my car around and headed to the gym. After 2 weeks, I have never felt more confident about the way I feel about myself. As someone who had reoccurring shoulder injuries in High School, I WISH I could’ve been in the weight room more. I was rehabbing my last 2 years of high school in between seasons. If not for my shoulder I probably would’ve been 2X the athlete I was and I probably would’ve played college ball somewhere. I’m not saying I was amazing but it basically would’ve been living my dream so to say strength doesn’t matter is rediculous

I was skinny like Flight at once point. Once I hit the gym, I felt unstoppable and an animal. My coach put me at PF at 6’0” because I was way more physical, athletic, and stronger than my team big men. Plus I was crazy fast and had amazing defense because I was too strong.

I am chubby and recently signed up to go to the gym but after flights words about going to the gym etc I didn't go that day after feeling discouraged about my dreams of maybe being thinner. I put on your reaction as I was going on a drive and after I heard your rant about going to the gym I turned my car around and headed to the gym. As someone who had reoccurring shoulder injuries in High School, I WISH I could’ve been in the weight room more. I was rehabbing my last 2 years of high school in between seasons. If not for my shoulder I probably would’ve been 2X the athlete I was and I probably would’ve played college ball somewhere. I’m not saying I was amazing but it basically would’ve been living my dream so to say strength doesn’t matter is rediculous
Amen cash. Ever since I’ve been hitting the weight room I’ve increased my range from deep, my confidence going into the post, and interior defense against super tall strong guys. The best example is Michael Jordan and the pistons because it helped him become the goat. Also it’s proven that lifting weights increases your growth.
