If you look on the inside of the legs there are 3 holes for the different heights, there will be what looks like a silver button, which locks the legs in place, sticking out of one of holes on each side, just press these in and slide the legs to the height you want until the silver button pops out to lock the legs in place, remember to do both sides at the same time.
Well the legs do fold in so it would be called a folding table. Marketing is very tricky and is always trying to make products more than what they are.

I just bought the same exact one today at Kmart.
I bought one and liked it so much, I bought a 2nd one. Costco, $45 CDN.
These tables can run between $35 to $60. The ones that fold in half seem to be cheaper than the commercial one that doesn't fold.

I am having the same problem. To adjust these legs you have to have someone help you not one person can do it themselves. Very disappointed
