What it beautiful layout! I love the way you do your videos because it’s hard to believe that these are not real full size trains - you are an amazing videographer. Salutation de France

The first layout was definitely my favourite, I could spend hours watching the trains going past on that, there were plenty of different layouts on display I didn't manage to film all of them as I was running out of memory, thanks for watching. Tom

I’m a OO gauge modeller, but that 1st N gauge layout was excellent. Fantastic detail 👍👍

It was certainly the star of the show in my opinion I could have spent hours watching trains running up and down on that layout, thanks for watching. Tom

Does anyone remember the model railway exhibition that used to be held at the Metropolitan cathedral in Liverpool in the early 90s?. I remember going once to it in September 1991. I don't think they ever held it there again.

i dont remember the cathedral but i remember it being at merchant taylors in crosby when i was little in the mid 90s and then at arch bishop blanch school in the early 2000s

@@northwesttrainsmodels Thanks for that. Yeah I'm sure it was at the Metropolitan cathedral in Liverpool, or close to it but no idea how long they held the exhibition there for whether it was the once. I have home video of it, could upload it sometime, maybe some people on it you may recognise. There was also a mode exhibition near Leigh, I think it was held at the Civic Hall at Lowton, again this was about 1990, again not sure if they ever held it there again as I only went the once. The show we often used to go to was at Wigan and Leigh College which I think they still have every year around December time.

@@northwesttrainsmodels Just to add, that the exhibition I mentioned in Liverpool at the catherdral was held on the 15th Sept 1990. We caught the train from Bryn station near Wigan and came back on the train from Lime St with a Class 47 diesel on the back (no. 47 450) named "Blackbuck". Abit unusual for them to run a service with a Class 47 on the end even in the early 90s, so maybe this was some kind special service they were running that day. I'm surprised noone remembers this exhibition taking place.

@@Embracing01 am sure there will be some that will remember I don't as I was only 2 years old at the time 😂, I do remember going to the barry stockton train fairs in the hotel next to lime Street in the 90s

What about 00 gauge? Or wasn't there space to show that? No offence, mate, but I love to see pristine steamies of every gauge flying along with shiny coaches in tow. Yes, they do need to go slow and stop when they come to a station. A pristine model steamy in full cry is what grabs a crowd's attention in my book.

Joining a club cost me a fortune because suddenly, my three coach trains that looked ok at home, needed to be much longer. I agree, pulling 8-12 coaches looks the business. I am going to run a 16 coach ambulance train in the next week or so (they were 16 coaches in WWI) on our club layout as it is 36 feet crowd side. I just hope my Midland Compound will cope with the load.

I really liked the Large n gauge layout , seeing full size trains running through the country side, there was a very nice mix of layouts there and a really good show, am of to the leigh show next week might be more layouts there to your taste with large steam locos, keep an eye out
