It’s hard to reconcile the two verses in the gospel that say that everyone who touched Jesus was healed with the idea that not all who call on the name of the Lord would be healed. I can attest that it is the hardest things in my life which have lead me to the deepest intimacy with Christ. Some of the people I know who follow Jesus the closest have mysterious illnesses with no explanation and no solutions. I think the balance lies in trusting Jesus as your healer whether or not you see that healing in the physical realm. I thank God that I am healed and whole and those areas of my health which disagree, I just remind those areas that I trust God more than I trust my symptoms. To God be all the glory both in our health and in our infirmity.
