As soon as he said "D&H" and "Kansas," I knew he was headed to Silas' place. I've been following Silas for a while - ever since he cleaned out that Studebaker honey hole, and he's mentioned D&H before. Matter of fact, he did a junk yard crawl down there recently. I'm surprised 406 Garage hasn't been all over that.
Thank you so much for your awesome videos each week! Just found out my wife is having a baby! We have agreed that we will name him Jacob!!! Thank you for all that you do!
@lancephelps Congrats on your up and coming baby!!! I couldn't think of a better name unless of course you were to name him Ward which would be my name LOL. Have a great evening my Brother!!!!👍😎💯

Don’t you worry we’re gonna watch your videos, no matter what! You’re a great guy and thank you for your service to our country! God bless, Puddin, fab shop and family!
Had 2 of those 53-54 Hudson Jetliners once. 3 trim levels Jet, Super Jet & The Jetliner & that one you saw @ 20:00 had a rare continental kit option. They also made 1 dealer 2dr convertable & 25 Aluminum Hudson Italia Superleggera prototypes with Jet parts. It was supposed to be an economical car & delars let you try the "teacup test" a see thrugh cylinder mounted on the outside of the passengers window & a teacup of fuel would be added to see how long it would run for. originally designed with a lower roofline, but the higher ups wanted it tall enough to wear a hat while driveing & as a result, the Jet did the company in. They merged with Nash but went out in 57...
My grandma and grandpa bought a 1965 Mercedes in Germany when they went on a trip in 1967 and had it shipped back to the states. I wish they never sold it
25:25 Crew oxygen tanks likely from military aircraft of 1940s to 50s vintage. Sure would like to have that one. 39:37 Pocahontas was the guide for Lewis and Clark!
I got off my ass and started my youtube channel a few months ago. My latest video was a junkyard walkaround. Thank you for being a motivation for us to get off our ass and finish our projects!
Awd astro is always on my list. I want one to turn into a hot rod. The early awd transfer case was an awesome piece with a viscous coupler that splits power 60/40. Slap a turbo on it and it's practically a typhoon/syclone drivetrain in a package that nobody would suspect
Then at 17 minutes there is that white dodge Newport, a 2 door longer than most 4 doors. I had a 62 Chrysler 300 that I spent alot of time cleaning, but I sold it before I got a chance to do anything to it. I bought it for 250$, sold it for 1200$. But I've never seen another one (except in magazines and online)

Hahahahha currently looking for one for that reason I am going to make the first longbed typhoon out of my grand fathers 88 I got when he passed and instead of a single turbo setup thinking of doing a compound set up
Finally, i feel like i hooked you guys up, i made silas from adventure made from scratch aware of you, and i posted several comments on this channel about silas 2, and here we are a couple of weeks later, im so glad i brought you guys together😃
I know Silas and his father, I lived in Hutchinson for many years. We lived off of 96 hwy and 4th st until my wife's passing four years old ago, I am now in Wichita Kansas.

Silas is a good man and his videos are great. You took a great risk making that miles and walking so much through that snow so soon after that type of surgery. I am very thankful that the Lord kept His hand upon you! Blessings.
back in the 80's we would go to junk yards and look for Mercedes-Benz and find those hubcaps just like the ones you got on that car and put them on are Datsun 620's .
I'm lucky enough to own a 1958 Mercedes 220s sedan. It is complete and I got it from the second owner. It was sitting in a garage from 1974. It is " next " in my builds.
Say what ya want about an old All Wheel Drive Astro van, but when I was in the Marine Corps we had one of these rigs when we were in Bridgeport California during cold weather training, and that thing drug us around through the snow and ice to all the cool natural hot springs in the area. Yup, we grilled us some chicken, while soaking in the natural hotspring tub, and the snow kept our beer cold. MAN, those were the good old days!! She was a tough van to stay together going where we went, and always got us there no matter how many times we tried to get her up the side of a mountain, but she always made it eventually!!!
It was good to meet you! Thanks again!
You too buddy! Appreciate ya letting us walk around!
