    Hi Ms. Emily. Get well soon. I'm a nurse here in the US for 26 yrs now. When I first started working here, I also worked night shift. I worked four 12 hr shift straight, just like you. A nurse's job is never easy, but bc I was young and just getting started, I pushed myself to work. Then I also got sick and that's when I realized that I'm more important than my work. I have to prioritize my own good first, bc just like what you said, your work can always get a replacement for you. Work will go on even you're not there. So don't give ALL of yourself to work. I tell myself that I work to live and not the other way around (I do not live to work). I'm glad to hear your realizations on this vlog. We learn so many things as we go along in life. Take care always and God bless you. You are an inspiration to so many of your viewers.

    I’ve been in Cambridge City UK for the last 20 years as Senior Carer. Before as Domiciliary Carer, now as live-in carer. Mahirap ang buhay dito sa UK lalo na kung kasama mo pamilya mo. Stressful, kasi kailangan mag trabaho ka ng husto. Minsan wla knang time mag relax trying to meet both ends. I’m 64 yrs. old now pero sa awa ng Diyos, maayos pa ako health wise, still have time to go to the gym almost everyday. Isa lang katawan natin na ibinigay ng Diyos kya ingatan natin at mahalin sarili natin. Pagaling ka kabayan. Pera lang yan, mas importante health mo lalo kasama mo pamilya mo.

    Huwag masyado lagi out of town trip lalo na nasa winter season. Surprisingly, bata ka at lagi nkasakit best way mgpa check up especially blood work. You need time for relaxation kahit sa bahay buti nga hindi ka ng commute locally. Duty at night has nothing to do, ikaw mismo mg adjust may time needed to recover to sleep.

    Just a godly advice , I used to have that problem and I live in US with 4 seasons. Until The Lord dealt with me regarding taking test in Him. 6 days we work but we need to give chance to our body to recuperate and not abuse our God given body . Our body is also dedicated to him when we turned our lives to Him. Rest is part of God’s covenant. When I understood what God meant in the Holy scripture, As we honor His covenant He blesses us with healing , good health and peace of mind. Just a reminder. Sis. Put God’s commands in doing your work. If possible ail to put the most important thing in life. This world is fading away. Retire early if you can. And give the remaining healthy years of your life to serve Him. I retired at 50 and went back to Ph as the Lord instructed me and I don’t regret it Sarap msg serve freely sa kanya in your best years no stress

    Additionally sis yun pagbubuhat at pag repositioning mo ng mga patient nyo magkakaroon ka problem sa tendons at muscles mo, usually magstart sa kamay mo, back pain at heel spur kasunod kase nagbubuhat ka din base ito sis sa experience ko

    In Germany, pag uubo-ubo ka you cannot work. You're paid even for 1 month. You have to cure it first. You're still young, take life easy don't worry. Health is the most important in life after God & family. Pls take care sis. Warm clothes is necessary. Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!.❤❤❤❤

    Kung magseself medicate Po tayo mas mabuti pa un mga herbs Ang itake tulad ng onion,garlic,ginger.at higop lng lagi ng mainit na sabaw,like tomato soup, onion soup, chicken soup.panlaban Po Yan sa virus.wala pang side effects🤗

    Ganyan din nangyari sa akin Sis last month 4days akong di nakapasok sa work.Dry cough as in halos di na ako makahinga kc sunod sunod na pag ubo.Sabay nanghihina buong katawan ko pero wala akong lagnat.Tumawag lang kami sa 111,ayun nag prescribe ng antibiotic ung GP gumaling naman ako awa ng Dios🙏.Basta winter na dito sa UK di pwedeng di ako ubohin or siponin.Pero gumagaling naman.

    Naranasan ko rin yan nong nasa hospital duty ako 21 night shift, bumagsak immune system ko, ubo talaga tumama sa akin at sadya kailangan n mag p doctor, npaka dry cough. Antibiotic niresatahan din ako co amoxiclab hayyy .. hirap n masarap ang buhay Cg. Maalwan nga pag nightshift kado puyat kalaban.. tama po kayo..

    Ang work is nandyan lang po pero ang kalusugan natin mahalaga. Ako din almost a decade nagwowork as care worker mixed clinic, hospital and nursing home pero once may sakit ay di ako pumasok kasi iniisip ko din mga pasyente mahawaan ko pero sa awa ng Diyos less than 5 absences lang ako kaya lagi ko dasal na di bale lumiban at tao lang din tayo. Kahit my pasok importante ang tamang oras ng tulog, disiplina sa pgkain at ehersisyo. Importante ang malusog at mgampanan ng maayos ang lahat. Health is wealth, Miss Emily. Ingat po ang lahat.     sa kin po kapag ganyan may dry cough ako or sipon iniinuman ko ng lemon at luya tea 2 liters po mag hapon kasi yun lang pinaka water ko. pagka kulo ng tubig remove ko na po sya sa heat then habang mainit pa saka ko ihahalo ang malaki na luya na dinikdik at lemon or kalamansi,wag isasama ang mga buto kasi papait ang tsaa. tapos hayaan naka babad ng 30 minutes then saka ko na sya iinumin. kahit malamig na pwede pa din inumin. masarap po sa lalamunan at maginhawa po after 1 or 2 days ok na po pakiramdam ko. share ko lang po 😅 kasi hindi masyadong effective sa akin ang pah inom daily ng vitamin c mas mainam pa rin po pala ang natural,ang dame ng lemon is depende po sa inyu kung may acid reflux mainam na half lemon lang sa 1 liter,both of them are source of vitamin c luya at lemon at gagawin na ordinary tubig po sa maghapon

    Hi Emily, because your working in a facility with elderly people, you 😂will catch and get everything that they have, like pneumonia, flu, cough, bedbugs sa skin kase nasa isang place lang kayo, it happened to me here in the UNIted States, I worked as a caregiver sa isang facility, every six months nagkakasakit ako , malaki sana kita at marami hours peto ang immune system ko sobra huminq kaya napilitan akonmagresign, peto okay na ko ngayon 1 year na ko wala doon at napansin ko my immune system is getting stronger hindi ako nagkakasakit, pero kung hindi ka makapgresign talaga just take vitamins and flu shot, but for me khitbnq magtake qko lahat nyan hindi sya nagwowork nahahawa pa rin ako kase nga nasa isang facilitu lang kami, but take care of yourself, kung may ibang work opporutinity na hindi ka maeexpose sa work in future grab it, in fact magtataka ka hindi naman nalabas masyado mga client mo elderly pero nagkakasakit sila, ang mga workers din nagdadala sa loob ng sakit kahit simpleng cold and cough makakacatch ng mga client na elderly tapos dahil mahina din immune system nila tapos ikaw na nagaalaga mahahaw ka din sa kanila tapos iikot ikoy na yun sakit sa nursing home kaya on and off sakit mo based ito sa experience ko sis, dati din sis hindi ako sakitin nagstart lang nun punasok ako nursing home

    salamat po sa pgshare ng experience nio po unahin po talaga ang health at yan nren po gagawin ko kasi night shift caregiver den po ako dto sa japan sa isang facility mg-isa lang po ako sa 20 katao wala nurse at doc pag me emergency tulungan nalang kada floor isa staff kasi….mgsstop nren po ako night shift baka sakali makabuo naren kme ni hubby…God bless po🙏😇Adv Meri Xmas po❤

    Miss Emily, listen to your body. You need to rest. Ito ang kailangan mo... Kahit na sa bed ka you need to recuperate don't think na dapat may ginagawa ka.
    Based on study our life expectancy is shorten when we worked on nights. During night time na natutulog tayo nag recuperate ang katawan natin kasi hindi normal na matulog during day time. Kaya nga mas mataas ang bayad NG night shift.

      @@eugeniapurple9878 I agree po. Nag duty ako dati 9 years sa NOC shift dito sa U.S. bumaba din ang immune system ko at palagi ako may facial rashes. Ngayon day shift na ako mas maganda pakiramdam sa katawan.

    Maaaring may Allergy, Sinusitis, Post Nasal Drip at Asthma ka kaya ka sinisipon at inuubo. Yan ang meron ako simula ng lumipat ako sa malamig na state. Mas mabuti ang magpa-consult ka sa Allergist at ENT doctor. 😊

    Subukan mo ng Nasal Irrigation. Uminom ka lagi ng hot tea with honey and lemon. Mag-cough drops ka rin para sa throat irritation. Mag-gargle ka rin ng warm water with salt. Pag lumalabas ka magtakip ka ng scarf sa mukha para hindi mo ma-inhale yung cold air. Minsan yan ang cause ng mga sysmptoms mo.😊

    Sis, believe me or not.... this is me too, since I arrived in this country. Thing with the uk is yung araw, bihira lumabas in a year, and that massively affect our daily health, especially sa VITAMIN D. kahit nag susupllement nako nyan from Holland and Barrett, kulang pa rin talaga... and now that you mention about your night shift, malaki talaga ang affect nyan sa health natin 😢

    Miss Emily,all health workers are entitled to receive free flu jab ,and covid vaccine it’s given October time,your immune system still adapting and with the Unpredictable British weather. Plenty of warm fluids not coffee,I can share you some tips ,have one big fresh orange on daily basis while you have the flu ,also fresh ginger,honey ,lemon in a mug of water. Avoid milk if you can whilst you have the flu you produce more phlegm, get better soon and Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎉🎉

Dapat yearly ang check up natin especially your Complete Blood Count (CBC), bone profile, liver test, kidney test and thyroid check. Hindi normal kung laging nagkakasakit ka. Focus on your health kasi kapag may serious disease ka huli na ang lahat. Kapag magaling ka take vitamin D3 with K2 kasi hindi tayo naaarawan. Dito sa Vancouver , Canada same hindi tayo naarawan.     Hello po Ms. Emily and family. Sorry, ngayon lang uli ako naka panood ng vlog mo kasi, nag bakasyon kami sa pilipinas ng 2 weeks at pag balik ko dito sa Australia ay nag kasakit din ako. Inuubo din ako at sinipon. Nag pa doctor ako at sabi ay may infection daw ako at binigyan ako ng dalawang klase ng anti biotic. Naulanan kasi ako sa maynila. Pati iyong asawa ko nahawa na rin. Ngayon lang araw na eto ang medyo okey na ako. Kaya ngayon lang talaga ako naka panood ng mga vlogs mo. Pagaling ka rin. May kasabihan nga na “ Busog ang bulsa lubog naman ang mata. Take good care of yourself. We are not getting any younger. Mabuti ka 35 plus ka palang eh! Ako 62 Senior na! Sabi nga nila Health is wealth. Mag ingat palagi. Godbless to you and your family.
