I was Eleven at the time and my Mam had died the June before I stayed in the park desperately looking for something to make sense to me. When he arrived and began the journey to the Podium I climbed over the barrier and ran after the Pope Mobil I will never forget him looking straight and me and blessing me what a Beautiful energy he had I still felt it when I saw this clip.
I still have my grey, oval sticker with H5 plus a label with my name & address in case I got lost! I was 9. I remember this experience, it was amazing. A stone's throw from where we lived, camping overnight in the field, singing along to someone's guitar playing & not wanting to use the temporary toilets!

I was there , I can remember young ones climbing over railings for a closer look and ended up fighting with police who tried to push them back
I still have my ticket :)
