Just watched this again while working on a Charlies Parker and finding several points of application - and then there's always the exception of just grabbing a phrase somewhere "in between" and finding that it lays really nicely on the neck as a hybrid - and the reference to the keyboard is a great visual. Once again, you've broken this down into bite size pieces of know-how that make a real difference in playing....now off to diagonal bebop scales!
Thank you! I am a subscriber and I have all of the books you suggested in this video. I have gotten through Berklee 1 and a bit of Berklee 2. But it has been a long time and I've forgotten so much. I'm going to review Book 1 and along with the materials I already have from you, try to get these arthritic fingers working again. You are a great teacher Marc and I've learned a lot from you!
have you ever seen "how i met your mother"? you really look like marshall eriksen one of the characters... anyway great lesson man, love your videos. thank you for this!
