Good vlog and the scenery was great 👍 and i particularly loved the cobblestone streets.
You are a brave man taking the underpass, and like you, I thought the graffiti was awesome. A lot of hidden talent roaming the streets applying graffiti.
Thanks great comment
There is a place to the border with Turkey called Strandza National Park wich is very interesting! 🌈🛩
I will check it out thanks
You have picked one of the only dodgy places to stay in Sofia…. I lived in Bulgaria 17 years if you want any ideas of unusual places to visit. You missed much in Sofia, there’s lots to see.
Nice graffiti/art in the underpass, glad you went down there!
Great job navigating the trains and the switches, I’m not sure I could have done that. 👍
Thank you very much!
The 4 horseman in the middle are the Asen dynasty (ruled Bulgaria 12-13 century), 3 brothers (Ivan, Asen and Kaloyan) and their successor of the same dynasty Ivan Asen 2 (one of the best rullers of Bulgaria). Kaloyan (aka the Roman slayer) is the one who put the end to the 4th Crusade by destroying the latin Empire and killing it's emperor Baldwin.
Fantastic information thanks
Great video really enjoyed watching the scenery from your train ride
Glad you enjoyed it
I also love Hua Hin, walking street is calm, met an old English guy there who’s wife ran a Restaurant, he sits there every evening, forget the name but they have 2 places.
regarding the beer topic, I'm from Bulgaria as well, and the first time I moved to Sofia was so strange to see people walking around with beers and drinking it, I've seen people drinking beer in 8 am while going to work, usually in some regions in Bulgaria you can get a ticket from drinking beers in parks and public places but I guess that is not the case in Sofia.
Interesting compared to other countries I have visited happy days
Hi mate, it's a beautiful city. FYI Meco in Cyrillic is pronounced meso, and it means meat 🍖. We've lived in Bulgaria a few years but never been on the trains, they do have a reputation as you've seen, not very modern. The views are great though, probably worth a journey just for that.
Thanks for the info!
@rockettravels Mate I found one in your video a song from Red revision, it was awesome but I can't find any information on the musician/band ... do you know anything about it :) Appreciate your help... but yeh you hit a sweet spot here with this music honestly :)
music is from epidemic sound its for UA-camrs
Trams have a ticket machine, you can buy from the driver, sometimes, also you can buy at transport offices. Casinos are for money laundering. The Ramada was the Novotel when I got married in BG in 1995.
Central Railway Stations is an underpass, it also has a metro staition, but it's between bad neighbourhoods. I always choose to travel from Iskarsko Shose Railway Station because it's way cleaner. It doesn't have busses though, only trains. For me Central Railway Station is the worst part of Sofia, I don't recommend it.
Thanks for your information ℹ️
Car hire is cheap can then drive to Varna
Still waiting for a tour of the slums?
On hold due to lost footage
We call the city of Veliko Tarnovo - "Veliko" because it was a former capital of Bulgaria. Veliko means Great. Every former capital of Bulgaria which we have perserved we call "Veliko/Velika/Veliki"
Thanks for information
Street robbery, UK style is rare, pick pockets are your problem, you are safer in Bulgaria than any other Western European City.
I think the women's market refers to a place where women were allowed to shop by themselves unaccompanied by a man
Hats Off to you winging it like that, looked like an interesting trip, the street art looked interesting
Glad you enjoyed it
Love the vid mate. Nice easy watch. Looks like you’re having a ball.
Happy days
Hy Rocket
wish you all the Best.

Spent a holiday in very rural Bulgaria. Very friendly and lots to see and do. Stayed with friends of friends, a UK expat. Lamb for Sunday lunch with the twist that the was still walking around when we arrived. Communist era architecture. EU grants in the past disapeared so legend has it now paid when for example the new section of motorway can physically be seen. Some stunning countryside. Go visit and d9 not believe all you may hear.
cracking flog mr Rocket.. a well deserved beer for ya !!!
Thank you 🙏
Veliko Tarnovo means Great Tarnovo as in Great Britain, so it’s known as Great Tarnovo. There is also a town called Small Tarnovo.
Great scenery, dodgy under gorund, great grafiti. Uncle Bulgaria
The views from that train ❤.
What an experience. Thankyou for sharing these amazing experiences with us all.
Glad you enjoyed it!
