If these methods doesn't work, Go to settings and search reset all settings and reset the settings. This worked for me and this doesn't reset the data.

Restart phone the USB charging goes away then plug in and it will charge some software problem I guess

Dear audience do not i repeat do not buy samsung A series phone beyond A12 as problems will on coming up no matter what . i have the same problem with my phone bought it last year in december 2022 and from last week my device is not charging i have changed the charger even restarted my phone it doesnt charge . SO DONT BUY SAMSUNG DEVICES.

In case this helps anyone, also check whether your phone is in power save mode - I set my phone to charge to 85% max. as part of this setting a while back and completely forgot, which caused no end of confusion when my new charger cables 'wouldn't charge' my phone.

I have a problem that cannot be solved - my phone will only charge if I connect it to laptop via USB cable, no other way works for me. Regular charger in a socket will not be detected, external recharge devices will be detected but my battery won't go up (stays the same). I literally have no idea what the hell is going on all of a sudden.

@@aarongabrielthomas I had to factory reset my phone and let it redownload updates and refresh the whole system once again, kept recharing battery with my laptop, after a few days it fixed itself, then messed itself up again and had to recharge via laptop, now for several days has been recharging normally via socket, I am really confused because whenever I think it's fixed there comes a day when it's screwed again as if there was some firmware problem

Did you get any solution for this problem? should I try rebooting the phone? Are you still charging battery with your laptop?

@@shivanishevale2337 It has to be some problem with a connector or battery because two weeks after I posted this I could normally charge with the charger, but since then I had to turn back to laptop recharging. The phone will either not react to the cable being plugged in or will start blinking between charging and not charging. Tried different cables, tried different adapters, sockets, everything. I am surprised samsung has not addressed this issue since hundreds of people are experiencing this. I will see how far I can go with this, planning to contact my friend at services, but considering how expensive individual components nowadays cost, I am starting to believe that I will be better of buying a new phone which sucks because the current A50 I have had for 4 years still runs smoothly

Weird thing to me is that my problem is a specific portable power bank won't charge my phone. Everything else does(Take a charge)!
