Definitely the Ola scooty guy is acting like a THUG, and is at fault. Most people driving on roads nowadays have a Short fuse and get angry very easily just because of Honking. That's the reason I have started using Horn as less as possible and prefer to let people pass me while driving. Even when I use the horn I use short beeps instead of continuously pressing the horn especiallyinside the city. Better to adopt a Passive, Slow and Safe driving approach to keep ourselves safe.
I currently live in Bengaluru and have faced similar incidents over the last few weeks. I have a non Karnataka number and many-a-times locals try to bully other state people due to this. Now, I have finally decided to leave bengaluru. Probably I will get thrashed by KA/BLR folks in the comments here, but the truth is that after living in almost 9 states over the last 15 years, I have faced worst behavior for being an outsider only in Bengaluru. People here drive like goons and even if they are wrong, they will start blaming you and will hurl abuses even if we have kids in the car. Not a very civilized city (while I have made friends with a lot of locals, who are very nice), the people driving on roads need to be trained on driving and civic sense.
You're not the only one sir, a recent spike has been seen in Bangalore. Alot of road bullying has been taking place, few locals considering themselves goons and I really dont understand what difference does it make being from other state, its your own countrymate. Lets leave that for other day but all I would say is take care and be safe sir!

Why do you have a non Karnataka plate in the first place, if you are staying here for more than 90 days you need to pay Karnataka RTO road tax get your number plate changed or if you keep moving lot get BH number plate, so firstly you have broken the law just that punishment was given by non judicial manner😂😂😂

Banglore is city of lot of frustrated people especially lower middle class of locals and they do it in frustration of not getting higher paying but lower paying jobs. Such people do not realise that huge tax collected by govt from IT industry and consumption of high end products by their employees makes their coffer comfortable to make Bangalore a good city. The behaviour is also reflected in industries around Bangalore where employees are arrogant and expect salaries like IT

I think the main reason is that the locals feel that people from other states are taking away their jobs and resources. What they do not realise is that influx of good professionals is bringing business and money into their states. Take out Bangalore from the equation. What is there in Karnataka? Agriculture? Tourism? You are correct, even same thing happened with me on same road, some car drivers drive rashly in this route. Even if they hit any 2 wheelers they dont care at all. Just they take a one sided video and post. They dont even stop the car and check what happened to the 2 wheeler riders. Theses things happen in this route, Balagere to Varthur. Need some cameras on road so that fake complaints can be reduced.

First of all this road is from kundalahalli VIBGYOR school to Panathur road, car drivers drive rashly in this route. Dont spread fake news...Car drivers are bloody hell in this route.

Bangalore police mostly never take action or are always in favor of the locals. Unless and until pressure is put on them they are not going to take any action. Hope the car driver gets justice and payment for car repair.
For people who think Bangalore has become worst due to the locals, it’s just the east Bangalore parts(like Sarjapur,Bellandur,Whitefield,etc.).Most of the locals over there aren’t even from this state.Even these locals wouldn’t consider other Bangalore locals as their brothers, they too fight among themselves.They come from different states of India and have stayed here in Bangalore for a very long time. Hence due this they call themself as “locals”. I am not a Bangalore local but I am from Udupi(for those who don’t know where is Udupi-it is in coastal region of Karnataka, 60kms from Mangaluru)and speak Kannada but trust me we too get these type of treatment from local drivers including autos and taxis. In almost all road rage incidents in Bangalore which are seen in recent times are from East Bangalore only. Rest Bangalore is still in peace. TRUST ME, NEVER GET INTO A VERBAL SPAT WITH LOCALS, AUTO GUYS OR TAXIS, these people have the courage to fight only because they have a backup team.
For people blaming Karnataka for this, do visit Coastal Karnataka. The locals are civilised and behave well. Hence, there are very less road rage. In fact the autos there too take a good care of you as if you are their guest and treat you respectfully.

they even have spat with the uber and ola drivers, i remember waiting outside shantiniketan mall for my uber ride, the auto parked outside kept nagging me to go with him for ₹400 (uber taxi was itself ₹200), when i mentioned i ordered an uber he got pissed and started saying smthing angrily in kannada
and then the uber driver came like 30 seconds later, and he started arguing with him and hitting the windshield, the uber driver gestured me to come inside quick and then drove off

helmet strap lele + gopro, only way to get a secure camera, other wise you have to get a camera mount installed on your bike's rear or front and it has high chances of getting stolen too, so helmet camera is best option

Lesson of this video by prateek bhai is as follows :
1. Don't get out of the car , lock all of the doors & simultaneously pull up all of the windows .
Car is sort of a barrier between U & them ( goondas/thiefs ) .
No need to protect the car . Let it get all of the dent , danda s on your behalf . Insurance will take care of it . Simple.
What you have to do while all of this is happening is ' look arround you ' for escape paths or move the car back or forward like that of movie stars & push those cars that are blocking your path in forward or backward direction till enough room is made and floor the accelerator. If any goonda comes under your car wheels don't give a damn and after escaping from that spot find a police station and file fir or surrender if you really did crush some badguys .
If you have a suv with enough ground clearance then jump the median .
2. FIT A DASHCAM . If you can afford a 9 lakh car then spend a bit more like under ₹15,000 on a good quality dash cam. Prateek bhai is like ' sasura bolbol ke gala bait gaya par admilog ko koi farak nai ! '

Nothing justifies the scooter rider's behavior. And who the hell are you to decide who is welcome in Bangalore and who is not. You are not the owner of Bangalore. Such behavior will only bring bad image to kannadiga people. It's only you kannadigas who go around bullying people from other states in the name of language, outsider and north-south. Come to the north, you won't find people bullying you for speaking a different language or belonging to a different state. Nobody is treated or discriminated against as outsider in the northern states. It's predominantly a kannadiga phenomenon

Obviously, the scooter guy's behavior was not acceptable but if you look at it unbiasedly, there was debris on the left lane and there is no way the scooter guy could ride in that lane. The car guy zooms past almost hitting him which must have triggered the scooter guy. The car guy needs to understand that two-wheelers can lose balance on that debris and should have maintained proper distance. You can clearly see that the scooter guy really wanted to give way but couldn't due to the debris on the left lane and when he approached a bit clear left lane, there was an auto in left lane so he kept on riding in the middle. In my opinion he must have kept riding in the right lane properly until the left lane was clear coz even if you are riding a two-wheeler, you have full right to a full lane.

Bangalore is a kind of place where the rule which drivers always follow,"All other drivers except you don't know how to drive or ride" is quite literal.
The rule is a rather crude way of telling ourselves to be aware of our surroundings on the road but with Bangalore this applies to the dot.
The biggest idiots on the road imo are the auto drivers. They drive as if they own the road and take it at insane speeds. If you're a rapido bike rider, they bully you to the point of making you quit.
Recently I had a near similar incident where I almost got T-boned on my bike by an auto had I been even a few inches ahead. To this day I'm grateful that I ride at slightly slow speeds and use the horn during turns or else I would've been in a near fatal crash despite wearing a helmet and a good riding jacket. Even after confronting him he started threatening saying he's part of a gang and the police is under him and all. I unfortunately didn't put my phone on recording since it had issues otherwise I would have shared it too here.
To summarize, to all the car drivers and also the bike riders, my humble request is to use a dashcame/helmet or body cam. And to all the riders, please wear a full jacket, it's better to sweat badly than to end up with huge scars and surgeries for skin grafts. These bozos called auto drivers won't ever change but we need to protect ourselves at least and have proof (God forbid) in case of an accident.
Bangalore and so called kanadikans don't try this nonsense with UP And HR guys they will teach you a lesson which you will remember throughout your life , Never stop car in such situation

I feel the car guy shud had more patience. He chose the wrong spot for overtaking the Ola guy. The road was narrow, muddy, cracked.. seems the Ola guy was jus about to overtake that auto, whn that moment, this car guy made the dash.. was a close call for ola guy, hence he got pissed off.
I think car driver was overtaking in a very narrow gap close to the two wheeler driver that's why, he almost hit the auto too. But ola driver rage wasn't justified considering you shouldn't attack driver of a bigger vehicle cause you never know how crazy the driver of bigger vehicle would be.
I stay there only, I am afraid to drive there because of these goons. No traffic rules nothing. They get angry even if u honk before overtaking.
And then comes the water tankers and auto walas. The auto walas will block the road from opposite side. Then they will threaten u if u ask them to move. This place is a mess.
The roads are horrible.
It's not like the police don't take action . Our courts always release them . The police can only arrest them and not punish them it's the job of the court who always releases them because of lack of evidence or we can say by using loop holes which are present in our law . And criminal lawyers are very good at it.

2)The ola driver had no where to go in between the auto and the car, here the car driver made a mistake not slowing down.
3) What the Ola driver did at the end is not right.

Similar incident with a friend in Bangalore, the cops did not take any action. A person on a scooty blocked the way, and when he got to a broader road and overtook, the person overtook and tried to block him, he was able to get away, and similarly another car tried to block his way less than 100 mt away.
