That's why I tell people the ending is depending on how do you think of Tony. If you want him to suffer, then the cut to black is nothing, he went home, sleep, keep on living until his inevitable downfall as a mob boss comes. Carmella is going to leave him for it with all the money is taken away, Meadow and AJ wouldn't be able to do anything about it either. To rub salt to the injury, Meadow studied law to help her dad, but at this rate, Tony's done for. Or if you feel bad for Tony for all he went through, then he got his brain blown out in front of his family. A bloody but quick and merciful end. Carmella and the kids would mourn him, but they'll move on. If the kids are smart, they will never ever going involved with mob business again, especially Meadow.

Didn't say she didn't love the kids, but if the kids were her main priority, she would have left Tony long ago. I can't see Carmella visit him in prison either but I can see the kids visiting their dad behind her back. Say, he gets out 20 years later, Tony would find nothing for him outside. His gang was already in a miserable bunch of old thugs so I doubt they'd be in business. Even if they somehow survive, Tony would still have zero pulls in it since all the old guards are likely dead and he was already on the verge of getting disposed near the end of S6. Hell, he might get to taste his own medicine like how he made Junior believe he ran the gang if the new guys even bother to humor him.

The last 9 episodes of this show were so goddamn good. The last 5 episodes blew me away. I'll never see another show finish on such a high note. The action and tension between Jersey and New York and within Tony's family were such an incredible way to close out the best show I'll ever watch.
Well it was early in the morning after all *it's always empty around that time*, I don't think they'd of shut down the Bing even for a few months as it's a giant revenue stream for them-more importantly it's a lowkey HQ and a way to launder a lot of money-if Tony made it out of his coma I like to think Silvio definitely did at some point, and seeing as I'm confident Tony wasn't nonsensically killed at the end he comes back running the Bing and as T's consigliere :)

So more and more of them turned to drug dealing, and cut deals when caught, each taking another line of business down with them.
Not if Carlo thought his life was in danger. And also if the feds thought they had all they need to indict Tony then there's no reason to endanger Carlo by putting him back on the street.
I Don't think Carlo was going to be an active informant. Because of his sons arrest I believe he promised to give a sworn testimony on everything he did with Tony. About a loose gf that bangs guys one after the other. One overlooked aspect of Chase's sopranos is the sound. Great things going on all the time and not just the music. Those bass and drums through the walls at the bing used for suspense. Paulie's godfather car horn. His ringtone. And of course the use of his beloved rock songs for so many plot twists. He and Gandolfini were at the top if their arc during the sopranos. Not spider.

The desperation in this scene is real. It's very possible that NY played him and that they're still out for blood. At the same time, Carlo possibly flipping would send Tony to prison for likely the rest of his life. Lastly, with the exception of Paulie all of the closest people in Tony's inner circle over the years are dead. The world that Tony has fashioned for himself is now closing in on him like a vice.

I just rewatched the show and Carlo may be my least favorite character. He's the biggest cheerleader for killing Veto (before anything is even confirmed), gets his job (how convenient), still talks shit to Tony about him as he's being promoted (when its clear Tony's not happy he had to make this decision), blames Sil IMMEDIATELY after Tony finds out about Fat Dom, can bring in any money from a crew that flourished under the last two capos (Ralph and Vito), then flips at the first sign of trouble

Tony had never spent time in the can, not really. He also showed throughout the series that he didn't exactly follow all the mob rules as a boss, and of course everyone knew he talked to a therapist. Plus, NY, especially after Jon was gone, really didn't have any respect for Tony as a boss or as a legit family. What did Tony have left at the end of the series? There's like two high ranking members left and a capo just flipped, pretty reasonable to expect Tony would flip, especially after they just saw their former boss Jon admit to being int he mafia.

About a loose gf that bangs guys one after the other. One overlooked aspect of Chase's sopranos is the sound. Great things going on all the time and not just the music. The desperation in this scene is real. It's very possible that NY played him and that they're still out for blood. At the same time, Carlo possibly flipping would send Tony to prison for likely the rest of his life. Lastly, with the exception of Paulie all of the closest people in Tony's inner circle over the years are dead. The world that Tony has fashioned for himself is now closing in on him like a vice.

He's the biggest cheerleader for killing Veto (before anything is even confirmed), gets his job (how convenient), still talks shit to Tony about him as he's being promoted (when its clear Tony's not happy he had to make this decision), blames Sil IMMEDIATELY after Tony finds out about Fat Dom, can bring in any money from a crew that flourished under the last two capos (Ralph and Vito), then flips at the first sign of trouble

It didn't really occur to me before, but there is a line in this that could support the theory that Tony was killed and it was Paulie who gave the OK to New York. Him and Carlo were going to meet Butch and some others from New York, and it is apparent from this conversation that Tony wasn't aware of it. They were obviously therefore in contact with Butch and could well have been meeting them to discuss a hit on Tony.
