Not bad this one. Just a story. But I think we would not reveal nearly as much. Leave the would be conquerors wondering. Let them think that there is many times more they didn't reveal. Then use the captured vessels to prepare for the next time someone tries stupid. Then contact any other civilizations in the databases on the ships to offer help preparing as well. The empire would fall to internal forces. Possibly militarily, but probably to a reorganization where tyranny is no longer in control.
