I second that. In the last months of my ex-job, I had a really hard time keeping up. Getting up for work was a torture, and I had next to zero motivation. So I told myself I went 'riding' instead of working. I was litterally going to work for the ride!

Hey Dan, my comment is off topic from this video. So I am in EMS and I had a call yesterday for a motorcycle accident. The guy who was in the accident would have fair a whole lot better if he would have had the proper equipment on. He was wearing a jacket, a down jacket, feathers everywhere. He did not have gloves on and he only was wearing a brain bucket. Well, needless to say, his hands were torn up with abrasions and his face will not be the same. Besides all the abrasions, he tore his chin open, the left eye was swollen shut, broken nose and 1 to 2 teeth knocked out. He was lucky enough to at least have had on the brain bucket or he might have more serious issues now. So anyone reading this besides Dan, you really do need to ride with full gear and a full face helmet. This guy only hit a pothole going less than 20 mph and he could have died but got lucky.

Great to see a kabayan here. I learned a lot too in this channel on thr basics. Manila is quite packed so it is best to be in thr defensive side. Luckily, cars here are generally aware of motorcycles but there are always those crazy ones. One thing i learned is to study the body language of other cars and riders so i could stay away from the reckless ones. (Suv and van drivers imo are quite disrespectful to 2 wheel vehicles). I have a loud exhaust so they know im near. Luckily in our country, honking your horn and pumping the throttle a bit is like saying excuse me. In the US, doing that may create some road rage. Assuming nobody sees you is important. The riding conditions here are a bit different but still fun. Happy riding and stay safe

  • @RollingThunder808

You need to make another video because you missed the most amazing parts of riding that very few realize. It took me years to figure out why I was addicted to it. I love it.
    1. It's fun. It's like riding a roller coaster. You don't feel the turns like a car with side forces and it never gats old because you're in control of the fun with the throttle.
    2. You can avoid all the rough parts of the road and make it a smoother ride.
    3. If the road is slanted you don't feel it because the bike stays upright.
    3. Parking is easy. Lots of time you can find a wasted space at the ends of the parking stalls and fit in.
    4. Moving through traffic is easier with better visibility, small foot print and power to get away from cars quickly to change lanes.

Last point and reason seems like a very good reason to start riding a motorcycle. I've been driving cars for 10 years and I'm getting a bit bored and sleepy doing regular drives, not as engaged and immersed as I used to be when I started, it's still fun especially since it's a stick shift, but not that much. I also try to be more aware and present in the driving, but since I'm not exposed to the elements and it is quite safe it's hard to be a 100% present

When it´s hot, I usually take some water with me. My backpack it equipped with a water balder. That helps prevent exhaustion. As riding a bike is a good workout for the core muscles, it also helps prevent back problems. Some of my much younger coworkers already have lower back problems - including slipped disks. That sent them on sick leave repeatedly (partly due to skipped excercing). So far I have no problems with my back. Excercing on a bike ride is too much fun, so I do not get tempted to skip.

Hey Dan...what's your opinion on textile mesh jacket and pants? I live in Florida and especially in the summer, even perforated leather would be way too hot. I guess it must get pretty brutal in Arizona. How much protection does textile provide? Should I still expect road rash if I go down? I've read that textile doesn't help much in that regard. My jacket and pants do have armour in the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. I also wear a separate armoured back protector (had back surgery in 2012). Thanks man, enjoy your content.

Well. Will you try a cabin motorcycle? Such a "tracert" or what they are called... - I think that would be awesome. haha.
And yeah. My Toyota Auris Hybrid is from the mileage just like my bike. I mean - 300 kilometers are approx 16 Litres in my car and my bike could go for that to 380kilometers. But... my car ist hybrid - so... there is always room to drive in electric mode in cities and of course while braking - I take an advantage: I collect the braking energy. :D
I mean - it is fun in the cars as well as on the bike. But only I you drive carefully and not like a douchebag.
Yeah you can go faster - but it doesn't mean you have to.
    Nice video buddy.

17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring-those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.

Sorry, man. But those are very bad arguments. You are statistically many more times more likely to have a crash and that it will be a lethal car crash. So all that “economical” is not helpful if you are literally more likely to have huge medical bills on average.
I know that every motorcycle rider will say that unlike others they are a very skilled and careful drivers. But what’s important is average statistics. No rider crashes and dies on purpose.

Motorbikes are not cool because half the time you gonna die when you’re on it and if you worried about damaging the environment get a huge electric car

Why bikes are better than cars:
    1. They aren't.
