Hi facing the same issue where can i find the metal master cylinder? Been searching since yesterday almost all that come up are plasic. Only one i can find is one called mal wood, is that the only option?
I've cut one appart to see the insides. They have a metal tube, plunger and rod only things plastic are the lines, the shell to mount and the stopper at the end
To my knowledge it takes a while since only a small volume of fluid is pumped out of the CSC. I disconnected the hose from the reservoir, put a bleeding syringe attached to some clear tube down and tightened a hose clamp around it to attempt to pull a vacuum and extract any air that might have been trapped in the master cylinder. Then bleed the CSC as per normal procedure.
I bleed it until the new liquid came through the line. And there were no more bubbles. After that a few pushed on the clutch peddle and it all came back to me.
Thanks for the extra tips like having rags handy….clean working
You can buy a one man brake bleeder valve from Super Cheap for about $10.00. Has a one way valve that stops air getting back through bleeder fitting.
Thanks, I'll check this out
