I can not even imagine harming my children for ANY reason. This is so incredibly shameful and sad. I feel so sad for that little girl. There was absolutely no reason to harm these people. I will never understand how someone’s sexuality or money or jealousy can cause people to be enraged. Even if somebody doesn’t agree with someone and their sexuality .... okay fine, whatever, it’s still none of your business. Thank God that little girl was okay. So sad.

My best friend died of an over dose near a dumpster and people walked by her for 15 hours before someone finally took a second to check on her and realise she was dead.
Now, I never walk by someone passed out or slumped over on the street - please don't walk by them either :( . I always check that they're breathing/conscious and I always carry a dose of naloxone in my bag (a drug that revives someone instantly from an opioid overdose). I could save someone else's best friend, mother, daughter, son, husband ... etc.

I see comments like yours on every video I see when true crime narrators state that a witness thought that. While I'm not getting the impression that you're criticizing, I'm genuinely confused as to why people think that's odd. It's human nature for the mind to believe that something they're seeing isn't actually what's there when something horrible happens. It's the mind's way of protecting itself. At any rate, I've never anticipated seeing a dead body and certainly hope that I never do. I don't see how that's a bad thing to not be expecting it.

The fact that they didn't just write their daughter off as dead to them shows they loved her and wanted her to be happy. I'm sure having such a huge divide between their beliefs and their daughter's life was hard for them; but it sounds like they were getting to the point of accepting it.

And why didn't they ask the person who noticed the light not working on the car to come by to the precinct and show them all suspects so they can point the person they saw?? I am so confused here. This case could have been closed on day one.

that's at i thought too, but i guess that the police didnt see any their relatives as a suspect before. there was only the 90 year old woman, apparently devastated father, and little girl living in the home with crystal and Brittany. We can rule out the daughter and grandmother nearly instantly, but i guess the police didnt believe at the time that it was Larry, because he was so devastated at the news. if they didnt have any suspects in the home, they didnt have enough concrete evidence to get a search warrant. They were only able to search the home after they found Larry's fingerprint.
