For the next challenge can you do color generator and each room is 2 different colors? It gets hard when the 2 colors don't match😂

Maybe for the next challenge you could roll numbers 1-9 twice and that's the width and length of each room; because imagine a house not being 3x3 squares but ONLY 2x7 rectangles? or 8x9 ...

1x_ rooms never work for anything including halls. A minimum should be no less than 2 to be usable space. But both numbers being randomized separately is fun. Especially since the geometric puzzling can get funky. Even more so when one length is a factor of the other.

Honestly what you probably should have done for the double bed area was have an arch connection between it and the "dressing room" or "closet" then you could double the space for that one specified area... but all the other rooms worked out. I would have made the stair area into a coat room maybe but it looks really nice.

Idk if you guys have seen them, but @CarynandConniegaming did this challenge a couple months ago and its amazing. Their twin energy is chefs kiss and they have a ton of super helpful building tricks
Yeah. Their way of making the master bedroom with the bed in 1 room, a walk *through* closet and a bathroom at the end was really a hack for the 3x3 rooms looks so good and helps with the space in the rooms.
And they made the stairs work with it up against a wall
They are so entertaining, I love their banter.

I really think you should try changing up your interior design style, like challenge yourself to do modern interior or Japanese interior design, something different. There's so many different beautiful items in the sims 4 and I feel like you've been using the same items for years
Idea… Combine all of the challenges… Spin for room size, budget, color and theme all in one… Torture but fun…

You could try doing it where each room is the same amount of tiles, that way the rooms can be different shapes!
Much like others (I apologize for adding on to it), an idea would be to make a house layout, a regular one. EXCEPT instead of furnishing it like the room was meant to be, you have to spin the wheel to furnish it with that room’s needs and furniture. For example, if it lands on ‘bathroom’ for what was originally going to be a living room space in a 6 by 5 living room; you will have a big bathroom that someone could make lUxUrIOuS or just spicy. (and yes you can land on living room when you were meant to do living in that space anyway.)
i dont think anyone has done this yet, at least i think i came up with the idea. (correct me if not please so i can give credit)
extra rules:
no placing separating walls/cant divide it up to make the need for a door/separate room.

Honestly? I love this. Even with the limited sized rooms, it's so stinking adorable. And the thing I have noticed with the double beds, at least I've had it happen a few times, is Sims will scoot to the other side. So 2 sims can still sleep in the bed just fine. It's just a matter of if the one against the wall wakes up before the other one xD

This is cute!! Though I was hoping you’d turn the stair room into an itty bitty study, with a small desk in the corner by the arch and like a bookshelf or something in the bend of the stairs. Just a little way to utilize those tiny awkward spaces. Then you could use the other study room to be a play room or walk-in closet or something! Maybe it’s an idea to keep in mind for other challenges 🤔

I have a build challenge idea: build a house that merges 2 different architectural & decorative styles. Putting like common styles on a spinner to get random combination. So it could be like an industrial style cottage & the internal style a mesh of the 2 vibes. Or a victorian gothic style suburban home, etc. Meshing 2 aesthetics that may clash or may compliment each other. Could be kinda fun. Or even choosing one aesthetic to be the architecture/ external & using the other to style the inside. Something like that

I'd have left the wall off the stairs and put a desk/pet beds under it. Then done a dressing room next to the main bedroom with a big arch so it doesn't feel so cramped. So cute though!

you should do a challenge where every furniture piece u place is random so you would sort by couches and then close ur eyes and click a random one
