4 years ago: "£520,000 Yacht Tour : Fairline Targa 45GT" and today "£1 Million Fairline Targa 45GT"... Hmm...
It's so cool seeing you drive the boat! I will say, the boat was loud. Sounded like we were in a dryer filled with shoes. cool aerial shots. keep up the good work.
It's a great boat and you are genuinely impressed. That's life, sometimes you think you understand something and then you're forced to re-evaluate.
Loving the videos.
From the drone shots, it looks stunning. 30knts is enough for most people. Great video. 🇦🇺 😊
All the beating, rattling and banging when running is surprising. My 34 year old boat doesnt do that. At this price point its unacceptable to me. Cheers Nick, it looks good on you.
To be fair, the camera mic is very sensitive and it's far louder on the video than in real life.
It’s been my experience with full lock turns that the speed stalls significantly requiring a bit more throttle. But this boat has so much torque that it seems to stay well over the 20 knots that you started the turn with. Very cool to see the drone tracking the boat when you opened the roof up. It’s amazing that a boat with so many luxury accommodations despite not having a fly feels so open. Well done Nick!
She is a little stunner for sure and has the speed and handling to match. Now that you have driven the Targa 40 and this 45GT, which one would you have Nick. Thanks for taking us on a sea trail of her
I think it would depend on my budget, probably the 45 if I could stretch to it, but I'd be extremely happy with the 40
Really impressed. Seems to handle quite well.
Also, really impressed with the drone footage. I’m used to seeing drone shots, but not in real time. That was some good editing, and some good drone work as well. I approve.
kudos to the cameraman / drone pilot.
Love how high it sits when pulling top knots, steady trim even at 30. Great trial Nick, enjoyed that. X😊
I like how you opened the video this time, very cinematic… like a movie. Love your videos, keep up the great work. Thanks Nick!
Fabulous fun indeed, nice boat… what a great way to start the day!
Thanks for the cruise Nick
Tradition! Or shall we say, time for a new tradition Nick. How about a little "drone wave for you"? 👋
Another fine video, well done.
Great fun! It's nice to see one out at speed and with some great footage, you gave it some wellie too xD
What a fun job you have Nick, that looked like awesome fun, nice to see these boats in action. Great video Nick thank you.
I must say it looks like a fine boat, that can cover a lot of roles, and it sounds good too 😀 Thanks for the tour 😊
Always great to see these boats in action.
I miss you telling “ this is the VIP room, isn’t it superb? “ 😄
Greetings from Spain
Such a beautiful boat! ✨🛥️✨
Looks like the perfect boat for the south coast.
Oh you’re in Southampton. Thought you were Miami vice for a minute
When will we see you in this boat on the River Dart and around Torbay I will keep my eyes open
i prefer the deck saloon boats - particularly in the UK - because they are usable year round. your completely open boat only gets used a few months of the year whereas the deck saloon can be warm and dry in the shoulder seasons or on the many, many rainy days during the main boating season.
Now that looks like a ton of fun! Hopefully they knew to store anything fancy on the tables before they threw you the keys😁
Great video nick and lovely boat 🛥🚤⛵️👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
One word YES looks fast when standing still love a sea trial
Yeah Nick another amazing video, and as @ComboBreakerHD rightly said awesome format.
You keep the good work up and thanks for your wit and wisdom along the way!
The choice of music was great! I say that as someone who is on the radio.
SB3 for sure!!! I can't wait for that announcement and suprise Aquaholic walkthrough!!!
Congrats on the half a million subs
Love it, must be on your wish list.
What a lovely piece of kit Nick, just a bummer no engine room shots!, the F45 is still my fav!. ;))
y'alls drag race was pretty good
Looks like a lot of fun
Versatile boat ideal for the British climate would encourage you to go out when the weather isn’t so warm👍
Hello, have you ever thought about summarising your "waving into the mirror"? I always find this point in your videos particularly beautiful! Many thanks for your very good and informative contributions!
I do love the sea trials. I miss the feeling of the sea air on my face, maybe one day I will be able to afford my own.
Even at 30 knts , could still use the boat , get around and have drinks :-)
For me , a serious turn would almost have the water on the deck :-)
Me like muchas very muchas. I like her she is stylish, she comfortable. She canbe totally enclosed or open the sunroof side windows and cockpit sliding doors so open to wind. A good choice for family, a couple, owner operator. A weekend, day and as couple of weeks or more holiday boat.
Now that’s the kinda boat I see you having 😊
Great sea trial Nick.
There were a few bangs and crashes on what looked a fairly calm Solent.
Is that more down to where the Camera/Mic were?
Nick, I always wondered how you felt about closed boats with no fly bridge. I actually feel the same way,if your going to close it in put a fly bridge up there even if it's small. I would rather have a fly bridge than a big opening sunroof. It gives a much larger feel to your boat and another place to drive from! Love you brother from across the pond, I enjoy your videos and Opinions so much. Sometimes we differ
But for the most part I feel we like similar things about boats and yachts. When we sell our current boat I'll let you know and you can do a walkthrough if you want. We are getting ready to purchase a new vessel at the end of the year.
The thing with flybridges is that they are very exposed. A deck saloon gives you the fresh air but without the exposure. But they are all a compromise, if there was a perfect solution, there would only be one type of boat 🙂
Great little Friday sea trial!
I wonder, would you chose this or one of the other 2 on test?
Personally, a deck saloon is my preferred style in the British climate!
Says Nick, I better take a look around before hammering it the curves in case anyone is close by. Nick set off in a flotilla of 3 boats all in his slipstream so it's just as well, maybe he should have fitted wing mirrors 😎 Cheers DougT
Cracking sports boat nick
Seems to be a great investment too with the price doubling in only four years!
A million for a sea trial , sounds rather pricey to me 😜🤣🍻
How terrible again. Driving a 1 million boat at sea, testing it for a bit, having no fun at all!!
I'm glad you did this Sir, because, who would want to do that!
The sacrifice is much appreciated. ( That smile isn't going away for the next week, is it? )
Thank you AQUAHOLIC compliment video brilliant Sea Trial Fairline Targa 45 GT jewel moement very speed .
Where was the Drone Wave?
POWWWER!!! the Jeremy Clarkson of the marine scene, go for it. Honest and open boat reviews... can that be done? What about boats you don't like, could you point out faults and still get invited back? Hope to see more!
Aquaholic: Full THRUST!
Thanks for posting Nick. Looks a lovely boat. But I have to say, it sounded like it was really slamming and slapping. And it didn't appear to be that choppy. Or was that mic position related?
seems to slam a bit at speed, hope its not as noisy at displacement speeds.
Hey Nick, was the bow slap as loud in real life, as the microphone makes it sound quite intrusive. It looks very stable and you seemed to really enjoy it.
I’d love to know how many boats this channel sells 🎉
in anticipation :-) Music is cool .
Great work as always Nick but couldn't you just get the wind in your hair from sitting at the flybridge helm station?
Yes, but you're very exposed, so on a cooler day it's chilly up there. This gives you the fresh air but a lot more protection from the cold
I actually think I want this boat. 😂
It's bumpy!
the swim platform has a big leak :)
Please review a Pursuit OS325 or 405
wave slap you cannot get away from , looks flat in the water .
So you like an hybrid :-) Budget a consideration . An upper deck / fly bridge , another helm ? you have more chance of the 'wind in your hair ' than I do . great if $$ are not a consideration , this just seems more practical . Do not see a 'fly bridge /helm ' on may super yachts :-)
Open every door, drawer, cabinet. and cupboard (or did I miss that one?)
That's a beautiful day in the UK ?
Sorely it's a Sea trial, not a Sea trail? But I'll let you off the typo, because I love your videos, keep up the good work 👍🚤
Visibility from the helm seems pretty poor when on plane. I noticed you had to really stoop down to see behind you, and even out to the side.
Too much wave noise for my liking, other than that it's a nice boat.
It's less obvious in reality, tha mic tends to pick everything up and exaggerate it.
Beauty
Not `cool` surely? More `warm`. It is Southampton, after all!
Fun
Just like riding a horse 😃
How can it be £500k more than the 40? £100k a foot?
Now consider the beam and the height and think about the extra volume created...
Sounds like a rattly old bus
Inflation much? 2020-520.000 2024-1.000.000
It looks nice…. Not sure it looks a million pounds-worth though….. I think I’d enjoy your boat more actually!
Love this format of video, the b-roll from the drone is top flight. Always nice to see you behind the helm.
Much appreciated!
