Like you have mentioned, since both Yibo and that guy are not in the same team, it is completely natural to be competitive. I don't see why anyone would take it out of the context. As a fan of Yibo, we are aware of how competitive he is. Yibo is very talented and a person of good heart. I wish him success in everything he does.
Such kind of provocation is part of the waacking culture. Actually Waackers have a tendency to do this. Play the field like that, suppress the other dancer. It makes them look powerful and stand out in a battle. It adds to the sassy and explosive element of the dance. And Xiao Bao is a veteran who tried to do the same to Yibo. But Yibo reacted immediately suppressing Xiao Bao back. His speed of reaction, boldness and strategic thinking (like make Xiao Bao waste time) made it so that Yibo turned the tables on Xiao Bao.
Yibo is professional and competitive. There is no need to base someone's sexuality on a dance move. For me, that move was totally unexpected and very entertaining to see this side of yibo

And how can someone dance with too much confidence you mean passion. If he wanted to address what happened and talk about his discomfort with ppl shipping them in that sort of way and explain what happened from his point of view he can. Touching, teasing, challenging, baiting, is all part of dance competitions they have been showing and saying that since the beginning of the show.
YiBo’s reaction is not surprising. He has always been competitive when it comes to games, and it seems especially so when it’s a dance battle. I remember in one episode of DDU, he had a dance battle. Initially he was cordial but the guy initiated a challenging gesture right to his face. YiBo retaliated immediately aggressively in his dance. The guy felt challenged and wanted to retaliate but DDU brothers stepped in to stop the battle. So YiBo’s aggressive retaliation doesn’t come as a surprise frankly. Now, to go on live stream and make a unsubstantiated insinuation on another person’s orientation is a low blow and tasteless. Even if YiBo goes the other way, that’s his personal life and choice. Nobody has right to act pretentiously on live stream to throw shade about him. At no point did YiBo do that to Xiao Bao. He explained that he did that to disturb Xiao Bai’s dance momentum which I found to be acceptable. After all, YiBo is the captain of a competitor team. Why should he, a captain of another dance team, allow himself to be used by competitor in the dance battle?

What happened is so common in dance circles like this. You rattle your opponent by forcing them to gay panic. You drag them out of their comfort zone so when it’s their turn, they don’t really know where to start, and they won’t get too close to you to clown you. The thing is, with people that are dance battle veterans, they’ve seen this a million time before and they know how it goes. The only way to fight back is to flip the script and make them uncomfortable. Yibo is a veteran; he’s been dancing for more than half his life. Him standing up, latching on, and chasing him was just Yibo wasting the other guy’s time on the floor and ruining his flow. It has nothing to do with sexually and everything to do with Yibo being a hyper competitive Leo.
Couldn't agree more. Yibo really flipped the table on Xiaobao and his reaction was so entertaining to see. I wouldn't be surprised if Xiaobao panicked for a moment there with such a prompt response. And speaking of his signs, judging by his response, Yibo was clearly the definition of "You mess with the Ox, you get the horns".
I found Yibo really professional in this. He showed that no matter what the challenges and obstacles are, he won't back down and that's what should be in a true artist. I'm proud of Yibo 💜
A small part of my video has been trimmed out due to copyright, so here's a summary of the part that was cut out (the part where we could hear what Yibo's thought was): During the hotpot scene, Zhang Meng asked Yibo what he was thinking when Xiao Bao went up to him because it seemed like he wanted "war" or to battle. In summary, Yibo said as long as he is near me, then I'll make sure that he can't leave. If he comes to me to challenge me, then ok, I'll make sure he can't go back. Since he's here, he can waste all of his time on me.

Same! I saw the hotpot episode. It's exactly what Yibo would do. He is very competitive, and it was kinda fun watching him torture and sweat Xiao Bao. I don't care about his preferences, I do care that he gets back to being fierce! I saw a few of the recent Day Day Up episodes, and he seems less fierce. I honestly hope he can dust off the dirt that was Xiao Bao, and continue on.

It was a dance battle and he choose Yibo thinking that he could win but Yibo picked up the thrown gauntlet and challenge him back. So when the other guy moved away in my opinion he lost. And yes the head graving was hot.
I really like Xiao Bao. I was actually so happy that he was brought back by Hanliang. And his entire thing on the show is a character more than just over confidence. But I agree with you that it can come off as too much and annoying because he does like to get attention. And regarding that whole moment with Yibo, I totally agree with you. He was being competitive and at that moment he was just, ya know, arguing with his body. It`s adance show, and he is a dancer, he will speak through his body and that is just great for the show.
Xiao Bao went on livestream to talk about Yibo's sexuality because shippers attacked Yibo after that dance not understanding the style of Waacking or voguing. So he was defending him; even on XB's own posts on weibo ppl said inappropriate stuff. I like him because he's a character and he can help Wallace with choreography. But like you said everyone has their own opinion which is perfectly fine. Btw I watched that dance portion quite a few times, first because I thought it was epic and I knew of how voguing battles worked and then just to see ppl's reactions which were hysterical. I'm so sorry but the first part is not true. If by "shippers" you mean BJYX fandom, they never have done anything wrong against Yibo, even on contrary they're so chill unless you do sth against Yizhan. and If you mean the XiaoBao's fandom, what on earth can they even do in front of Yibo's fans which are consisted of two very huge & empowered fandoms in the whole China's mainland? The situation got bold because XiaoBao directly talked about BJYX on his fandom's Wechat and its screenshots got spread. further, said "don't ship men with men, don't ship me with Yibo but ship with Yixing and Wallace" (isn't it so hilarious?) and also indirectly talked about Yibo's sexuality on those chats (which is not his place to talk about at all ! who tf he thinks he is?) and add this all up to his live !! he wanted to twist the situation for himself's good (even his friends came said some bs to get benefit from this situation) he crossed some lines, That's why our fandoms got outraged "It was fun, but now, just sit down." he basically got afraid of fans, otherwise wouldn't even stop it. (just see how dramatic he is talking about the way Yibo grabbed him? what he was expecting then after going and provoking him? whether waacking or not, you have to expect the other side's reaction too after challenging in SD).
First of all- I love your voice LOL Your voice is pleasant to listen to. ^^ Second- people are so sensitive these days... you think waaaay too much. This is free style/street dance, when someone challenges you, you will not back down! Yibo is the type of person who will not allow you to win just like that- you challenged him, you will get what you asked for. He did what he did for the battle, not out of his personality or rudeness. Comparing, you can see Yibo’s reaction speed, experience and the understanding of waacking etc are all at a professional level.That’s how battles are. People need to understand it first, then think for a while, and then start talking/ writing. I think that every fan solo or not must respect people's privacy and not interfere in people's lives. I don't know about you, but I will feel really uncomfortable if someone talks / gossips about my sexuality, even if i know it myself and i am sure of it. I don't think we, as his fans, have the right to talk about this and make things worse. Because we are the people who talk from left to right about different things, even if we are joking around, but there are many people on the Internet who don't know him and don't know everything and start to form an opinion about him based on our stories.... For those who made comments about Xiao Bao’s live broadcast. Xiao Bai stated that Yibo is a straight man and not happy to be shipped with another man because during his broadcast Xiao Bao was attacked by many bjyx cp fans. As for Yibo’s reaction during dance, he explained it in the follow up captain hotpot program, that was a tactic during battle to control the opponent and to make him wasting his allowable time.

Xiao Bao wanted to shock n ended up shocked himself. Yibo really reacted in the opposite way to how Xiao Bao expected and he found himself trying to get away instead. He underestimated. Yibo! Yibo did the right thing as Bao's dancing was impacted by Yibo and he had to grab someone else to get away! Lol 😀😀😀
wow Your voice is really nice. I don't think Xiao Bao is seeking attention. It's just that I feel like he's way too overconfident and a bit arrogant. It was really fun to watch. Though I have to admit I was a bit shocked of Yibo facial expression when he respond. I don't know if this happened later, but Yibo's explanation part of the video was cut. I know he talks about it in the Let's chat/Hot pot episode after this. And he basically said what you did, that the dancer was a rival team dancer that got in his face, so he stopped him from moving, to waste some of his time and to make a point. He even demonstrates to Jackson, I think, how he did it. He was a little enthusiastic during most of this season, I don't think he overreacted, especially because of his previous battle experience. And he knew how the other professional dancers would see it as a challenge and he has a well documented history of not taking challenges, especially dance challenges, lying down.

It's a battle. It's part of the game. Wang Yibo knows the scene well and participated in some battles. He knows the rules of the game and he retaliated in a fun and respectful way just like Xiao Bao did. There's no such thing as a too confident dancer.
yibo is a very competitive person and in dance what xiao bao did can be seen as a challenge so its reasonable that yibo reacted that way. They are on opposite teams and at that moment tyibo showed him he wouldn't back down from a challenge and turned the table around
Slight different perspective as to why Xiao Bao made that comment in his live stream. Due to the way Chinese media is. It's not seen as ok to be gay especially for a male artist who is in the lime light like Yibo. Which is why shows like the untamed don't have any kissing scenes etc. So i think the comment was made to protect him due the moral attitude and what's allowed by the govt. So I don't think it's attention seeking.

I really liked you’re video. You came right to the point, which is the truth of what happened and how Wang Yibo seems to be. I thought the move Yibo made was absolutely “hot” and very smooth which comes naturally to him if you’ve ever watched him perform. His response to his actions was also hot and smoothly said because you’re right, he has nothing to hide and would react in the same manner again. The other dancer brought Yibo into his performance by flirting with him, so in my opinion he asked for it and Yibo stole the show!

I thought he was really unique and humble. But after the episode where the dancer chooses their captain, I didn’t care much for him anymore. I didn’t like how he made Wallace give him the towel first instead of the other waacker. He seems bratty. I’m surprise Wallace let Xiao Jie go and picked XB to stay.

I totally agree with your opinion about the XiaoBao "incident". Coincidentally about that dancer I also have the same opinion as you. XiaoBao is someone who is looking for attention... Ok, he got his 5 minutes of atention at Yibo's cost, time to move on. Now, why Yibo reacted the way he did? When there was this captain battle in a previous chapter WY said that when he saw ZhangYixing dancing he was so fired up he wanted to dance along with him so when Yibo's turn arrived he grabbed Yixing's shirt as an open "invitation" to battle or interact with him 'cause he explained later to Yixing, this is the way you interact on a dance battle and Yixing told Yibo "oh, I didn't knew that, until now I've never been on a dance battle before so I didn't knew what did you want from me". SO, when XiaoBao grabed WangYibo it WAS an invitation or a provocation to a dance battle so Yibo, being the super competitive guy he has always being, took the challenge and you can see for the face of the dancer that he never expected for Yibo to respond so openly and agressively. 🤣🤣 A dose of his own medicine! You should never provoke a lion! So there.

XD Yes, he got the attention but not necessarily the attention he wanted or the result he hoped for because when he inadvertently involved Yibo (I think he really didn't expect Yibo to react) he gave an opposing captain a chance to ruin his performance and instead of showing off himself, which was what the battle was about, ended up showing off Yibo and that cost him in the end that the judges did not take him into account. And then when making his video in streaming he made statements that some Yibo fans did not like, first because as you say, he gave his opinion on something that he neither knows nor concerns him because he does not know Yibo and, secondly because it does not matter what. Whatever you say, fans who dream of marrying Yibo will hate if you say he's homo and YiZhan fans will hate you if you say he's straight. XD Anyway, there is no way to please anyone and XiaoBao said both things to save himself and did not finish pleasing anyone.

No one will put the piece of vid where the dancer apologized to yi bo for the provocation later. It was there in ep 9 part 3. No one is at fault here. They both were just being professional.
He approached Yibo as he was watching on. To it's more like a confrontation in the dance movement since they weren't in the same group. It more I'm stepping on your tuff. So Yibo steps up to the Chellenge and takes him on he was trying to dis Wang Yibo it just prove that the dance was enhance even more by our Master of Art. Like you have mentioned, since both Yibo and that guy are not in the same team, it is completely natural to be competitive. I don't see why anyone would take it out of the context. As a fan of Yibo, we are aware of how competitive he is. Yibo is very talented and a person of good heart. I wish him success in everything he does.
Such kind of provocation is part of the waacking culture. Actually Waackers have a tendency to do this. Play the field like that, suppress the other dancer. It makes them look powerful and stand out in a battle. It adds to the sassy and explosive element of the dance.
And Xiao Bao is a veteran who tried to do the same to Yibo. But Yibo reacted immediately suppressing Xiao Bao back. His speed of reaction, boldness and strategic thinking (like make Xiao Bao waste time) made it so that Yibo turned the tables on Xiao Bao.

YiBo’s reaction is not surprising. He has always been competitive when it comes to games, and it seems especially so when it’s a dance battle. I remember in one episode of DDU, he had a dance battle. Initially he was cordial but the guy initiated a challenging gesture right to his face. YiBo retaliated immediately aggressively in his dance. The guy felt challenged and wanted to retaliate but DDU brothers stepped in to stop the battle. So YiBo’s aggressive retaliation doesn’t come as a surprise frankly. Now, to go on live stream and make a unsubstantiated insinuation on another person’s orientation is a low blow and tasteless. Even if YiBo goes the other way, that’s his personal life and choice. Nobody has right to act pretentiously on live stream to throw shade about him. At no point did YiBo do that to Xiao Bao. He explained that he did that to disturb Xiao Bai’s dance momentum which I found to be acceptable. After all, YiBo is the captain of a competitor team. Why should he, a captain of another dance team, allow himself to be used by competitor in the dance battle?

What happened is so common in dance circles like this. You rattle your opponent by forcing them to gay panic. You drag them out of their comfort zone so when it’s their turn, they don’t really know where to start, and they won’t get too close to you to clown you. The thing is, with people that are dance battle veterans, they’ve seen this a million time before and they know how it goes. The only way to fight back is to flip the script and make them uncomfortable. Yibo is a veteran; he’s been dancing for more than half his life. Him standing up, latching on, and chasing him was just Yibo wasting the other guy’s time on the floor and ruining his flow. It has nothing to do with sexually and everything to do with Yibo being a hyper competitive Leo.

During the hotpot scene, Zhang Meng asked Yibo what he was thinking when Xiao Bao went up to him because it seemed like he wanted "war" or to battle.
In summary, Yibo said as long as he is near me, then I'll make sure that he can't leave. If he comes to me to challenge me, then ok, I'll make sure he can't go back. Since he's here, he can waste all of his time on me.
Actually...I saw ..Bo explain it clearly in that..hot pot episode...just before "the dancer "make those controversy live steaming ... so....it really trigger lot mess...😔😔😔😔...look like Bo take extra time to take care this too.

Same! I saw the hotpot episode. It's exactly what Yibo would do. He is very competitive, and it was kinda fun watching him torture and sweat Xiao Bao. It was a dance battle and he choose Yibo thinking that he could win but Yibo picked up the thrown gauntlet and challenge him back. So when the other guy moved away in my opinion he lost.

I really like Xiao Bao. I was actually so happy that he was brought back by Hanliang. And his entire thing on the show is a character more than just over confidence. But I agree with you that it can come off as too much and annoying because he does like to get attention. And regarding that whole moment with Yibo, I totally agree with you. He was being competitive and at that moment he was just, ya know, arguing with his body. It`s adance show, and he is a dancer, he will speak through his body and that is just great for the show.
Xiao Bao went on livestream to talk about Yibo's sexuality because shippers attacked Yibo after that dance not understanding the style of Waacking or voguing. So he was defending him; even on XB's own posts on weibo ppl said inappropriate stuff. I like him because he's a character and he can help Wallace with choreography. But like you said everyone has their own opinion which is perfectly fine. Btw I watched that dance portion quite a few times, first because I thought it was epic and I knew of how voguing battles worked and then just to see ppl's reactions which were hysterical. I love this show and am proud of gremlin and all of the dancers are amazing. Have respect for all captains as well. 💚💚💚

If by "shippers" you mean BJYX fandom, they never have done anything wrong against Yibo, even on contrary they're so chill unless you do sth against Yizhan. and If you mean the XiaoBao's fandom, what on earth can they even do in front of Yibo's fans which are consisted of two very huge & empowered fandoms in the whole China's mainland? The situation got bold because XiaoBao directly talked about BJYX on his fandom's Wechat and its screenshots got spread. further, said "don't ship men with men, don't ship me with Yibo but ship with Yixing and Wallace" (isn't it so hilarious?) and also indirectly talked about Yibo's sexuality on those chats (which is not his place to talk about at all ! who tf he thinks he is?) and add this all up to his live !! he wanted to twist the situation for himself's good (even his friends came said some bs to get benefit from this situation) he crossed some lines, That's why our fandoms got outraged "It was fun, but now, just sit down." he basically got afraid of fans, otherwise wouldn't even stop it. (just see how dramatic he is talking about the way Yibo grabbed him? what he was expecting then after going and provoking him? whether waacking or not, you have to expect the other side's reaction too after challenging in SD).

Second- people are so sensitive these days... you think waaaay too much. This is free style/street dance, when someone challenges you, you will not back down! Yibo is the type of person who will not allow you to win just like that- you challenged him, you will get what you asked for. He did what he did for the battle, not out of his personality or rudeness. Comparing, you can see Yibo’s reaction speed, experience and the understanding of waacking etc are all at a professional level.That’s how battles are. People need to understand it first, then think for a while, and then start talking/ writing.
I think that every fan solo or not must respect people's privacy and not interfere in people's lives. I don't know about you, but I will feel really uncomfortable if someone talks / gossips about my sexuality, even if i know it myself and i am sure of it. I don't think we, as his fans, have the right to talk about this and make things worse. Because we are the people who talk from left to right about different things, even if we are joking around, but there are many people on the Internet who don't know him and don't know everything and start to form an opinion about him based on our stories.... For those who made comments about Xiao Bao’s live broadcast. Xiao Bai stated that Yibo is a straight man and not happy to be shipped with another man because during his broadcast Xiao Bao was attacked by many bjyx cp fans. As for Yibo’s reaction during dance, he explained it in the follow up captain hotpot program, that was a tactic during battle to control the opponent and to make him wasting his allowable time.

I don't know if this happened later, but Yibo's explanation part of the video was cut. I know he talks about it in the Let's chat/Hot pot episode after this. And he basically said what you did, that the dancer was a rival team dancer that got in his face, so he stopped him from moving, to waste some of his time and to make a point. He even demonstrates to Jackson, I think, how he did it. He was a little enthusiastic during most of this season, I don't think he overreacted, especially because of his previous battle experience. And he knew how the other professional dancers would see it as a challenge and he has a well documented history of not taking challenges, especially dance challenges, lying down.

It's a battle. It's part of the game. Wang Yibo knows the scene well and participated in some battles. He knows the rules of the game and he retaliated in a fun and respectful way just like Xiao Bao did. There's no such thing as a too confident dancer.

Slight different perspective as to why Xiao Bao made that comment in his live stream. Due to the way Chinese media is. It's not seen as ok to be gay especially for a male artist who is in the lime light like Yibo. I really liked you’re video. You came right to the point, which is the truth of what happened and how Wang Yibo seems to be. I thought the move Yibo made was absolutely “hot” and very smooth which comes naturally to him if you’ve ever watched him perform. His response to his actions was also hot and smoothly said because you’re right, he has nothing to hide and would react in the same manner again. The other dancer brought Yibo into his performance by flirting with him, so in my opinion he asked for it and Yibo stole the show!

I totally agree with your opinion about the XiaoBao "incident". Coincidentally about that dancer I also have the same opinion as you. XiaoBao is someone who is looking for attention... Ok, he got his 5 minutes of atention at Yibo's cost, time to move on. Now, why Yibo reacted the way he did? When there was this captain battle in a previous chapter WY said that when he saw ZhangYixing dancing he was so fired up he wanted to dance along with him so when Yibo's turn arrived he grabbed Yixing's shirt as an open "invitation" to battle or interact with him 'cause he explained later to Yixing, this is the way you interact on a dance battle and Yixing told Yibo "oh, I didn't knew that, until now I've never been on a dance battle before so I didn't knew what did you want from me". SO, when XiaoBao grabed WangYibo it WAS an invitation or a provocation to a dance battle so Yibo, being the super competitive guy he has always being, took the challenge and you can see for the face of the dancer that he never expected for Yibo to respond so openly and agressively. 🤣🤣 A dose of his own medicine! You should never provoke a lion! So there.

@@helloyibo85 I remember that battle because to me, the fact that Yibo so insistently grabbed Yixing's shirt was also weird since I didn't know anything about street dance. XD Yes, he got the attention but not necessarily the attention he wanted or the result he hoped for because when he inadvertently involved Yibo (I think he really didn't expect Yibo to react) he gave an opposing captain a chance to ruin his performance and instead of showing off himself, which was what the battle was about, ended up showing off Yibo and that cost him in the end that the judges did not take him into account. And then when making his video in streaming he made statements that some Yibo fans did not like, first because as you say, he gave his opinion on something that he neither knows nor concerns him because he does not know Yibo and, secondly because it does not matter what. Whatever you say, fans who dream of marrying Yibo will hate if you say he's homo and YiZhan fans will hate you if you say he's straight. XD Anyway, there is no way to please anyone and XiaoBao said both things to save himself and did not finish pleasing anyone.

I think he got exactly what he deserved...If you want to take on Yibo, then expect to be taken down. You cannot issue a challenge like this in a dance battle with an opposing team captain and expect them to be passive about it. He approached Yibo as he was watching on. To it's more like a confrontation in the dance movement since they weren't in the same group. It more I'm stepping on your tuff. So Yibo steps up to the Chellenge and takes him on he was trying to dis Wang Yibo it just prove that the dance was enhance even more by our Master of Art. Like Yibo said he made the dance more powerful my scarf goes to Wang Yibo he. Lesson be learned don't ever step up to if you have no back up your gonna get burn.
